    “This is a terrific house.”

    So much space! ...

So much space! We stayed for a week, two families of four, and it wasn't cramped at all. We had a floor each, both floors had 2 rooms and a bathroom so we were able to have our privacy at night and when showering etc... Yet at meal times, eight of us were able to sit comfortably round the table together, and the same went for the lounge where we were all able to comfortably watch a movie on the two large sofas. There is a contained garden front and rear, and both our dogs were able to run around safely, plus some really nice outdoor seating areas (3), and a really great barbeque rig. When it's warmer in the evenings it will be perfect. The pictures on the web site do a good job of showing the houses assets... There were only a couple of tiny points like the hot tap in the kitchen sink not working properly, and it's not always possible to park in front of the property, but none of these points spoiled our week in Exmouth at all. Great WiFi speed btw, very useful as my network (EE) didn't have the best coverage down there, although it didn't quite reach all of the house. Both ends of Exmouths lovely long (must be 1.5-2 km) beach (the dog friendly ends), and also the town centre are all within a 10-15 min walk, and a tesco (with filling station) and Lidl are a 2 min drive away. We found some very nice restaurants (tandoori nights, and the Grapevine both excellent), brilliant fish and chips which we had after a walk up the side of the river to Lymingstone, and also Dominos deliver directly to the house for those lazy evenings after a full day paddle boarding or kayaking. If the weather isn't so good (we had one day of poorer weather) there is a complex at the bottom of Salterton road with 10 pin bowling, which also has a bar and does nice food. We have had a cracking week, and always had options to keep the kids buzzing. The owner have us clear instructions over checking in, and made to nice recommendations (the cafe on the river Exe is a must)... I would highly recommend this property... Perfect for families with kids and dogs, for sure we will be back. 10/10.

In Exmouth, a smart, semi-detached, 1830s townhouse, handily situated just ½ mile from the beach, town centre and station.

Spacious and light over three floors, cool seaside colours and stylish decor add modern and contemporary sophistication to its Georgian elegance.

Behind, a walled garden with small lawn (table/chairs, barbecue, gate to back lane and one parking space), a lovely leafy seating area and steps up to deck (2 chairs, garden loo) and back door.

Small front garden (lawn) with 5 steps (handrail) up to front door to step up to entrance porch and hall; high-ceiling living room with stripped floor (rug) and original shutters, huge sofas, big open fire, TV/DVD/PVR, iPod dock; kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, freezer, large larder fridge, range-style gas cooker/double oven) with long antique pine table.

From hall, door to deck and 7 steps down to back garden and stairs up to first floor and two bedrooms - a double (5' bed, footboard), and a twin (footboards) with garden view.
