Visitor mooring pontoons opposite (arranged via harbour master, extra).Two steps up to front door. Big, light, open-plan living/dining/kitchen with beams, slate floor, flame-effect electric fire, smart TV/Sky/DVD/Blu-ray/PVR, iPod dock and those views (bring binoculars); smart kitchen area (slimline dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, 5-ring gas hob/electric oven) with French windows to small terrace (table/chairs). Loo with space for coats/boots. Upstairs (stairgate), two bedrooms - a double (5' bed, limited clothes-hanging space) with uninterrupted water views from bed, and a twin (truckle, zip-linkable to 6' double) with endlessly interesting views from a bay window. Smart, compact bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Loading/unloading immediately outside; public car park, 150 yards (flat walk, permit provided). Damages Deposit £250. No children under 8, except pre-crawling babies, due to waterside location. A wonderful place.
Teignmouth: small resort/port in a wonderful position at the mouth of the River Teign estuary, beneath the Haldon Hills. Sandy beach, Victorian pier, promenade, amusements, play park, skate park, tennis, crazy golf, shops, theatre, railway. Nice pubs beside the estuary and harbour (August Bank Holiday music festival). Good golf; windsurfing and birdwatching. Torquay, 6 miles. Across the river (road bridge) is Shaldon.

TEIGNMOUTH Dartmoor National Park 12 miles; Torbay 13 miles; Exeter 15 miles. The historic, seaside town of Teignmouth is situated in South Devon on the mouth of the Teign estuary and boasts a working harbour, sandy beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre and sea activity centre. The seaward side of the town is known as ‘the Den’ and has elegant Georgian buildings, a large public area with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a miniature lighthouse. On the opposite side of Teignmouth are fishing boats and beach huts, plus views of the village of Shaldon and the hills of Dartmoor can be seen. Teignmouth also hosts folk and jazz festivals each year, whilst both the town and Shaldon hold annual carnivals and water regattas. If you decide to venture further afield, there is plenty to see and do close to Teignmouth including; the stunning Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, plus the nearby harbour towns are well worth exploring.
