    Very spacious and so nice to be able to walk in to Tavistock which has a lovely market and some fantastic shops. Route by the railway is really good! Decor generally very good and kitchen well equipped. My son loved having Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV! ...

    Very spacious and so nice to be able to walk in to Tavistock which has a lovely market and some fantastic shops. Route by the railway is really good! Decor generally very good and kitchen well equipped. My son loved having Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV! Only some small niggles - Downstairs shower room had no mirror or towel rail. Had an unfinished feel. - Beds very creaky and small. Mattresses are showing their age - Issue with drains in extension. There is a smell which you can cope with but should be sorted - No hairdryers or shaver sockets. - Bins not emptied on the Monday which meant we had a backlog of refuse - no clothes horse That said we could consider returning in the future.

Drive up the private lane, through the gate to the graveled parking area.

At the front of the house discover the beautiful, enclosed garden, complimented with raised terrace (table/chairs) to enjoy an evening meal, lawn to play on and a small fenced fish pond.

With a warm and welcoming feel, you will enjoy relaxing in front of the open fire in the front room while watch a family movie (TV/DVD, WIFI), or cuddle or up with a book in the bay window looking over the garden, and door to the sun-room. Eat in the dining room soaking up the views from the bay windows.

Enjoy cooking in the stylish kitchen complete with dishwasher, microwave, larder fridge, gas hob/electric oven.

Walk through to the breakfast room with space for four to sit round the table and chairs.

A washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge-freezer is easily accessible through a door to the utility room with a small shower room.

Stairs from the hall lead directly to the three bedrooms- two doubles, both with views over Tavistock to the moors beyond, and a pretty single room.

The bathroom consists of a shower above the bath and a wash basin with a separate loo. This is a family-friendly comfortable house in an excellent location for town and moorland exploration, Tavistock: fine ancient town on the River Tavy on the edge of Dartmoor, evolving around an abbey founded in 974 AD, and Sir Francis Drake’s home town.

Lots of interesting shops, panniers/farmers’ markets, pubs, restaurants, wharfside theatre (also film/live music), leisure center.

Golf facilities, 1 ½ miles; horse riding and cycling routes within a few miles.

Nearby National Trust places includes: Cotehele, Buckland Abbey, Lydford George, Saltram House Plymouth, 9 miles.
