Fordton Farmhouse Cottages

Fordton Farmhouse Cottages are a pair of single-storey units, perfectly positioned within the East Devonshire countryside, with the city of Exeter situated just over 10 miles away. Together, Crispin Cottage and Bramley Cottage can sleep up to six people, making an exceptional retreat for families and friends to come together to enjoy the nearby coast, the surrounding countryside and the abundance of attractions and activities that are nearby. Crispin Cottage enjoys a cosy layout, with one double bedroom, a shower room, a kitchen and living room, making it ideal for a couple or grandparent who seek quieter moments away from the rest of the group. Bramley Cottage is the larger of the two, boasting a double and a twin bedroom, as well as everything you could possibly need to enjoy a self-catering stay with the family. Better acquaint yourself with your surroundings and meander into the centre of Whimple, where you will find a pub serving food, a Post Office, a shop and the Whimple Heritage Centre, a great opportunity to delve into the area’s past. Alternatively, head to the nearby town of Ottery St Mary, where you will find a larger selection of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as the magnificent parish church of St. Mary. Slightly further afield is Exeter, which is one of the most vibrant and attractive places in the UK, with its breath-taking Cathedral, imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside. Whilst in the city, be sure to brush up on the local history further with a visit to the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum or uncover the Exeter's Underground Passages, a narrow, dark, interesting and exciting activity. Nearby Woodbury Common is popular for walks and mountain bike rides. Other local attractions include Crealy Theme Park & Resort, the National Trust properties of Killerton House and Clyston Mill, the Wildwood Escot animal park and the World of Country Life, which is close to Exmouth. With all of this and the coastline to enjoy, bring your loved ones to Fordton Farmhouse Cottages for a fun-filled holiday in Devon.
