“Bailey Cottage was the perfect location for a family get together.”

The whole house is beautiful, but the communal area is outstanding. My grown up children made full use of the table tennis, pool and hot tub and we all enjoyed the lovely local walks.

Nick and Jenny have made sure everything is in place for a lovely holiday and also responded very quickly to any queries. Thank you.

About the location

BURSLEDON

Southampton 5.8 miles, Gosport 12.5 miles, Portsmouth 14.6 miles

Bursledon is a pretty Hampshire village, situated alongside the River Hamble. It offers a great selection of restaurants, cafés and shops on either side of the river, as well as a restored Georgian windmill, a village hall and a train station, providing links to the wider South Coast area. Stroll around the pretty marina, or hop on a boat and take the scenic route to nearby Southampton or Portsmouth, avoiding the motorway and traffic. The port city of Southampton is less than six miles away, where you can visit SeaCity Museum, which features an interactive model of the Titanic, which departed from Southampton in 1912, Southampton City Art Gallery, Solent Sky Museum, which features vintage aircraft and the Tudor House & Garden. Portsmouth is a city and naval base known for its maritime heritage and historic dockyard, which houses the warships HMS Victory and HMS Warrior, as well as being home to the National Museum of the Royal Navy, the D-Day Story museum. The closest beach is the pebble beach of Weston Hard Woolston, while a host of sandy beaches can be found slightly further down the coast along The Solent. The South Downs and New Forest national Parks are also within easy reach, offer plenty of walking and cycling opportunities through stunning countryside. There are plenty of fascinating days out to be had from this wonderful location.
