    “This holiday rental could be great if a few things were checked and addressed prior to the rental start date.”


    In its favour, the house was spotlessly clean and the location excellent for exploring this part of the Dorset/Hampshire coast and countryside. We had a problem in the en-suite shower room and after a quick phone call the problem was resolved quickly and efficiently while we were out. The garden is well fenced and safe for children and dogs. However, the grass had not had its first cut of the year and was extremely long. Luckily I did a thorough check before letting my grandchildren and my own dog into the garden on arrival and was disappointed that I had to clear up at least three decaying dog feaces amongst the long grass that must have been there quite some time prior to our arrival. We were unable to get the dvd and CD players to work and had taken dvd’s and cd’s especially. Finally, I think in this day and age it is unacceptable to only effectively access the internet in the study.

    ***Owner's Response*** We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday at Shanzu House and hope that you will return soon. The grass is cut every two weeks, and the gardener was due on your departure day. I have asked our management team Homeminders to let us know if the grass needs more frequent cutting, and to check the grass very carefully between bookings. We have repaired the dvd/video and added a digital radio and a Blu-Ray player. A Wi-FI booster has been installed in the living room.
