This was our second stay at this property.

The standard of the accommodation was still first class. Welcoming owners who live over the property. Great location for exploring the surrounding area.

Lovely area plenty to see and do.

The owners were very helpful and left a very nice welcome pack. Fantastic cleaner cottage was spotless. Would definitely like to go again.

Nice welcome pack Great base to explore area Not far from coast. Just a couple of things let the accommodation down. Seating (sofa) small two seater. Very uncomfortable. Sank in too far you could feel metal springs. Arm chair is the same and hard to sit on comfortably for long. And the floor from above (owners property) you can hear every foot step.

Well furnished flat with a lovely outlook on to a garden and across the valley.

Convenient location with a Co op/Nisa shop in the street. Very pleasant landlords.

Abserloutely brilliant property,one of the best we've stayed in, lovely location, nice views, and the apartment has everything you need.

Great bus service to get around and not use the car, and the owners Gill and Mike made us feel very welcome, it's our 2cd visit and we will definitely be back.

Extremely well appointed cottage, perfect for two people staying for a week and whilst a bit more urban than we had anticipated, it was very easy to get out of the town and get to the coast or moor.

Everything has been well-considered; well-stocked kitchen, super utility room and wonderful large bedroom with great wardrobe and drawer space.

A wonderful little apartment with everything you need.

The owners are a lovely couple always there to help if needed. If you want to relax then this is the place, we enjoyed every minute of our week there.

Beautiful cottage, everything had been thought of, even a cream tea, which was lovely.

Disappointed that the thermostat was not working, thus no heating.

Also the electric heater in the bathroom was not working. The owner did promise that these would have been sorted while there, but didn't happen. Every footstep on the upper apartment can be heard by creaking floorboards. Cannot fault the thought that has gone into all the accessories in the kitchen and bathroom, lovely quality towels that actually dry you!! Parking is awkward, especially if you want to get to your boot. Lovely cream tea made for arrival.

We had a fantastic holiday, the apartment was definitely the best we have stayed in, great location, there was everything you need in the apartment and a lovely garden, we had a lovely welcome from the owners cream teas and fresh flowers.

We will definitely be making a return visit, and would recommend it to anyone.

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable accommodation. Convenient for towns and attractions in the area. Shop within walking distance. Cream tea and milk in fridge on arrival greatly appreciated. Excellent hosts. Would recommend and return. Driveway could be challenging for larger vehicles.

My husband and I had a really enjoyable week at this apartment it was perfect for us, comfortable accommodation, spotlessly clean, no problems at all and whilst sat in the lounge very open outlook to a lovely garden.

Easy walking distance to local pub that served good food. Did not need to use our car all the time as local bus very prompt and reasonably priced. We managed to go to Torquay, Paignton and Brixham and no parking issues ! Jill and Michael very helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at their property.

Really great accommodation with everything you would need and lots more, Mike and Gill were very good hosts and could not do enough for us including a lovely cream tea on arrival.

I would recommend this cottage to anyone though getting out of the parking space requires a little practice. Overall a great place to stay.

Had a brilliant week.

The property is lovely, set in a very quiet area. Quick access to many places. The owners of the property are on hand as they live in the property above, we had a lovely cream tea waiting for us. We would definitely visit again, don't be afraid to ask if you can't find something as it will be sorted straight away.

We were welcomed with milk in the fridge & a lovely cream tea. Garden view was spotlessly clean & just perfect for a couple wanting to relax. Great location for exploring Devon.

Garden View is a lovely apartment, well equipped, comfortable and with stunning views.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming, there was a Devon cream tea awaiting us on arrival and milk in the fridge which was very thoughtful. It is a great base for exploring the area, including Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmouth, Dartmoor etc. We had plenty to do and see every single day of our holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't recommend a break at Garden View highly enough. 10/10

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Garden View.

Jill and Michael (the owners) are really friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the cream tea, flowers and milk that were there on our arrival. We were lucky weather wise and spent every day revisiting places along the coast that we knew well. The apartment is very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We are sure we will return to Garden View in the future.

Despite the dreadful weather whilst staying at the cottage the welcome was very warm and cosy.

The owner who lives upstairs greeted us on arrival and was extremely helpful. The cottage was immaculate and every care had obviously been taken to make it feel like a home from home. The shared garden was lovely and would have been ideal for having breakfast etc if the weather had been better. It is very quiet and peaceful and well placed for local amenities and places to go. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this cottage.

Huge bedroom with loads of wardrobe space to put belongings. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. A lovely cream tea was waiting for us on arrival as well as fresh flowers and some milk in the fridge. The owners were very nice, helpful and friendly. Great location for getting out and about. Highly recommended.

Exceeded expectations.

We went off season, just as self catering opened after the full lockdown. We were delighted to be able to come to Garden View as we books months before. The many small touches (fresh flowers, cream tea, on arrival etc) meant our expectations were exceeded. We made good use of the short walk booklet they provided giving us doorstep and less local walks for morning and afternoon. In addition to our planned walks. The view from the garden is lovely. And a great suntrap. The kitchen is small but was well appointed and adequate to cook our meals each day. The bedroom is large and main room a nice size. It was pleasant that the kitchen was separate. Add the utility room and you have all you need. The Shower room is great and while the water pressure isn't high it is adequate. Reversing out of the drive could be a challenge for some but I didn't find it a significant problem (I have reversing camera and sensors). We mixed our stay between very local, coastal and dartmoor walks with town visits. Making this a perfect location. Our hosts were great and a lovely couple. The accommodation was pristine and had just been redecorated. I highly recommend staying here and there is so much to do we will happily stay here again.

The parking was an issue.

Reversing about 50 yards to get in or out may cause problems for some.

Lovely accommodation.

Spotlessly clean. Very well equipped. Nice touch with cream scone and flowers in apartment. Nearby to all attractions ie Torquay,Brixham,Teignmouth. Plenty of supermarkets and a small Co-op in the village. Ate at the Hare and Hounds food brilliant drinks rather pricey. Visited the model village in Babbacombe brilliant.

Our only complaint about Garden View was the beds.

They were very uncomfortable, sagging in the middle and hard on the hips when you lay on your side. I had to put some foam on top to get some sleep. They could do with replacing. When you have been out walking all day, you need a comfortable bed to sleep on.

We had a fantastic holiday it was our sixth holiday at Garden View,we going to book again for 2021.

Jill and Michael are first class hosts,there is nothing to much trouble.

Quiet location but well served by several restaurants nearby. Not suitable for people with mobility issues.

The cleanliness of the apartment was way more than I expected very very clean, sanitiser on arrival and in the kitchen, lovely cream tea waiting for us and the flowers were a lovely touch.

hosts were lovely and helpful in telling were to go for walks or a place to eat, I would defiantly recommend this place as was also good location to were we wanted to go.

There's Moor to Sea

Our last visit to Garden View was our sixth time, we are maid very welcome every time we are on first name terms with Gillian & Michael.

Nothing is to much trouble them. from the lovely flowers and the cream tea as a welcome gesture, at one visit I needed a dentist, low and behold Gillian came to my rescue. If we asked for the moon I think they would try to reach it that's how helpful they are.

Garden View provided us with a fantastic week away.

With scones, home made jam & cream in the fridge + owners on hand to help we started a wonderful holiday. Garden View was amazing down to the finest detail & we would recommend it for a comfortable base for exploring this exciting part of Devon or just to relax in a wonderful apartment & interesting beautiful garden.
