The property

Welcome to Little Underhill: a Grade II Georgian townhouse nestled in the heart of the pretty riverside village of Lympstone, Devon.

This is a village steeped in history being a port in medieval times well known for smuggling, fishing and even 18th century ship building.

This fabulous, quirky and eclectic home is only a minute's walk to the waters edge.

Set over four floors, the house offers a wealth of home comforts for a relaxing self-catering getaway on the south west coast of England. As you step into the relaxing atmosphere of Little Underhill, you'll feel your holiday has begun.

Be enchanted by the well-kept living areas as you enter your new home-away-from-home, including a custom, hand-built kitchen where the family chef can prepare delicious, home-cooked meals to be enjoyed in the adjacent living/dining room, gathered around the dining table, then relax on the plush sofas where a central open fire will keep you cosy as you all watch a film or two on the TV.

Take a relaxing bath as day turns to night, then escape to one of the three homely bedrooms to rest and recharge before the dawn of a new day. Aside from cooking in the kitchen at Little Underhill there are three great pubs all serving food which are very close by.

Also Michael Caines' Michelin Star hotel and restaurant, Lympstone Manor Hotel, perfect for a special occasion, is a five minute drive away.

There is also a tearoom, grocery store and art gallery on your doorstep. Lympstone railway station is a short walk away allowing you to take a journey on the ‘Avocet’ line which takes you to Exmouth or Exeter (beach or city): the views are fabulous as it follows the estuary for most of the journey.

The cycle track/footpath also follows the estuary with many places for bird watching. A walk to Topsham will take you by Darts Farm for shopping or refreshments.

Places to Visit: Dartmoor, Exmoor, the lovely towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis, or even have a fabulous breakfast at Ducky’s found on the beach in Beer: they are all a short drive away.

The River Exe Floating Cafe is a great place to visit but booking is essential. Fabulous country walks or the south west coast path, along with river and Jurassic coast cruises from Exmouth. The list is endless: whatever you choose will not be a disappointment. Then wind down if you wish with a glass of wine on the beach and watch the sun set over Lympstone.

Book Little Underhill and bring the whole family to Devon for an unforgettable holiday.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
