Why visit North Bovey?

Located in the heart of Dartmoor National Park is the pretty village of North Bovey. Taking its name from the River Bovey which flows south of the village, North Bovey is a peaceful village with thatched cottages surrounded by miles of green countryside. The village has one pub, but more amenities can be found in the nearby town of Moretonhampstead. 

Places to visit near North Bovey

North-west of North Bovey is the large market town of Chagford. The town has a wide variety of shops and is renowned as a foodie haven with many great pubs and restaurants to dine in. Head south of North Bovey and visit the village of Widecombe in the Moor. The village is famous for its annual Widecombe Fair, first held over 150 years ago. Expect displays of livestock, games, animal shows and stalls selling local produce.
