This cottage was exactly what we needed.

Very peaceful and tranquil.....but only a 5 minute walk to the local pub...very handy! Close to Porthlevan which is a lovely harbour both great for walks on the coastal path and surrounding area, and also great for foodies with local pubs and restaurants. The Lizard Penisula is a short drive away with lovely walks and beaches. We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage and will definitely be back in the future.

We spent a week here as a group of four in late August/early September.

The cottage is situated on the northern edge of Ashton, set back in a second row of properties. Surrounded by high hedges and fences, the plot offers a distinctly enclosed and secluded atmosphere—though those hoping for expansive views may find them lacking here. Inside, the property is very prettily decorated. Operating the electric shower became clear after a quick search online. By design, however, opting for warmer water comes at the expense of water pressure. While the washing machine performs its task admirably, drying your clothes requires strategic planning and favorable weather; due to the high indoor humidity, even towels struggle to dry properly inside the cottage. The kitchen inventory is tailored precisely for a single day’s use for four people, encouraging prompt and daily dishwashing. When preparing meals together, the kitchen offers an exceedingly cozy closeness. The hosting style is exceptionally hands-off, as we did not meet the owners during our stay. Given this independence, a simple written message via WhatsApp or the booking system regarding the key location would have felt more seamless than a phone call.
