    • “Acorn Cottage is an excellant holiday let. Very well situated for discovering Dartmoor, beautiful walks close by. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. We have stayed in this cottage many times and look forward to our next visit.”

    Mrs Richomme, Jersey, September 2018

    • “We had a lovely time at Acorn Cottage. The village of Meavy is picturesque with a great pub on on our doorstep and with so much to do within easy access. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the owner very friendly to deal with. With only 4 of us staying we had plenty of space and it would have been fine for 6 as well. The cottage was well kitted out and was a home from home. There were s few minor things needing attention (shower head, tap) but the cleaners were very helpful on the last day and assured us they would pass the information onto the Handy Man who lives opposite. These problems didn’t effect our holiday.”

    Mrs Weston, LONDON, July 2018

    • “The cottage was excellent and very clean .There was a homely feeling about the cottage which made it a very relaxing holiday, with plenty of good walking from the cottage. The local pub was excellent to and lots of friendly local people ready to point you in the right direction.”

    Mr Towers, THORNTON-CLEVELEYS, June 2018

    • “This is our second visit to Acorn Cottage so that in itself should recommend it! Seriously, this cottage is ultra clean, well furnished and everything is best quality, beds are comfortable, huge conservatory where we ate all meals with a great view over a meadow with sheep, lambs, and cows.We do this sort of holiday three or four times a year and would say this is one of the very best cottages we stay in,the area is fantastic for walking with the moor and tors, many walks do not require using your car at all.One last thing,Thanks to Helpful Holidays who were just that! Mike and Sue Hughes”

    Mr Hughes, Wareham, June 2018

    • “One of the best HH properties we have ever stayed in.”

Mr Lancaster, TUNBRIDGE WELLS, June 2018

    • “Acorn cottage is very well equipped and in a lovely location with local shops 1 mile away with will stocked co op. Butchers cafes and garage all very usful”

    Miss Pennington-mellor, HORSHAM, May 2018

    • “A home from home,will return.”

    Mrs Howell, LEOMINSTER, April 2018

    • “A lovely location and easy access to walks from the cottage. The beds were very comfortable!!”

    Miss Briggs, Gosport, April 2018

    • “The main problem we had was some of the people riding their horses past the property stared straight into the house at us, we thought they were very rude and it was off putting especially if we were sat the table eating at the time. Apart from that the property was great, very warm and comfortable with a secure area for the dogs and ideal for getting out on the moor. It would be good if there was a small nest of tables in the lounge as if sat in the smaller of the settee's there was nowhere suitable to place a drink on. We were impressed at the warmth on entering the property on arrival and have already booked a second stay at Acorn Cottage for 2 weeks in October.”

    Mrs Fear, Warminster, March 2018
