“Car parking is difficult, particularly at school drop off and collection times.”
The fridge is tiny. Otherwise, all very good
The fridge is tiny. Otherwise, all very good- Mr Beaumont, September 2021
“Our family had a wonderful stay at Point Finger Cottage.”
It was homely and cosy and has a lovely garden at the back that’s a sun trap, we ate outside every evening as a result. Southbourne is a stroll away with lots of shops and cafes. We found the owner very kind and helpful. Thanks so much - we’ll be back. Amanda and family Cardiff.- Miss Arthur, May 2021
“Cottage was well equipped very clean and comfortable, downside , as it was school term time it was very noisy and parking was a big problem with parents dropping pupils off, then later picking up!”
!! and school is just across the road and it’s a one way road!! Don’t think there would be a parking problem when school is closed for holidays etc.- Mr Critcher, September 2020
“A cosy comfortable home for two to three people, would consider again for future trips.”- Mr O'Brien, September 2020
“Lovely comfortable house.”
Would definitely stay again. Easy walk to numerous shops, bars, restaurants etc and within walking distance of Southbourne beach .- Ms French, August 2020
Beautiful house and garden. Had everything you needed. But they need to up the cleaning. I’m sorry to say and especially with the situation we are living in I really felt that this house had only had a quick surface clean between tenants. Dried food under the table, and on the chairs in the dining room. Wee down the side of the loo. Toothpaste down side of sink. Food dried onto plates and cutlery. Sticky fingers on glasses, around light switches and door handles. To some this may sound picky but it’s so important at the mo more than ever these areas are super clean and safe. A deep clean is needed not a wipe around bed change and quick hoover. I’m sorry. I’d be back in a flash if I could guarantee this because otherwise after I cleaned house down it was amazing.- Mr Baines, August 2020
“Really great cottage in brilliant location.”
Easy walk into town with bars and restaurants and only a short walk up to the beautiful beach. The cottage was well equipped with a lovely garden. Rita, the owner was welcoming and answered any query’s promptly. All in all wonderful break was had.- Mrs Pinder, July 2020
“This cottage was value for money, very well positioned for shops, beach ect.”
The only criticism I would have is that the fridge is so small you have to shop daily. The stairs are steep and narrow so people with toddlers should be aware. For us it was a really good experience. The garden area was a delight and as we had good weather was an absolute bonus .- Mrs Pegg, July 2020
“The cottage was so spotlessly clean I was amazed.”
It never felt clinical It was just very clean and tidy and most importantly we could trust our baby to crawl and touch any surface! There was everything we needed in the property it was literally a home from home! Our one year old was instantly at home! The home owner was also very very helpful and just a text message away and made us feel very at home! My partner also proposed to which made the break even more magical...We can it wait to go back and will definitely recommend... Reading through that I notice I mentioned the word home so many times I don’t even think I need to explain how much I loved our stay! Thank you- Ms Heath, February 2020
“Great cottage in brilliant location.”
Bars, supermarket and restaurants are only a short walk away, the beautiful beach also. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. You have everything for the daily life including WiFi. Rita took care of everything and was welcoming us.The bikes could be stored behind the house, there is a small cottage. Across the street is a school, parents drop off their children so it's a little bit crunchy and noisy in the morning and later in the evening. IT was funny, sometimes we had a small traffic jam. We loved to stay here and we would appreciate it to stay there once more if we visit Bournemouth again - and we will...- Mr Sattler, September 2019
“This is a great location within easy walking distance of southbourne high street with its shops, bars and restaurants.”
The beach is only 10min walk away and the sand and sea were really impressive in the sunshine. We would definitely stay here again.- Mr Waterworth, August 2019
“Lovely house, easy walk to the beach and shops - highly recommend!”- Mrs Denholm, August 2019
