Superb holiday accommodation!

We had a wonderful stay at Mill House.

Mill house was an absolutely brilliant house for our two families to share whilst in Cornwall for my nieces wedding.

The house is decorated to a very high standard. The upside down layout lovely as you unexpectedly step out to the garden from there which was equipped with BBQ, table and chairs, four steamer loungers with cushions and the absolute bonus of a hot tub! The owner was an absolute delight to deal with. We shall definitely recommend and return. The coffee drinkers amongst us would love the addition of a coffee machine.

We arrived for our break in this stunning barn after a long 6 hour drive from Manchester and couldn’t have asked for anything more (apart from the option of not having to ever leave this beautiful home

We were four couples in two cars spending almost a week in Cornwall, and the Mill House turned out to be a perfect base for our daily excursions to various towns and villages along the southwestern coast.

The house was exactly as described - clean, tidy, modern and well provided for with all sorts of equipment and amenities. In addition to flowers on the dining table, the owner even supplied us with bread, juice, butter, jam and milk, good enough for a simple breakfast in the first morning. The men in our group were all impressed by the SONOS sound system covering the entire upper level of sitting/dining area (controlled by an iPad fixed to the kitchen wall) and the ensuite bathroom (with a separate control) in the master bedroom. The ladies were all impressed by the kitchen and the gas-fired BBQ grill, which we got to use one evening when the rain finally stopped. However, some of them cited two small disappointments. One was the absence of a microwave machine (anticipated as this was not on the amenities list). The second was that a bit of a surprise - the non-stick frying pan was absolutely brand new (unlike those in most other BandBs that were seriously scratched based on our experience), but as it turned out, the pan could not be used on an IH stove. (I managed to talk briefly to the owner who lived just across the street on the second morning, and she noted that she got the pan without realizing this limitation - hopefully this will have been addressed by now). Personally, I have a slight regret that none of us took advantage of the jacuzzi not far from the BBQ grill in the backyard. It was filled up to the brim, well heated up and covered with a huge canvas. Should have brought my swimwear along! All in all, we were thankful that the owner provided such a fantastic lodging for our trip. Recommended with no reservation whatsoever!

Mill House is in a great location to explore any area of Cornwall which we’ve done, set in a lovely complex of barns.

The actual barn is outstanding, furnished nicely so it feels more like a home. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, coupled with super comfy bedrooms, and lovely bathrooms it’s been a great stay. We’ve had frosty nights under the stars in the hot tub and cosy evenings in front of the log burner. The visit was about quality family time and Mill House allowed us to do that comfortably.

Very well appointed. Some of the group found it difficult to get up off the sofa. Would recommend.

We had the double room.

It is not a double room. It is a single room. There is nowhere to put anything or unpack or even to walk around. And compared with the rest of the building plastic tables on either side of the bed. The bathroom is very nice but when you have had a shower the actual bath is extremely slippery and I think you need a handle or someone is going to have an accident. Arrival time 16:00 hours, departure time 9.30 hours that means you lose a day. Departure is much too early. I do appreciate that you have to clean, but all the instructions on how to leave the building clean. I don’t think leaves that much to do . There were only three black rubbish bags. The furniture is very uncomfortable. We either sat on the floor or on the only other two lounge chairs on the kitchen stools, when the sun shone we sat outside. Beautiful location, very clean, but it would have been very helpful to leave info as to how to actually drive into Falmouth and find a car park. It is a very difficult town to drive around every other turning is no entry or has bollards in the road. We Did have a lovely time.

We were a group of eight and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mill House which was modern, clean, well equipped and comfortable.

The elderly in the group struggled with the low settees and thought grab rails in the bathrooms would be a good idea, otherwise all was very good.

We loved our stay and thought the property was really beautiful.

A perfect place to relax with friends and family. We thought it was extremely well equipped with everything we could need and the little arrival gifts were very thoughtful. Our friends who stayed with us are going to look to book with you for future holidays, they were really impressed. Thank you!

Beautiful barn conversion.

Very well thought out modern, high end, accommodation, with excellent facilities. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault this property, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we will be back again.

The facilities are outstanding. Well furnished with luxury linen and comfortable large beds. Excellent bathroom facilities in these luxury cottages. Everything was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the enclosed garden area and the hot tub. We would definitely book again.

An ideal venue and location for our family reunion.

Mill Cottage is simply perfect with everything provided that you could possibly need, from the welcome pack of local essentials to the hot tub and BBQ. The owners were very kind and helpful when needed. The Red Lion is only 10 minutes walk and serve good beer/food. The coast path is only 20-25 mins walk away. Only one negative about Mill Cottage, you never want to leave. Highly enjoyed and recommended by us all. Many thanks.

Very cosy home to come back today after a day at the beach or on a nature trail I just wish there was more items in the kids area outside like a swing

We had everything we needed and more.

The property itself is of a very high standard.

The fixtures and fittings are top quality. It felt like going into a show house. In fact it is prepared to such a high standard, that it is difficult to believe that anyone else had stayed there. Bridget, the owner was very helpful and always available if needed. Over the years we have stayed in a number of properties. None have been as food as this.

Superb accommodation.

Great attention to detail. Extremely comfortable, space for a large family/group, yet cosy and inviting. Great location combining peace and tranquility with ready access to Falmouth and surrounding countryside. Would thoroughly recommend.

Mill House is perfect I every way!

Beautifully presented rooms, spacious and with everything you may need for your holiday. Beds are very comfortable and the hot tub great at end of a day of walking- it now has a gazebo over it which was great on the kne night it rained! Owners could not do enough, texting during week to see if there was anything we needed. We were able to see the other properties on the site too, all to same excellent standard. Would highly recommend Boskensoe Barns!

This was perfect for a three generations family holiday.

Over many years of renting holiday properties this is the best we have ever had.

Everything was of a high standard. Our weather was very poor all week and the holiday was saved by the quality of this property. The same can also be said of the Mill House, which we also rented.

We loved The Barn.

Its was the best equipped holiday home we have ever rented, and by far the most luxurious and comfortable. The design decor and furnishings had been well thought out and we had a great stay marred only by the smoke alarms going off for the last 2 nights, which disturbed us all. Especially as the last night they went off twice. Fault on the system. I emailed Bridget at Boskensoe barns twice but have had no feedback. I hope this has been picked up for the next occupants.

This is by far the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in in the UK and will definitely be booking again.

We were so impressed by the comfort of the beds that we came home and ordered the same mattress, pillows and duvet that we had during our stay.

The Barn was beautiful, very spacious and finished to such a high standard.

We loved the welcome pack with local goodies and the log burner was brilliant. Bridgit was so welcoming and helpful, and we are already thinking about a return trip.

A Beautiful old barn, renovated to an extremely high standard with quality fixtures & fittings. Comfy beds, large modern bathrooms, spotlessly clean overall. Lovely private garden space, excellent well looked after hot tub, great for star gazing ! Thankyou for the generous welcome pack, we loved the Cornish produce (and your local village deli store). The use of the electric charge point was also a massive plus. The only minus is the dog owners in other cottages that still insist on letting their dogs 'roam' on the shared area, despite there now being a dedicated dog exercise area. It meant we couldn't let our young family use that same common area.

Mill House, in Boskensoe Barns, is a superb property in an ideal location for exploring the Helford Area and beyond both N & S coasts.

It is well equipped, spotlessly clean and the hot tub is a great addition. We met the owners who are lovely people and helped us to understand how the oven worked!!! Would not hesitate to recommend, or return should we be in that area again. A truly 5 star property.

Beautiful barn, exceptionally well equipped and the beds were really comfortable!

This was our second visit to the Mill House and whilst it’s an incredibly long journey for us, we just cannot find anywhere else that compares.

The accommodation has maintained the high standards which we found last year; it is incredibly clean, comfortable and welcoming. Bridget is always at hand if anything is needed and will go out of her way to make sure your stay is a great one. We’ve found such a variety of places to visit, making the village a great location. The children love the hot tub but just have one request for mini dressing gowns!!

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet our lovely hosts due to covid isolation but all communication was excellent and helpful.

We could not speak highly enough about the property and the whole experience. It is rare for us to genuinely want to return to a holiday home as we like to vary our holidays but the whole family missed the house when we left. Mill House had everything and the attention to details was fantastic. We felt very privileged to have spent a week there. The area surrounding the property was very beautiful and peaceful, with lots to do for our teenage girls.

This is a beautiful property and Bridget and mark go above the normal to make the stay as good as possible 5 stars ⭐️

The accommodation exceeded our expectations! It was clean, luxurious, every need was catered for. We didn't have to use some of the things we brought because it was already available. And the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. The owners also kept in touch which was so helpful. We would certainly return and definitely recommend staying here. A great way to spend a long weekend in Cornwall. You won't be disappointed....

Mill House was beautiful decorated and clean. My only issue was that the hot tub was not hot enough on our first night but it didn’t spoil our time away.

As four former female schoolfriends (now of a certain age) we stayed in Mill House at the beginning of December for a pretend Christmas.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The house is well equipped and set to a high standard. Even during Covid times there wasn't anything more we needed than was provided. The open plan layout upstairs meant that even if one of us was cooking, we didn't feel on our own and could easily join in with the others. We only met the owner, Bridget, once due to Covid restrictions, but felt that if we had any issues we could easily have spoken to her (she lives opposite Mill House) and it would have been dealt with. Bridget even, with our permission, entered the property to put up a wonderful Christmas tree whilst we were out one day which made the week even more special. Mill House is in a gated complex with three other properties and is well situated, being just outside Falmouth, for easy access to most of the south west end of Cornwall for getting out and about. The village has a pub serving homely food, an excellent general shop and post office, a coffee house and a lovely gift shop. All within easy walking distance. There is adequate car parking on the complex and is away from outside the properties to give extra privacy to guests. The car parking area has an electric vehicle charging point which was a huge relief to one of our party. The weather was slightly against us for our week, but we did manage one early evening to make use of the hot tub to watch the sun go down! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mill House and as such we have booked to go back again in December this year!

This is an absolutely fabulous property.

It was perfect for myself and husband to have a birthday week with my children and their partners. It was very comfortable and had loads of crockery and cutlery to use in the dishwasher - definitely a 5 star property. The location was also perfect. We used the cafe and the Oystercatcher shop in the village, went down to Trebah Gardens and over to St Mawes. It was all in all a fantastic holiday in an amazing property. I would fully recommend it.

This property has a real wow factor and you feel like your living in a little bit of luxury for a week.

It’s a high spec, well looked after, spotlessly clean barn conversion, which our whole family loved (especially the private outside space & hot tub). Full of little extras such as toiletries, robes & a generous welcome pack that make all the difference. Plus helpful & attentive owners. It’s in a fabulous location, with easy access & parking. We’ve already booked for next year !

We took both Mill House and the Long House to give space for 3 generations of family to eat and socialise together while allowing us grandparents uninterrupted sleep and leisurely late breakfasts in the smaller house - it was a perfect arrangement.

Everyone was wowed by the accommodation which has been designed and equipped to a very high standard. The private garden of the Mill House was ideal for 2 small toddlers. The hot tub proved very popular with all. Bridget was a most kind and sympathetic host, mainly by email (due to Covid) but also, with Mark, in person on our final day when our car battery suddenly died! A wonderful location for a special holiday.

We had a really lovely week away at the Mill House.

It was extremely clean, tidy and well looked after. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t there; everything had been really well thought of. Great base in terms of location. We visited lots of places within a 45 minute drive each day. Plenty to do despite the rain we had and the hot tub kept everyone entertained. Already booked to return next August.

One of the best holidays’ experience we’ve ever had.

Mill House is just amazing place to stay and enjoy your time. It’s spotless clean,modern,charming and homely. Hot tub is great. There is a gas BBQin the garden. The beds are really comfortable. We enjoyed our time having breakfast and dinner in the dining room. You will find everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. Even lemon juice squeezer. All utensils,pots and cutlery are of great quality. The hosts are so helpful and friendly. The location is also great. We will definitely come back again.

An absolutely beautiful property with fantastic facilities.

We absolutely loved our stay, quite simply this is the necest accommodation we have ever booked. We have already booked for next year, as have some friends off the back of seeing our photos! This is a lovely property, the facilities are of the highest quality and the hot tub was amazing on the cold nights, the nicest way to drink a glass of wine! We highly recommend Mill House.

The barn exceeds our expectations.

Everything was more than we could ask for. The Mill House is one of 4 barns inside the property with loads of parking spaces. When we get inside the house everything was so clean and organise and the information book was really helpful as it contain from instructions about how to work appliances to information about places to eat nearby. It has a cozy fire place and they already provided some firewood, you can ask for more for a price but we already had enough on our stay. They had an all surround sound with a built in Ipad, they also have TVs in each bedroom. The hot tub was located outside - and all I can say is that we enjoyed that one. The kitchen has everything we could ask for, there utensils and baking stuff available. The owner Bridget, we met briefly but not seen her again but she was always one message away. It was really good as we enjoyed our privacy. We couldn’t asks for more, these gave us the feeling of self-catering accommodation but also felt like we’re staying in a hotel. We would recommend this barn to anyone.

Accommodation is superb.

The quality of fixtures and fittings are excellent and everything you need to make your self catering holiday easy. Such lovely touches like the St Kitts toiletries and a welcome hamper with some delicious bread made by local baker Tom. Would definitely recommend and hope we stay here again in the future

The whole experience received was wonderful and no matter the weather you will have a wonderful stay. We had the best time here and would definitely return.

We visited Boskensoe Bands at the end of July and it exceed expectations in every way.

The barn has been renovated to a beautifully high standard -I had major house envy! Location was perfect - 15 min drive from Falmouth / beach and the hot tub was an added bonus. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect family holiday - we were a family of 7 and when asked if the kids would rather go abroad next year, they unanimously agreed that they want to come back to the barn!

Mill House is a beautiful place to stay.

Decorated and equipped to an extremely high standard. A perfect space for a family holiday of all ages. The hot tub and bbq made for great evenings to be together. The Sonos and Netflix helped entertain the kids on rainy days. Most importantly it was very clean, spacious and homely and met all our expectations. We will certainly be coming back.

Accommodation was absolutely superb

Being shown how to use certain facilities would have been useful.

I have worked and managed rentals and have always met and greeted all Customers and gone through all electrical appliances. The accommodation was very nice and spacious, but not sure it was worth the money. The location wasn't very good. Our plan was to have as little driving as possible, sadly, that wasn't the case. Neighbours dog barking most of the day was an annoyance, very surprised people would take their dogs, just to be shut in all day. I find it difficult to recommend this holiday as the local areas were in short supply..... One pub, one small grocery store/post office.

Our short holiday in Cornwall was a great success and made even better by our stay at Boskensoe Barns and we would really recommend this place.

The accommodation was amazing, very modern, clean and perfect for our break.

The open plan layout of the kitchen, lounge and dining area worked really well as it meant that we could all be together and no one was left out. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the high quality finish was the perfect finishing touch. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing break and have no reservations with booking the property again.

We had an incredible week, which flew by!! The location was perfect, it wasn't too far away that it was remote but it was out of town so it was quiet. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!!

! From the beginning of entering the barn we were all amazed. It was big , spacious, clean and just out of this world. The owners of the property made us feel welcome from the time we arrived. The little sweetie jars left for the kids were a big hit, as was the netflix on the tvs. Adults thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Tub and surround sound music. We would love to return.

It was near everything we needed and everyone was friendly. The owners were very friendly and was on hand if we needed anything, the hot tub was great after a day out enjoying the scenery it was just what was needed. The accommodation was beautiful.

Luxurious and incredibly well equipped, it was clean and had everything we needed for the perfect weekend away. It was like staying in a high end hotel but with all the home comforts that you could possibly need. We would go back in a heartbeat and don't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. You will be completely impressed with the quality of the finish, attention to detail and excellent facilities.

Such an incredible holiday cottage!

Beautifully decorated to an extremely high standard; it feels modern but comfortably cosy at the same time. We visited for a week as 5 adults and 3 kids aged between 2-6. The cottage has a gate for the stairs both at the top and bottom which was handy with little ones. The kids especially loved the garden which was private and not overlooked, the adults enjoyed the hot tub, beautiful kitchen and the real log fire. The cottage is in good location, walking distance to a little village and only 10 minutes drive to Falmouth town and beach. Plenty to do nearby, and even when you are staying at the cottage there is the communal play park for the kids to enjoy. The hosts were very friendly and there to help if needed. We had a problem with the Ipads locking and the gentleman came over immediately to fix it. You can really tell they put in lots of thought with the welcome tray of goodies including sweeties, jam and biscuits from the local area which I found a nice touch. A few tiny possible improvments I will mention just for the future... a couple more bin bags and laundry liquid pods would be ideal especially when 8 people are staying as they ran out half way through the week and filling up the salt and pepper shakers would also be good as it's just one of those things you do not think to bring or buy when there. Other than that, it was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to return.

Mill House was a beautiful accomadation.

Comfortable sofas. Comfortable beds. Comfortable dining chairs. Amazing music facility with the iPads in main area and one bedroom. It was great having the open plan living area as well as the private patio area outside. So safe for the toddler and baby. Very kind of the proprietor to leave us two cots and two high chairs. We will definately be back for more of this wonderful family holiday location.

Amazing house, lovely rooms, huge hot tub, cozy wood burner.

All created the perfect getaway for our family and also our friends who we entertained there.

This has to be one of the nicest holiday cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few.

The quality of everything was exceptional. The house has been finished to a lovely standard in every way possible and there wasn't anything that you required that wasn't there. The owners were happy to answer any queries we had prior to our arrival and were very helpful and friendly whilst we were there. We were a party of 6 adults and one infant and had more than enough space. I would definitely stay in this accommodation again.
