    • “Great house for family gatherings, enough space for all ages of family to enjoy. Stunning location, well equipped and very comfortable.”

    Mrs Weston, Wigan, December 2018

    • “An excellent house and grounds with fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils and facilities that make self catering and entertaining very easy - in excess of any previous location we have stayed in. Superb.”

    Mr Barnard, Seaford, December 2018

    • “Lovely house for a group meetup. Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Beautiful location with walks from the door. We would all definitely go again.”

    Ms Barnett, Duisburg, November 2018

    • “This is the first time we have used Helpful Holidays. Their service was as good as any other provider we have used over the previous 33 years. We were looking for a large property at an appropriate distance from our homes so that everyone could make it. Compton Bishop is an outstanding location with a property to go with it.The grounds of Compton House are very well looked after. The cleanliness of the house had been called into question by some previous reveiwers but considering the size of the house, the lone cleaner does a fantastic job in the hours available. Another cleaner would I'm sure always get the house top reviews in this category. The Mendip Hills were a delightful surprise with a wide variety of close at hand attractions, both natural and man-made, which we felt would at least deserve another visit. We would have no hesitation revisiting this property.”

    Mr Matthews, LEICESTER, October 2018

    • “A lovely house in superb grounds with a great outlook, House is well appointed with all that one could conceivably ask for and never a shortage of hot water - unusual for a house of this size. The only let-down was cleanliness - Many cobwebs in corners, dusty surfaces and dirty ovens.”

Mr Hill, MELTON MOWBRAY, September 2018
