    “Enjoyed a relaxing week away.”

    Lovely cottage in a beautiful location very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of stunning walks in the area which was great for the dogs. Cottage was clean and tidy and was very warm and cosy. Would definitely stay again.

The property

The Mouse House is a superb ground-floor studio-style cottage resting close to Milton Abbas, in Dorset, perfectly located for accessing the Dorset AONB and Cranborne Chase AONB.

Inside, the property has been renovated to a high-standard with plenty of modern furnishings and a wonderful light decor.

Look forward to relaxing in the spacious studio-layout with a small seating area to unwind of an evening, whilst the kitchen has all the appliances you could need to rustle up some delicious meals for you and your loved one, with a dining area to gather over a well-deserved glass of wine.

Get some much needed rest for the day's ahead with the double bed and enjoy waking up to those stunning country views of a morning.

There is a convenient shower room with deluxe fixtures and fittings so you can enjoy a warm soak at the end of a tiring day.

Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard garden where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining, or watch the sun rise with a warm cup of tea and enjoy a good read.

Close-by is the market town of Blandford Forum, which offers a large selection of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience, as well as some shops and supermarkets for picking up those last-minute essentials.

You are well-placed for accessing either the Dorset AONB and the Cranborne Chase AONB for a plethora of rural sites and ample walking and cycling opportunities, or join the South West Coast Path, giving access to the popular places such as Weymouth, West Bay and Lyme Regis.

The coastline also gives way to some lovely sandy beaches for a day out sunbathing, swimming or surfing.

The Mouse House is a delightful choice for a country break to Dorset with your partner.

Milton Abbas is a village and civil parish in the county of Dorset in South West England. It is in the North Dorset district, about five miles south-west of Blandford Forum and 11 miles north east of Dorchester. There is a pub and tea room in the village, along with a farm shop. Every two years a historic country fair takes place in Milton Abbas where the locals celebrate the rebuilding of their village. It attracts thousands of visitors and recreates village life from the 18th century with various stalls, traditional music, dancing, farmers market and much more. Further afield lies the village of Milborne St. Andrew, the valley is named for the seasonal stream which runs from springs high up on the chalk downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering glorious walks and superb views.
