  • “What a lovely property, very well appointed, clean, tidy and really comfortable.”

The owners were very helpful throughout our stay, quickly responding to any of our questions. Location is spot on, just a few yards from the beach and fantastic views (and access) to Ste Michael’s Mount. Very happy with the property and the area, and would be happy to recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The property

This highly desirable boutique style first floor apartment offers a romantic break with comfortable, light, spacious accommodation for two.

Its location is simply perfect with the beautiful golden sands of Mount's Bay and the iconic island of St Michael's Mount moments away, giving tempting sea glimpses from two rooms.

Friendly pubs, great eateries, fine galleries and curio shops are a five minute walk away.

Enjoy a refreshing drink or delicious food at the Godolphin Arms; watch the sun go down from the beach terrace or relax with a coffee beside their wood burner in cooler months after a brisk walk across the beach.

Mackerel Sky provides a stunning base from which to explore the striking beauty and rich history of this part of Cornwall, being equidistant from the Lizard and Lands End.

Long sandy beaches, offering a range of watersports, and picturesque, hidden coves are within walking distance or, further afield, easily reached by car.

St Ives, is a fifteen minute drive.

Penzance with its rail links and with sea links to the Isles of Scilly, its numerous galleries and independent shops, is a five minute drive.

Its neighbour Newlyn, boasting the biggest fishing harbour in England and the quaint fishing village of Mousehole are also within easy reach.

The Minack open air theatre, with its spectacular cliff-top location, is also well worth a visit. Quality furnishings and high, pitched ceilings, coupled with white walls and carefully selected artwork combine to create a stylish, contemporary living space.

The smart kitchen is extremely well equipped with all you could possibly need for your self catering break.

The light and airy bedroom, with pristine white décor, is punctuated with bold splashes of colour, creating a bright and refreshing atmosphere.

After a sunshine filled day by the sea enjoy an invigorating shower in the immaculate, contemporary shower room.

Mackerel Sky really does have all you need for a magical Cornish holiday.
