The property

Crockernhayes is a cheerfully-decorated, detached farmhouse resting next to the owners smallholding on the outskirts of Whimple, a charming village in East Devon.

Surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, Crockernhayes sleeps up to six guests and offers a perfect home from home for a family or group of friends seeking a peaceful but fun-filled retreat.

The property greets you with a bright pink porch where you can take off your shoes and coats before exploring the rest of the happy interiors.

Head through to the lovely sitting room adorned with yellow accents and a yellow painted window frame offering beautiful rural views, with two white sofas to unwind on and a large Smart TV.

Continue into the kitchen/diner with leafy green walls encompassing the contemporary furnishings, with a dining table and bench seating to one end and a galley style kitchen layout to the other, equipped with everything you need.

Adjoining this space is the utility, housing the washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave, and leading to the cloakroom with a basin and WC.

Spend time enjoying the summer months in the enclosed lawned garden, a delightful space to relax with seating for alfresco dining and views stretching across the fields with rare breed sheep and hens in the paddocks adjacent to the garden.

The centre of Whimple is around a mile away where you'll find the local shop, a pub/restaurant and a train station among the other local businesses, providing all you need for a self-catered stay to Devon.

Plenty of family-friendly attractions lie nearby including the Wildwood Escot animal park, Yarak Birds of Prey and the Crealy Theme Park & Resort.

Visit the National Trust properties of Killerton House and Clyston Mill for a step back into the past, or pay a visit to Whimple's own heritage centre too.

The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just an easy drive away, boasting beautiful landscapes for walking and cycling, while the coast and the South West Coast Path is just around ten miles away.
