Welcome to Mousehole


Perhaps the prettiest fishing village in Cornwall, Mousehole is a horseshoe of yellow-lichened stone cottages, tiny shops, seafood restaurant and pub around a little harbour.

Two sturdy breakwaters shelter the little sandy beach which is good for bathing. An ancient hermit once lived on St Clement’s Isle, just offshore, and a huge cave is reputed to have given the village its name.

At Christmas visitors flock to see the stunning Christmas lights reflected over the water. Little has changed here since Dylan Thomas described Mousehole as ‘the loveliest village in England’
