The property

By the pretty churchyard in Drewsteignton, a detached, thatched, Grade II listed cottage with its own tiny enclosed garden in front (patio, table/chairs).

Inside, character and charm with some low ceilings/lintels.

Mainly white/pale washed walls; pretty furnishings and paintings.

Hall, off which living room with beams (5'10"), large inglenook (open fire) and TV/DVD; 5 steps down to ‘quiet room’ with TV.

Good-sized kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, oil-fired Rayburn, electric cooker).

Steep stairs up to two bedrooms - a lovely good-sized double (5' bed, TV) with ceiling/beams to the apex and windows each side of the room, and a twin (limited clothes-hanging space); bathroom (suite, shower over bath).

A family-enjoyed cottage with homely touches, close to a friendly inn and with picturesque valley walks from the doorstep. Drewsteignton: exceptionally pretty village (pub, PO/shop, restaurant, church) on a ridge a mile from the most spectacular part of the River Teign valley (wooded river-bank and heathland walks).

Marvellous scenery; fishing; extraordinary Castle Drogo (National Trust); Chagford, 3 miles; the open moor, 6; Exeter, 14.
