Milbanke didn't disappoint, it was spacious, well equipped with a good size private garden. The private path down to the beach gave us access to an area that was deserted the entire time we were there.
The cottage is situated on private land just off the start of the (very) quiet toll road meaning there was no traffic and no passers by. Peaceful bliss!
However, it is only a 10 minute cross country (or beach) walk to Porlock Weir which for a tiny village has a handful of pubs/restaurants/cafes catering for a range of tastes.
The house also has access directly onto the South West Coast path allowing you to explore in both directions.
Highly recommended cottage.
