Truly a wonderful place, designed and built externally and internally to the highest quality.

Also in an ideal location, with walks right from the door and a good hourly bus service. A wonderful local shop like the Tardis. We consider ourselves very lucky to have discovered Boskensoe Barns.

What an amazing place.

The long house had everything we could ask for and was immaculate. We like to stay in different places every year but this is the first place we will be coming back to... now wheres that booking link!

This was our third visit and have another booked during October, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It’s a quiet tucked away location, relaxing, with an excellent dog exercise area. Mawnam Smith village is less than mile away, we regularly walked into the village, excellent cafe (Sampys) also the nearby Red Lion Pub offers excellent food. The owners of the Long House have catered for absolutely everything, every possible kitchen utensil is included together with a wide range of matching white crockery. Highly recommended.

Our second stay already this year and we were blessed with much better weather.

We managed a few relatively easy walks from the barn to Maenporth beach and a slightly longer coast path walk to Helford passage. The barn was immaculate and really well equipped. It's cosy, stylish and so peaceful. You can have as much excitement or peace as you see fit. The only limiting factor is beyond the capacity of the owners, and that is public transport is limited. That said it's not a difficult drive into Falmouth, Porthleven or Praa sands. The owners and the Gardner are lovely. A great find!

An enjoyable and relaxing stay in the Long House.

This is our second visit and we have subsequently booked another two visits this year. The accommodation is stunning, beautifully appointed, the furnishings and fittings are excellent quality. Absolutely every kitchen and cooking items are included and of the finest quality. We look forward to returning in May and again in October. The dog walking area is a very thoughtful functional facility and perfect to let our pampered pooch of the lead. John and Linda

The Long House exceeded expectations.

Despite being a working farm, it was really peaceful. It was spacious, airy, cosy, well equipped and really stylish. I've never booked a second stay anywhere before I'd visited it, but I made an exception based on the reviews....I'm so glad I did. Our rescue Shih Tzu's who are usually nervous on holiday, were just as relaxed as us! You'd be hard pushed to fault this place...unless you focus on first world problems like not having more than one toilet.

The barn accommodation was stunning and made for a perfect week long Christmas stay.

Long House was spacious, beautifully decorated and kitchen had everything you could need. Huge plus for a fully secure dog enclosed field.

Superb holiday property!

From the generous arrival hamper; the children’s play park; the large pile of wood for the woodburner; integrated Sonos; Netflix subscription; quality of kitchen and bathroom fixtures; and cleanliness, this is comfortably up there as one of the best holiday properties we’ve stayed at over many years of holidaying in the area. Fabulous location as well. Footpaths almost straight out of the door crisscross all over the Helford. Thank you to the hosts!

This was our second stay at Long Barn this year and again it failed to disappoint.

The barn is beautifully fitted out and the lounge dining kitchen is such a good size. Parking is plentiful and it is nice that all cars are tucked away and out of sight from the barns. There’s plenty of everything and the welcome pack is a bonus on arrival.

This holiday home is immaculate.

On arrival we had been left a very substantial welcome pack consisting of lots of local produce. The rooms were very clean and all furnishings, bedding etc was of very good quality. There are so many wonderful walks and places to visit nearby. This was our second visit and will definitely be back again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Boskensoe Barns.

This time we stayed in the Long House for a short weekend. It is a luxury 2 bedroomed accommodation, spotless, clean and welcoming upon arrival with a goody basket. The furnishings are top class, with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Sitting in the BBQ shelter opposite having a cup of tea (or something stronger) with the sun going down and peace and quiet is a memory we shall hold for a long time.....what's not to like!!! The owners are very pleasant and helpful. we would not hesitate to return or recommend.

Such a wonderful holiday home.

Extremely luxurious from the bath robes, to all the beautiful bedding. Very well thoughtfully designed. Everywhere was extremely clean. We loved it!

We have stayed at many cottage holiday locations in the West Country, a good number of them through Helpful Holidays.

The standard of provision that Bridget and Mark provided at Long House was of an exceptionally high standard and for us, right up there with the very best. It was beautifully furnished, at quality and above expectations. Anyone who is fortunate enough to stay at Long House will enjoy, appreciate and be encouraged to return. Just one suggestion, the step up into the main living area could have had some form of indication/contrast for guests to spot this easier and avoid any potential mishaps. Thank you Bridget and Mark for everything.

Fabulous holiday cottage, very well equipped in a lovely location.

Beautifully presented on arrival, spotlessly clean. Having said that, the lounge / kitchen area of Long House has a high level window that is at ground level of the hot tub of the next door cottage. This cottage hosts large groups. The window acts like the cone of a speaker and the large open space in Long Barn amplifies the sound of a large group next door enjoying themselves. No window, no problem. This was unbearable in our first week, had to watch TV in the bedroom where the TV is at a right angle to the bed, not comfortable watching.

The moment we arrived we had that ‘Wow’ moment!

The long house was beautifully furnished and very clean. I cannot fault it. Also the grounds are manicured and well presented. A very generous welcome pack of local produce was most welcome and doggy treats too. The dog exercise area was safely fenced and a good size. A perfect location for exploring the Helford estuary. We will definitely be going back.

Very stylish and very well equipped.

Great welcome pack. My two dogs ran their socks off in the good sized and perfectly enclosed exercise area. My only tiny quibbles probably wouldn't even be negatives for other people : no blinds to block out bright light from the high overhead windows or solid blind/curtain in lounge for complete privacy at night.

Just wonderful!

The location was peaceful and felt safe. The barn itself has been completed to a high standard, was clean and we could see and appreciate the thought, time and detail that had been put into making it look so fabulous. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed exercise area. The EV charging was included and much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely week and we will be back soon!

Everything was absolutely top notch!

Nothing could be faulted, from the first step over the threshold to meeting Bridget on departure. Even our little pooch Frank was looked after. Hats off to the cleaners as it was immaculate upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to spend some time here.

Perfectly located on the outskirts of a village and within walking distance of a beautiful bay. Very well equipped. Very comfortable. The welcome basket of locally sourced produce was a very special touch. We’ll be coming back.

Long house is a lovely barn conversion fitted with high quality materials and furnishings, really enjoyed our stay there and appreciated the enclosed field to let our dog have a good runaround.

Place was lovely.

We stayed for a week and couldn’t fault it. Very clean and well maintained. (Only fault I would say is there was some ants in the boiler cupboard) I mean it’s summer and this can’t be helped. The whole place was so nice and the dog area at the back was a really good idea. Would 100% recommend to any one looking to stay in Cornwall. We’re looking to go on another trip next year somewhere else in England but after staying here and looking at other places we’re really struggling to find one as nice.

A super property with everything you could need.

We were so pleased to stay at Long House again having had to postpone due to covid & twins!

! The cottage is as perfect now as it was 5yrs ago when we stayed, the high maintenance of the property is amazing. Perfectly located for lots of beach days and days out exploring Cornwall. The cottage is very well equipped & would highly recommend a stay here, I'm just sad that our family of 5 are now too big to stay at Long House, oh well we'll have to book Pig House instead haha

Lovely property on the edge of a beautiful, friendly village.

Location is perfect for a quick drive to falmouth or touring around Cornwall. Everything is thought of by owners from a welcome pack, milk and butter in fridge, even a vase of fresh flowers . 10 out of 10 for everything.

What a wonderful surprise when we arrived at the property…. beautiful, clean, well equipped, stylish, relaxing, luxury, peaceful and just what we needed on our girlie weekend away from our busy lives. Perfect location with stunning walks nearby. Thank you for the personal touch with the goodies you left us and preparing the log burner so we could relax with a glass of wine as soon as we arrived! It is going to be very difficult to find out next stay away as the bar has been highly set. Thank you again from four happy, relaxed and grateful ladies.

Absolutely gorgeous barn.

Modern, clean and well equipped... everything you could possibly need during your stay. Greeted with a welcome tray of food goodies which were delicious, along with lovely fresh flowers, fluffy towels and crisp cotton robes everything was immaculate! No doubt the best holiday let we have ever stayed in . The dog wasn’t left out she had her own feeding bowl , food mat, poo bags and treats ! Long house is nestled amongst the other barns set back off a quiet country lane which is accessed by electric gates . There is plenty of walking space and the park and dog walk are well sized with views to the beautiful countryside. A short walk from the village was handy for the village shop which is well stocked with pretty much everything you could need . In the village there is also a really nice coffee shop and pub which served a great cold cider and meals . The barns are close to Falmouth which is around 10 minute drive or regular buses run from the village. We can personally recommend long house to anyone whether it be relaxing or getting out and about there is plenty to do . I could go on forever about long barn with it’s delightful interior to the jacuzzi in the bathroom it truly was more than home from home we didn’t want to leave. The owners and cleaners were very helpful and friendly and you are left alone to your stay with the owners across the road if needed. So that leaves us to say thank you for a wonderful relaxing break ! Would definitely like to return!!!

Everything was perfect , we loved the wood burner and used it every night.

The owners had thought of everything down to the finest detail , and we can honestly say this was by far the best cottage / holiday let that we have stayed in .

This is the best holiday cottage/barn that we have ever stayed in, and we come to Cornwall every year!

Our usual week next year is already booked by someone else, we need to look for an alternative date. The barn is kitted out exceptionally well, the furnishing and fabrics are of a top quality, bathroom is beautiful, and everything was immaculate. Thank you for letting us stay!

We had an excellent stay.

We were greeted with an amazing basket of treats which we grazed on all week. The unit was clean and everything was extremely well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed. Location was perfect... a country stay, yet still close to many places. We were traveling with our 83 year old mother and the bathroom and single level accommodations were great for her...only 1 step inside! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Long House had everything you could possibly need for a holiday treat.

A welcoming basket of Cornish goodies, bath robes as well as fluffy towels, comfy seating and beds and a welcome from Bridget which assured if anything else was needed she was there. The location is beautiful, so many places to visit within easy access. Although on a working farm was never disturbed by any noise just the distance mooing at milking time which was delightful.

Everything was great really - we will def book again.

Only change feedback is for better recycling facilities - looks like we can only recycle glass and that’s it, which given most of Cornwall is AONB is a shame

A fantastic property in a great location close to the Helford River and the Lizard Peninsula.

Long House is a spacious property with a stunning open plan living space, all fitted out and furnished to a high specification. The barn conversion was spotlessly clean and very cosy especially in the evening with the lovely log burner. The small complex of dwellings is both attractive and safe with plenty of on-site parking and a gated access. The nearby village of Mawnan Smith is a short walk away. We had a wonderful holiday!

We absolutely loved our stay here, the barns looked beautiful with the Christmas lights and the Christmas decorations really added to the festive holiday!

The barn was immaculate, everything was to a high standard and the bed was really comfy! It was the perfect base for our first trip to Cornwall. Mark and Bridget were easily contactable via email and provided additional logs for us and recommendations which was an added touch. Highly recommended!

It was very clean on arrival and had a welcoming pack of essentials. ideally situated for local beaches and tourist attractions.

The cottage was fantastic, spotlessly clean, the hosts were helpful and welcoming and always on hand for any issues.

The house was logged into Netflix and Amazon with a Sonos iPad sounds system- home from home, comfy beds, lovely linen. Cottage was quite hot though even with the windows open and the sun not being out. Beautiful setting, quiet countryside but only 5 miles from Falmouth. Only one negative for the whole stay was the guests next door- an extremely loud and badly behaved group of teenagers, the close proximity to Mill House made this a bit of an issue.

Perfect place, perfect location.

The owners have done a fabulous job converting the barns into luxury holiday accommodation.

There isn’t anything they haven’t thought of. We have stayed in many properties in Cornwall and this was by far the best. The kitchen is really well equipped, the arrival hamper was so thoughtful. Pet friendly they even left bonio biscuits for our dog. Would highly recommend. Settings are beautiful and the electric gates made us feel very safe.

This is the third time we have stayed at one of the barns at Boskensoe and the standard of cleanliness , the furniture and entire property has remained of a high standard.

Importantly the furniture doesn’t just look good but is actually comfortable too. So lovely to snuggle on at night if you want to watch tv. A credit to the owners who are friendly and approachable. Beautiful location, peaceful , can’t recommend Boskensoe enough. We have already booked to go again .

This is a superb arrangement of 4 cottages and although all the properties were in use there is plenty of privacy and quiet . Beautiful modern decor with lots of space inside giving a fresh feel to the property . We look forward to visiting again soon when all the COVID restriction have ended and the lovely soft furnishings can be returned

The Long House is excellent and exceeded our expectations in every way.

The property is tucked away in a court yard of four, in peaceful countryside on the edge of Mawnan Smith. It is stylishly furnished with excellent facilities. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom, BBQ and patio furniture, very comfy beds with towels and robes. Everything is thought out well and the owners are more than helpful. We booked our next stay here two days into this stay.

What a fantastic place.

Exceeded the expectations across the board. Everything in the house had been thought of - the furnishings, decor, facilities were a very very high standard. Communication with the owner was spot on - super friendly. We stay in rentals across the country a few times a year, and this was the best we have experienced by a good margin. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you!!!!

We had a fantastic week at Long House barn.

The accommodation was superb and finished to a very high spec with all mod cons and nice extra touches like flowers and dressing gowns. We made use of the communal gas BBQ and the kids liked being able to run around outside a bit. The location is good for exploring the surrounding area.

We enjoyed staying in this lovely accommodation.

The only observation would be that there is no window in the main bedroom, only double doors and this could be uncomfortable in the warmer months. It is in a great location, in particular being close to the Helford river and the coastal path. We liked being able to walk from the property. Bridget was very welcoming and helpful. We are sad that we will be unable to return here as this property is going to be pet friendly starting in August.

The owners were thoroughly welcoming and the accommodation was perfect.

From the well maintained grounds to the thought-through furnishings throughout the property, we had a thoroughly brilliant week. The text prior to arrival asking how we would like the beds made up (2x single or 1x double) was a nice touch, as was the welcome pack on arrival. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing for a relaxing and luxurious Cornwall holiday.

Such a beautiful cottage, everything about our stay was exceptional.

The welcome pack was thoughtful and personalised, our cottage had lovely fittings and a very stylish interior which included an integrated sound system and Netflix, the cleanliness was impeccable, it really was a highlight of our holiday to return to the cottage each night. The grounds were immaculate and the grass and playground kept our boys aged 6 & 8 entertained. We found the location to be exceptionally convenient to exploring the Cornwall coast line. Finally the hosts were amazing, friendly and accommodating and across the road if ever needed. Thank you for making our holiday so memorable.

It is very luxurious and extremely well designed. Everything I expected and more. I would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful barn in peaceful countryside but just minutes from village.

Top range fixtures and fittings comfy beds .We never used log burner as it was warm with the underfloor heating.Bridget left us fresh flowers and goodies.She came to see us and asked if we needed anything .My husband had ordered a wheelchair and we were worried if they didn’t pick it up on time but she said if they hadn’t arrived we could leave it with her.All the furniture was of good quality.The kitchen was the same colour scheme as mine at home grey and copper..Plenty of places to go and visit.Flambards theme park not far away.Cider Farm was good learn about how cider is made see the farm animals and enjoy a cream tea .Never seen scones as big couldn’t eat all mine.Its a beautiful house in a lovely setting.And the lovely couple who own it live just over the lane if you need anything.Gloria Steve and David.

Spacious quiet well appointed in a simple but stylish way. So many options available which we didn’t expect and recommendations for dining out were very accurate. BBQ spotless. Makes for a very special holiday and a great start. Thank you

The appliances were so good that it was a joy to have them.

Lovely shower, great cooking gear and the entertainment system was a treat, although I don't think that the screen in each bedroom was absolutely necessary, especially as the space in bedroom two is very tight and needs more storage. Small point though.

Excellent small group of properties all done to a very high standard.

Very comfortable stay and quiet. Our welcome from Bridget was very friendly and good to know that she and her husband are on hand if there are any problems - which there weren’t. The Cornish welcome goodies were a nice touch. The area is very pretty and close to the beautiful Helford River and plenty of eating out options. We will definitely return to Boskensoe Barns.

Fantastic accommodation - really nice to have the owners welcome you and check everything is okay.

Great communal area for kids to play and also a kids play area. Plenty of parking available and not too far from Falmouth. Don't miss Glendurgan Gardens - within walking distance from the barns. Lots of hidden gems along the Helford River, which is easy to explore from the barns. Definitely one of the holiday cottage we've stayed in. I would rate it 5 out of 5.

Our week long stay was an absolute delight to the point we didn’t want to leave. The Barn conversions are first class, spacious yet cosy and extremely comfortable. The attention to detail is fantastic with everything you could possibly think of was here. The very warm welcome from Bridget & Mark along with the flowers and Cornish Welcome Package & Milk in the fridge was much appreciated. The suggestions of The Ferryboat Inn and The Cove saw us have some superb meals. Thanks Bridget & Mark for giving us a wonderful stay and we will be recommending Boskensoe Barns to all our friends.

Wow what can I say about Long House.

...absolutely stunning!! The house is built & finished to a extremely high standard, everything has been thought of. We received a lovely welcome from the owners, Mark & Bridget on arrival as well as the cleaners who recommended local places to visit. The complimentary welcome pack was personalised with sweets because we had a child with us & our neighbours next door were given dog biscuits because they had a dog with them....it really is the little touches that make you feel welcomed. The play area & court yard were a super addition to the barns, our 2yr old could wander around the secure court yard & play on the climbing frame whilst we still enjoyed relaxing. As well as the travel cot provided if we needed it, the offer of a high chair & the step provided so children can reach the bathroom sink....everything really had been thought of. Top of the range Weber BBQ was a massive bonus & made my BBQ enthusiast husbands day, we used it a number of times as did our lovely neighbours in 'The Stable'. The house is located perfectly to explore the surrounding areas....the beaches, Seal sanctuary, Helford passage, Trebah gardens & so much more. On day 1 I was already searching the Sykes website for a return visit, I cannot wait to come back to Long House in the future!!
