    • “Lovely village property surrounded on three sides by other properties overlooking the garden and lounge. Very short drive to local beach. Ten minutes drive to some beautiful New Forest walks. Step out of the front door and a mini market and takeaway are a 3 minute walk away. Property in very good order and very clean. WiFi throughout. Best (full reception) in office, kitchen, downstairs bedroom and upstairs front bedroom. 1 bar reception and a tendency to drop out completely on a regular basis in lounge and conservatory. No curtains or blinds in lounge so neighbours can look straight in after the lights come on. Perfect dog holiday cottage with wooden floors downstairs and carpet up. We took a dog gate with us as dog/baby gate is not provided to keep pets downstairs.”

The Property

In a quiet leafy residential area of Hordle, a modern chalet-style house with good-sized, enclosed, level lawned garden with decked area (table/chairs). Inside, homely and comfortable. Arrival after 4pm. A great base from which to discover the best of coast and country.

Hordle: village (shops, pub) on the southern edge of the New Forest (heath, ancient woodland, ponies), 5 miles from Lymington (shops, restaurants, pubs, ferries to Isle of Wight). Barton on Sea beach, 3 miles; Beaulieu River (Nat. Motor Museum, 18th cent. Shipbuilding village) and birdwatching at Keyhaven and Needs Ore Point, 6; Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole (sandy beaches, boating, entertainments), 10 to 20 miles; Easy train access.
