The property


... in a corner of the original walled kitchen garden of exceptional Cadhay (G100, tours on Fridays), 50 yards away, are the former Stables and Coach House. They have been finely converted with flair and thought into two good cottages, both well done and good quality throughout; each with its own small patio and grassy area (table/chairs) overlooking the walled garden. Inside the walled garden are beautifully kept allotments, fruit trees and a fascinating greenhouse, tended by the resident gardener, one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable you can meet. Over Whitsun Bank Holiday week in May, a church fête, several other charity events and the Nat. Garden Scheme are held at Cadhay and the walled garden is open over August Bank Holiday, when a section of the garden is roped off for your privacy. The original farm buildings are close by. Spring water.Professional catering available. Good walking from the front door. Exceptional for garden and country lovers.

The Stables have been converted just as carefully and well as The Coach House, perhaps slightly smaller overall, but equally comfortable and to the same high standard, with Persian rugs, antiques, paintings. Entrance hall to big, bright open-plan living/dining room (woodburner - logs included) with large French windows looking to Cadhay. Smart fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, freezer, fridge, electric cooker and door to your garden/patio overlooking the allotments. Comfortable sitting room/study with sofas, TV/DVD, desk, and downstairs lobby/loo (washer-drier). Upstairs (stairgate), three bedrooms – a double (6’ bed or twin) and a twin, sharing a bathroom (suite with separate power-shower), and another double (6' zip-linked bed or twin) with en suite bathroom (suite with separate shower).

It was a beautiful property and we consider ourselves really lucky to have found it through you. We would like to return there definitely. The setting is wonderful - close to so many great places to visit. The house itself is fully equipped with everything you might need and so comfortable. Helpful Holiday staff could not be more helpful in person or on the internet. Heartily recommend them.
