“Many thanks for a magical week.”

This is definitely the best place I have ever rented. We wanted to come back in the summer but it's already booked. The idyllic spot.

The property

Enjoying an open uninterrupted view across pasture land to Hambledon Hill beyond, Giddy Acre Barn is peacefully situated a little way down a track on a smallholding on the fringes of Child Okeford.

It’s an ideal holiday retreat you’ll be impressed by the views stretching out from the French doors leading from the generous open plan living area to the garden.

The accommodation is all on one level and is bright an airy, designed sympathetically and furnished with guest’s comfort in mind. Kids will love the bunk beds as they are perfect for getting a good night’s sleep after an active day out, with grown up sable to relax in the large main bedroom, in the king size double with ensuite wet room with shower, basin and WC.

The open plan living space allows you to look from one end of the house to the other, with the very modern kitchen coming off the combined dining and living room.

Outside, there is plenty of space for children to play on the huge lawn, with benches perched on the patio area along the wall of the house, accessible by French doors opening out from the kitchen area.

Bistro dining facilities are available with a table and chairs offering the perfect place to have dinner after a long and exciting day out.

The surrounding area holds many gems to go and explore; the Dorset ‘Trailway’ runs from Shillingstone to Sturminster, putting you in a position to see Hambledon Hill Fort, along with other attractions such as Hod Hill and Bulbarrow (900ft-the highest point in Dorset). This barn conversion is a perfect family getaway for a holiday for a family to take some time away from the real world.
