    • “Whereas the property was well equipped, a lot of the kitchen equipment was tired. Several pots had loose and rusted handles, there was also an issue with the lower oven that needs resolving. The cleaning was below par, two dead flies on window sills and worktops all needed cleaning before use as did several metal cooking trays and casserole dishes Otherwise a very nice property in a beautiful location...”

    Mr Gibson, December 2018

    • “it was all very good except for the lack of wardrobes in some bedrooms, we did know about this at the time of booking but it was a minor problem.”

    Mr Jones, Towcester, October 2018

    • “We had a very enjoyable holiday. Unfortunately, we didn't realise the living/kitchen/sleeping facilities were all on upper floor but we coped with this. Sadly, two of the bedrooms had no wardrobes, only a few hangers on the wall. It was unusual as all the bedrooms were of a size that would take a wardrobe. However, this did not interfere with our overall enjoyment. The property is really lovely and had a fabulous garden which our grandson enjoyed very much. The pond was a little hidden and although partly covered I did accidentally put my foot in this which was a little unpleasant and startling, I would have worried had we had small children. We all liked the open plan living and having two ensuite bathrooms and another bathroom were bonuses. We would certainly recommend the property to others.”

    Mrs Noakes, Bourne, August 2018

    • “Superb holiday. Went with five adults and two dogs. Very dog friendly with dog proof garden and utility room that was excellent dog bedroom. Great open plan living room/ dining room/ kitchen. Superb pub in village. Highly recommended.”

    Mr Hands, Coventry, May 2018

    • “Linhay is in a lovely village setting and the garden is really nice. We would highly recommend the food in the village pub which is a very short walk away (albeit up a steep hill).”

    Mrs Laker, Ramsgate, May 2018

    • “The layout was ideal for parents with young children and grand parents. Lovely to have so many loos and showers and so much space. The maps and information were helpful, and the pool table and TV games downstairs were well used. We did not need them but the supply of family DVDs would have been useful in bad weather. Good suntrap at the top of the garden. Loddiswell is a good base for the area.”

    Mrs Clark, Reading, April 2018

    • “Lovely accommodation. Comfortable and well equipped. Large, enclosed and pretty garden which was lovely to sit in. The village is very friendly and the coast is an easy 15-20 minute drive away. All in all, lovely.”

Miss Kyle, ST. ALBANS, April 2018

    • “Good location pub just up the road. Close to Kingsbridge. Under floor heating loved it. Everything you need in a cottage break”

    Mr Hamlyn, Plymouth, January 2017

    • “This property would be overpriced even if it was immaculately clean and well equipped. It has been designed to squeeze in a 4th bedroom at the expense of the living area, and the size of the double bedrooms. The living area (kitchen, dining and sitting room all in one) was cramped for 5 adults. For 8 I think it would be severely so. There is no alternative other than a dark games room - painted breeze blocks, sparse furniture. OK for kids maybe. The double bedrooms are small and have no wardrobes only hangers on a rail. The double beds are not good quality and the mattresses now worn and need replacing. The photos on the website are misleading. And there is nothing showing the front of the property which oddly has 4 garages built in to the ground floor. As to the standard of cleanliness / maintenance of the property this was very poor. Items need replacing: the toaster, chipped mugs, one of the Wi remotes. On arrival we found live maggots in the food waste bin which was left on a window ledge in the kitchen area. The kitchen worktop is wood (bad choice for a holiday let property) and is stained. Worst of all was the state of the 2 en suite showers. There was extensive black mould and staining around the cubicle itself and on the hose and shower head. There was also some mould around the shower in the bathroom although not as much.”

    Mr Clift, Oxford, August 2018
