The property

Uninterrupted views stretching across fields and countryside of the Axe Valley greet you as you step onto the decking at Apple Barn.

This beautiful stone barn is positioned at the front and within a courtyard setting of the owners 17th century farmstead, just outside the market town of Axminster in East Devon.

Perfect as a base for exploring the magnificent Jurassic Coast just 5 miles away, the barn has been beautifully renovated offering 3 gorgeous bedrooms, one on the ground floor with king size bed and en-suite shower room with TV, and two bedrooms on the first floor, one twin/zip link to super-king double and a further double room.

Both rooms also benefiting from en-suite shower rooms.

The living area is light and spacious with an open plan layout, timber beams, oak floors and beautiful open tread staircase.

At the far end a comfortable seating area is allows comfortable relaxation on two squashy sofas, positioned around the wood burning stove.

A central dining space provides that all important place to gather and enjoy meal times whilst planning the day ahead and the kitchen is equipped with all you will need for a relaxing self catering stay.

Through patio doors the decking offers a perfect spot for alfresco dining on summer days whilst soaking up the peaceful landscape.

Dogs are welcome at Apple barn and there are plenty of walking opportunities from the front door, however please keep dogs under control due to livestock at all times.

The town of Axminster is on the doorstep, just 2 miles and has a weekly market, two supermarkets, a variety of independent shops and cafes, several pubs including The George Hotel and the famous River Cottage Canteen.

For young ones the Axe Valley Wildlife Park is a worthy visit, as is the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth.

The popular seaside towns of Lyme Regis and Seaton are close by with many good restaurants and watersports on offer.

Join the coastal footpath at Charmouth and enjoy the views from the top of the Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast at 191 metres.

Whatever the time of year, Apple Barn is a wonderful choice for a family holiday or break away with friends.
