“A fantastic lodge in an amazing location.”

We had a wonderful week here. The children loved their huge bedrooms (both with ensuites), the lodge was clean, warm and comfortable. The dog was well provided for, with a crate, dog bowls and treats. We had a wonderful week here. The children loved their huge bedrooms (both with ensuites), the lodge was clean, warm and comfortable. The dog was well provided for, with a crate, dog bowls and treats. The lodge is within easy access of Chagford and all its pubs / restaurants, and a short 15-min walk along the river to North Bovey with its lovely pub. What made our week so spectacular though was the free access to the hotel and all its amenities - we absolutely loved the pool (swam every day), gym (used every day), sauna and steam room; we played croquet on the lawn, we watched the falconry display on the south terrace, the children were taken off to cuddle ferrets (stinky) and collect eggs from the chickens, we sat in the lounge and had afternoon tea - it really is a truly special location and whilst you can easily access the beauty of Dartmoor and all it has to offer, you can equally happily spend time enjoying the view within the extensive grounds. Highly recommend this lodge for families - it had everything we needed and more.
