Blue Oyster

We had a nice stay here , the owner was very helpful and friendly .

Parking you need to be aware you need to reverse onto a drive way and it’s on a sharp bend . The village is about a 15 minute walk ( not all has a footpath ) , where there are pubs and cafe and a co op and spar . Accommodation was very clean . I found the mattress on the bed gave me a bad back so after 3 nights we turned it round and it was better ( we could feel the springs through it ) There was a bottle of wine and two bottles of beer in the fridge which was a nice touch but missed the scones which you normally get in Cornwall . The garden is share with owners but not a problem . The dogs loved playing ball .

We had a wonderful stay!

The house was spotless, very comfortable, and in a great location, with easy access to shops and several beautiful nearby beaches. The host was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. We really enjoyed our time in Cornwall and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

I had to inform Sykes and the owner that I could not go to this cottage with my lovely husband as he past away on the 2nd of July.

I’ve been informed that I can only reschedule another date and no money will be returned because I only gave the owner a weeks notice to cancel. No empathy or consideration has been expressed and I will never book with this company again.

It was lovely to walk into a holiday let that was so spotlessly clean and well equipped (and the wine/beer was a bonus , thankyou!

). Dean popped by to check all was well; he was friendly and very helpful with local knowledge. The description didn’t mention that the cottage was in the same grounds as the owners property, but overall that wasn’t a problem. We didn’t spend time in the garden due to the weather! One small addition to the property that would have been useful is a mirror somewhere near a socket, perhaps in the bedroom, for hair drying. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Lizard peninsula and overall, we had a great stay.

Lovely property, clean and well looked after with the added bonus of a pool table.

Heating had been left on for our arrival, very thoughtful touch. A free standing or hanging mirror near plug sockets would be helpful. The only mirror is in the bathroom, not the safest or easiest of situtations to use a hair drier. Netflix was advertised in the listing but appeared you could only use if you have your own an account, but didn't bother us! Great place to stay :)

We had a lovely week depite a couple of rainy days .

The beer and prosecco were a nice touch and Dean was such a lovely host and very helpful . Everything was spotless .Thankyou for a great week.

Very clean with friendly owners Think it should say in listing it's just a smart tv it's very misleading stating it's got sky sports, netflix, BT sport, sky cinema etc.

You can only watch them if you can log in on your own apps.

A slightly odd place, but well kept and nicely finished.

Garden is shared mostly with a very pleasant collie who likes to play ball, upper seating and decking areas currently unusable. Pool table is fun but comes at the expense of space in other areas. Kitchen is definitely as small as it looks and is missing a few useful items like cutting boards and working space. Bedroom is small and windowless with little storage and a small double--fine if you're under 6' tall, cold feet if you're over. Bathroom good. Beer and wine in the fridge is a nice touch but tea in the cupboard would have been more appreciated on arrival. Host friendly and helpful. A great place for younger couples but we old f*rts look for different things. A good spot for starting coast path walks and Mullion village is lovely. Look out for The Cornish Curry Company twice a week, it's lovely food.

Lovely property close to the village.

Pool table was a nice bonus. Friendly owners and we loved their dog Bruce who loved to play fetch with his toys.

Just had a fabulous week based in Blue Oyster.

A charming,well- appointed cottage with great facilities including a pool table. Dean was most welcoming and helpful- the wine and beer gratefully accepted.! With weather mostly clear and bright all week,there was still a bitter strong breeze so the log burner made the evenings very cozy.The property is well placed to explore and enjoy the Lizard and surrounding area. The Chocolate factory in Mullion not to be missed! Would love to come back again

The Blue Oyster is a very comfortable spacious holiday property for one or two people.

It has all mod cons and an excellent en-suite double bedroom. I holidayed there in early February and found the two electric heaters to keep the property warm and comfortable throughout the cold days. The property is situated on the outskirts of Mullion village which has two mini supermarkets, two pubs and a fish and chip restaurant. A fifteen minute walk from the village will take you to two excellent hotels with views overlooking the rugged coastline. If walking the South West Coast Path is your favourite pastime then the Blue Oyster is ideally situated for walking all of the Lizard Peninsula. There is an excellent bus service from Penzance to Helston and from Helston to the Lizard village. The owner Dean is very friendly and helpful and is on hand should he be needed to solve any property issues or indeed to offer local tourism advice. I have stayed several times over recent years and I will be booking another stay in the future. I can highly recommended the Blue Oyster for a relaxing, stress free holiday.

Overall very pleased with the cottage

This accommodation was very comfortable and no issue at all with the plumbing.

The kitchen is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Dean and his son were very pleasant and Dean was very responsive to any messages. The pool table nearly caused a divorce, great fun!

A lovely property, spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and well presented.

The kitchen was well equipped, the shower was excellent, and there appeared to be no problems with the plumbing. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the Lizard and there are plenty of coastal walks within easy reach, as well as a pleasant walk from the cottage to Mullion Cove (via the chocolate factory.) An ideal base for exploring the area - we would definitely recommend it. Dean and Bruce were both very welcoming.

The property was a good base to explore the lizard as we have been here a few times.

The property was clean but not as comfortable as others we have stayed in. The bathroom had a few problems. The toilet pipes leaked spilling over onto the floor which was not pleasant especially in the earlier hours if the toilet was used as you got wet feet. Not great at 2am in the morning. There was a tin paint kettle at the back of the toilet so the owner new this already. The shower water took a long time to go down. This would bring the remains back up onto the shower floor. This was unpleasant as we had to constantly clean this. There were no wardrobes just a bookcase shelf and two bedside cabinets. The road is quite dangerous as you have to back in to the property on a bend. If the traffic is moving fast this could be a big problem. Lovely friendly dog and the owner was pleasant. All in all it was a good holiday.

A wonderful cottage retreat.

Even though it is next to the main road into Mullion and the cove, traffic noise was minimal. Dean and his family were very welcoming as was their dog! No complaints whatsoever, can’t wait to return.

We were greeted by Dean the owner and Bruce the dog . The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. It made a lovely base for exploring the Lizard and beyond. Blue Oyster was the most well equipped property we have ever stayed in.

The garden is a delight with all its wildlife, sit at the breakfast bar and enjoy . Pool table wonderful perfect location for exploring the lizard peninsula. Thank you Dean and Bruce for a super relaxing break we will be back .

The property has been tastefully furnished, it felt very homely .

Although the owners live next door, we didn’t feel like we were being watched. They were very helpful and informative when we needed them. The drive is on a corner, so you need to be a bit careful reversing in and driving out. Apart from that we Hope to stay again soon and do some more coast path hiking!

Dean and his family are amazing friendly people great hosts for sure.

The good: it's in a great quiet location which is always a bonus. The wood burner is very nice especially on a cold night. The internet is super fast and TV is great including netflix etc. the pool table was enjoyed by me every day. Nice kitchen including everything you need. The bad: unfortunately there where some stuff we didn't like the bed is very small for two people and is to soft for me and my wife we suffered from bad backs because of this. The shower was very nice but overflows all the time whilst dean did kindly explain to us why this happens it still made us feel like we had to rush and not enjoy the shower. The sofa was to low so no neck support. The parking is a little awkward because it's on a main road leading into mullion you have to reverse park and because the owner owns a car to your only left with a small space to park into. Even though we had some negative points to make all round we really did enjoy our stay thank you to Dean and his family for being great hosts

We were met by Dean and Bruce and made very welcome, we did reverse into the parking as advised, the cottage is beautiful, very comfortable and spacious.

You’re not far from most of the local attractions, lizard and mullion coves being the closest. Can see us going back to see Dean and Bruce again in the future. Thanks again Dean and Bruce.

Blue Oyster is very comfortable and was just right for a relaxing stay.

We loved the pool table in a wet February week! We also loved the gentle tap on the door by Bruce when he wanted to play.

The Blue Oyster is a very comfortable spacious property for two people situated on the outskirts of Mullion on the Lizard in Cornwall.

It has excellent facilities and a pool table! It has electric panel heaters which I found more than adequate in January! There is also a log burning fire should you wish to be warm and cosy. Mullion is ideally situated for exploring the Lizard. Mullion village boasts two good pubs, two supermarkets, great fish and chip shop with restaurant. There are two beautiful hotels on the coast within walking distance and the coastline is both beautiful and dramatic. The owner Dean is very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. This was my second stay in the Blue Oyster and I look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended.

Amazing cottage, very clean with everything you could want.

Open fire, pool table, powerful shower, dishwasher, comfy bed. The owner was very friendly, and we absolutely loved Bruce. We'd love to come again in the future.

We had a great stay, despite it being December the weather was actually very kind to us in terms of temperature compared to the rest of the UK!

Blue Oyster was easy to find with good parking outside and as Dean said; if you reverse into the space it works well. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well despite it not being kingsize that were used to. The shower was excellent. The cottage became very snug once at temperature. The heating was easy to control as you could set the thermostats for daytime and nighttime-similarly for the bedroom. Also the wood burner was an extra luxury which we enjoyed in the evenings. Useful having the Co-op in Mullion. We had a lovely Sunday roast at the Old Inn. Well located to explore and plenty of walks in the Lizard, Helston and Marazion areas. Even the Lost Gardens of Heligan were a delight. I can’t think of a negative about our stay- we would thoroughly recommend!

Stunning cosy cottage well equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay also in a great location, host Dean was friendly and welcoming, Bruce the dog was a charming character with bundles of energy, fab little starter pack of wine and drinks in the fridge, thanks again Dean.

After a very memorable journey from Yorkshire to Cornwall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Blue Oyster.

We were made very welcome by the owner, who had kindly left us some goodies in the fridge too.

A lovely garden to relax in, and a very comfortable cottage. The only small thing that would have been useful was a little chopping board. Salad and red onions, carrots & peppers would stain the lovely bread board, and we eat a lot of raw veg with lunches or snacks.

The stay was very good.

Lovely comfortable accommodation. I would say to Dean that the shower tray drainage wasn’t great and was not draining properly, and there was dreadful sewage smell coming from the drainage. Also the owner needs to make it clear on the description what are included in the starter pack. But lovely stay.

Great place to stay.

Convenient to all the beaches on the Lizard. Village shop 10 minutes walk. Poldhu beach about half hour walk - but go along the coast path from mullion to Poldhu as road very busy and narrow. Great beach cafe at Poldhu. As ever, Kynace Cove was amazing, though you have to be careful of the strong currents there and the beach cafe again excellent. Went to Wavecrest Cafe at Lizard point and had great fish n chips/Pizza and watched storm. Listened to the foghorns. Beautiful. Jumanjy Thai resturant very good my Mossiman curry was delicious and good size portions, price reasonable. Did coast path from Lizard point to Mullion then onto Gunwalloe cove and very good views. Great cream tea in Mullion harbour too, recovering from the walk. Our host was very pleasent and accommodating and even dropped us at Lizard point pre walk to save us having to go back. Thank you

A very enjoyable stay.

Pleased with the accommodation and standard of decoration and furnishings, plenty of space even with the pool table. Lovely to have a well kept garden and choice of sitting areas. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The bed was low and softer than we are used to but OK. Parking and pulling out was tricky as limited vision onto the road. Recommended

Its location is ideal for visiting around the Lizard area. The accommodation was clean & everything you need for a great hols. A nice big shower & a game of pool was a great touch. The only thing we would have liked would be a king size bed but that’s our preference. Would definitely recommend, thanks Dean & family.

Blue Oyster is a very comfortable and homely holiday cottage with bags of character and charm.

Well maintained inside as well as out and ideally situated for access to the small local harbour, beaches and coastal paths of The Lizard region. It is equipped with everything you would expect to find for a leisurely stay, and more! Need I mention the Pool table and log burner? Parking is very accessible being immediately in front of the cottage gate. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Blue Oyster is a cottage that I would definitely recommend and will be returning to in the future.

Having the fire was lovely and so cosy and we loved having a few games of pool each evening. Great location, very close to Kynance Cove which is a must see! The bedroom is so quiet and so dark meaning we got to have lovely lay ins. My partner was particularly happy to meet Dean’s dog, Bruce, who is so friendly and playful.

We had a lovely stay at the Blue Oyster, everything was spotless and comfortable.

We loved the pool table and sitting in the garden with a glass of the complimentary Rattler cider ., very nice touch . Dean the owner was pleasant and friendly and of course Bruce the dog was a pleasure. We would have preferred to walk to the village on a pathway but the first few minutes is on a busy road. Pulling out of the driveway is also a bit scary as there are bends both sides but we managed it ! Maybe us being in our 70’s being a bit cautious but overall we had a really nice time at The Blue Oyster . Thank you Dean

We had a fantastic week the weather was on and off but the cottage was lovely so didn't mind the odd day in ,Dean and Bruce were very welcoming and we are hoping to go back again next year.

We enjoyed a lovely stay and had a warm welcome from Dean and his family.

Such a nice touch to find complimentary wine and beers waiting for us. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had all the things you would need for a home from home stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. We enjoyed a few games of pool too. Our hosts went out of their way to help us even after checking out for which we will always be grateful. The location is perfect for visiting the amazing places and coastline around Mullion. We had great weather even in October. We were so relaxed by the time we got home. We would highly recommend staying here.

We were made to feel right at home when we arrived at the property and met by the owner.

The facilities were excellent, with very comfortable bedroom and well appointed shower room. The property was very spacious and clean and a perfect base for exploring the area. It was easy to pick up public footpaths in a number of directions from close to the cottage. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The owner texted to advise it was ready earlier if we were in te area and welcomed us with a lovely bottle of wine. The cottage was so comfortable with videos and books if it rained. Perfect location for viewing that area of Cornwall

Blue Oyster Cottage is a beautiful home-from-home situated a short walk away from Mullion.

It is open plan with all creature comforts provided for. The owner and his family cannot do enough for you. They are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive to any question you might have. My husband and I went on many walks and always looked forward to coming home to a few games of pool. Bruce (the family border collie) was always on hand to provide entertainment in the garden and the whole holiday was very peaceful and relaxing. A lovely touch was the wine, beer and biscuits that were waiting for us when we arrived. There were many DVDs to amuse as well as Netflix and Sky. I can’t advocate Blue Oyster Cottage enough. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I highly recommend this unique place to anyone who loves Cornwall and wants an impeccably clean, relaxing and cosy place to stay.

Suited us down to the ground, close enough to walk into town, Dean went out of his way to welcome us, everything was clean and tidy and everything we needed was to hand

The cottage was spotlessly clean, tidy, really comfortable and with everything that you need in the kitchen provided for.

The bed was really comfortable. Well decorated inside and just loved all of the photographs on the walls. We really enjoyed playing Pool most evenings as well. Thank you so much Dean, for the drinks in the fridge, we really enjoyed them. Blue Oyster is situated in a perfect place for exploring the Lizard, which we did using the coast path to explore the different coves which were stunning. The scenery is really spectacular. Would love to return and would definitely recommend.

Our stay at The Blue Oyster was like home from home.

A beautiful cottage with every amenity and spotlessly clean. It was a 10 minute walk into the quaint village of Mullion which had two pubs and 2 convenience stores for any supplies you required. We love walking and found plenty of the most stunning walks locally without travelling miles away. The owners are a very nice couple and are close to hand but do not bother you at all. We fell in love with their 2 beautiful collie dogs Fred and George so gentle and well trained. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend a stay at The Blue Oyster.

Lovely holiday cottage, perfect for a quiet getaway for couples or single persons.

Location was great for exploring the Lizard area and nearby and lots of great walks to be had locally and a bit further afield. We especially enjoyed the coves to the east of Lizard point and enjoyed a nice evening meal at the Lifeboat restaurant in Coverack. Having the dvds and pool table was very handy, particularly on the one day when weather meant we had to stay indoors most of the day. Owner made us feel very welcome and the two lovely dogs were friendly but very well behaved. Would love to return again.

The property was well presented, clean, and more spacious than I expected. The 2 border Collies are super friendly dogs and will become chums for life if you want to play ball with them. We had a wonderful week and would definitely go there again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Oyster.

Facilities exceeded our expectations even though we didn't actually spend much time indoors. A few beers at the end of the day and a few games of pool were ideal to wind down and refresh for the next day. Got a tad cold in the evening so we didn't make much use of the garden area though. Plenty to do and see not too far away within walking distance and much more if you fancy a drive.

The rugged coastline and fascinating Coves such as Mullion, Poldhu and a walk from Lizard Point to Kynance Cove were really enjoyable. Local villages such as Coverack were lovely too! All was provided for and clean and tidy! Will return when we can. Thanks Dean and family.

I had a great week in Blue Oyster.

Warm and comfortable and spacious. Close to Mullion village and all the attractions that the Lizard has to offer. The owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend the Blue Oyster to any couple or single person looking for a stress-free and relaxing property close to the lovely Lizard coastline. I will certainly be going there again.

It was an absolutely beautiful cottage.

Everything that you need was there. Wood burner was fantastic and we loved playing pool. Bed is comfy and bedroom is really nice and dark and quiet at night. There is so much to do in the area. The cottage is about a 20 minute walk to mullion cove where we saw a seal swimming!! Kynance cove is only a 10 min drive and that was the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen in the UK. We will look to come back for sure!

Very helpful owner who responded promptly to a couple of queries.

For getting around the Lizard and beyond, having a bus stop right outside the property was very useful. We enjoyed walking locally and did not run out of options. Mullion village has a very good co-op store and two large supermarkets in Helston. All very handy for a self catering break. If we’d been forced by bad weather to stay in, the pool table and selection of DVDs would, have been handy. But we put on our waterproofs and braved it!

We had a marvellous time at blue oyster.

We Had a lot of fun playing with the owner Deans dogs. It was nice just relaxing sitting in the garden.

Fantastic accommodation, super-clean and everything we wanted was covered and more.

Perfect bolt-hole for two, but loads of space internally and the pool table was just a brilliant bonus. Lovely real log fire for the evenings - not that you need it though as heating is brilliant. Dean was a great host - left us to it once settled in but always available when we needed to ask something about local spots to head to (you have to try the Jumunji thai takeaway on the main Lizard road - so amazing we had it twice in 5 nights!!). Dogs were great fun too, my daughter loved playing fetch with them in the garden. Overall I can't recommend Blue Oyster highly enough - we're just sad it is now booked up for pretty much the rest of they year so we can't go back!!

First holiday with Covid upon us.

Worried about staying away...we stopped worrying when we arrived, The Blue Oyster was beautifully clean with everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. We were within walking distance of the local shops, pubs, restaurants and the cove. Beautiful place to stay, lovely accommodation, friendly owners...

Ideally located with all big towns within easy reach and plenty of local places to eat out . I honestly believe Cornwall must be the best county in England by far , so clean too . We will definitely be going back again. Thanks Dean and family.

Amazing holiday.

The cottage was wonderful as were the owners. Ideal position, Great base to start out from. Loads of excellence restaurants with the freshest fish in the world. Five stars.

Our stay was absolutely perfect.

The cottage was pristine, comfortable and had everything we needed for our week's stay. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and beyond and we really appreciated the off-street parking right outside the cottage. The owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to everyone thinking of going to Cornwall.

The apartment was very cosy and had everything we needed for the week's stay. We couldn't have asked for more.

Home from home.

Everything we needed was provided for in the rental. If we had a problem or needed something, the owners were very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. We particularly enjoyed playing many games on the pool table and relaxing in front of the wood burner. Great coastal walks within a short drive and discovered many new coves. Walkable to the town. Good pubs and small convenience shops

The cottage was immaculate host welcoming and the facilities perfect.

We enjoyed staying there was like home from home. The pool table was fun especially as weather not so great

The cottage was clean, comfy bed and a great shower.

However, the dishwasher needed rinse aid and salt so was not usable. The kitchen although sufficient did lack some useful equipment eg: measuring jug, small baking tray, mixing bowl. We were not left any further rubbish bags for the bin. A nice touch would have been liquid soap in the bathroom. Our host was friendly and informative. Perhaps a visitor book would be a good idea, so guests could put in where they visited and things of interest. Eg restaurants, pubs etc.

Easy access to main road.

Bus stops right outside property, no actual bus stop signs but just flag the bus down.A walk from Mullion Cove along the coast path to Podhu is a must,with a cafe on the beach and a bus stop if you don't want to walk back.A further 10 minute walk takes you to Church Cove.Mullions Chip shop is well worth a visit,2 pubs,both good but beer prices not good.

Dean and Sarah are brilliant host they are very friendly and happy to help in any way the cottage is very well maintained and really comfortable it was a joy to stay there we didn’t want to come home Freddie and Bruce were a bonus they are dean and Sarah’s dogs they were amazing we had great fun with them all in all we had a truly lovely holiday can’t wait to return

Absolutely incredible little place!

Everything you need for a peaceful week away. Well facilitated kitchen area and a dishwasher is a bonus after cooking! Comfortable bed and a decent shower. Pool table to add to the mix, what else could you want! Local pubs and a couple of shops for the essentials whilst your away. Lots of nice little walks to the cove etc. Will be back again!

A mirror in the bedroom would be useful when drying hair.

A couple of bigger bowls for salad and fruit would be appreciated. Owner extremely friendly and helpful. We are not dog lovers but really liked his two dogs.

We had a wonderful break at The Blue Oyster celebrating our Silver wedding anniversary.

The cottage was excellently laid out, very comfortable, very clean with an excellent central location to reach all the tourist attractions of the area usually within a half hour drive. Great walking with easy access to the South West Coastal Pathway. Dean (the owner) was very friendly and a pleasure to meet. We will most certainly be going back.

The owner was really welcoming and helpful, and the two dogs - Freddie and Bruce - were great added value! Million was an excellent base for exploring Cornwall. We would highly recommend this.

Really great place.

Super clean (I get super stressed about holiday homes being clean even bringing my own bedding just in case and this was perfect!) Everything is lovely quality, house gets super warm really quickly even without wood burner on. Owners Dean and his family were really helpful and made us feel very welcome Were around when needed but you didn’t feel on top of each other at all! My husband especially loved the two friendly dogs aswell! Would def recommend and would love to come back! Thanks

Lovely immaculate cottage - we stayed in November and really enjoyed the log burner in the evening.

Mullion is a pretty village with some great coastal walks, can make day trips to most places within an hour - we went to Falmouth and St Ives. Parking at the cottage slightly tricky due to being right on bendy road - maybe a mirror could be put up to help with this to see what's coming. We really enjoyed our stay.

The owner was extremely helpful and friendly.

Blue Oyster was exactly what we required in terms of accommodation and parking and was ideally situated for our week's visits to Porthcurno, Sennen Cove, Coverack, St. Austell, Truro, St. Ives etc. Much better than the previous two years' properties which we had tried following the non-availability of our long-term base in Coverack.

What a fantastic place to stay.

Really warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. The owner Dean was really helpful and has two delightful collie dogs who just love to play.We have just returned home and had a great time even though the weather was against us. The log burner made it super cosy after getting cold and wet walking the coastal path. Perfect location, great for walking out from, and local bus stops outside too, Thankyou for a lovely stay. Hope to come again. Would highly recommend.

Location-brilliant.

Superb for anyone wanting to leave the car and walk. Everything you need in the village close-by. Pubs, shops, café s and restaurants. Holiday cottage top class. Our favourite among many we've stayed in. Dean the owner was extremely helpful. We loved chatting to him. Great guy. The two collie dogs Bruce and Freddy we shall miss, they are wonderful. Had a great deal of fun.

Hi What a beautiful cottage Clean, comfortable and the owners 2 dogs friendly and playful.

The owner Mr. Dean Lagdon was also friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything we only had to ask. A nice gesture of a bottle wine, water and 2 bottles of beer was very welcoming after our long drive from South Wales. All in all a very enjoyable holiday Thank you

Had a great holiday last week down on the Lizard peninsula staying at Blue Oyster cottage, Mullion Cove.

Dean the owner made us feel most welcome and although we were left alone to get on with things he was always available should we of needed anything. The accomodation was spacious & comfortable and was an excellent bolt hole for our trips out to explore the South West of Cornwall. The owners two friendly boarder collies made the stay somewhat more entertaining due to their daily antics. Highly recommend a stay at Blue Oyster. Ann & Adrian Hampshire

The Blue Oyster cottage is in a lovely setting and is ideal for a relaxing week away, giving you the option to just sit chill or to visit some lovely areas and walk along the coastal path ands see spectacular scenery.

The cottage itself was spotless and had everything you need for that break away. Is definitely on our places to stay at again when the opportunity arises.

We had an excellent stay at Blue Oyster, the owners Dean and his wife gave us a very nice welcome and were helpful with any queries we had.

The cottage was spotless and is very well equipped and is ideal for a holiday at the quieter part of Cornwall with beautiful coves and bays as close as a mile away.

Convenient for the Coast ( Lizard, Mullion , Poldhu , Church etc etc ) and not too far from Land's End.

Great to be able to play pool after dinner while staying at home ………. Also nice to have a garden table available.

Good location for local towns for restaurants and pubs. Great base for walking. Would definitely recommend this and hope to get back there.

This property is great for couples, and in an ideal location to explore the area.

It is beautifully decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean.There are a couple of things I wish I had been aware of before booking. Even though the property is of a good size the bedroom is too small to accommodate a Wardrobe. The water tank does not hold enough hot water for 2 consecutive showers a wait of 20 minutes between each is needed to ensure enough hot water. The property is on a busy road but once inside you are not aware of the traffic. The owner welcomed us on arrival and we quckly settled in and had a lovely holiday.

Perfect cottage for great holiday!

Will be going back ' We had a fantastic break in the Blue Oyster Cottage. It was perfectly equipped for the two of us and a great location just a short walk into Mullion. The log burner was particularly helpful especially when the weather was against us, the cottage was a cosy escape. It was central to many attractions on the lizard, we ventured around the coves and villages and found it was a perfect base for our holiday. The couple who owned the cottage were very welcoming and helpful whilst allowing us to enjoy our holiday. We would definitely look at going back and staying at Blue Oyster again and look forward to doing so

Mullion village, with good local services was just a short walk/drive away, and within very easy reach was a very nice pottery shop, and a chocolate factory - both perfect for gifts etc. This was a superb location and an ideal base for exploring West Cornwall.
