Great property for two people in a novel courtyard situation in Appledore.

Well furnished and equipped cottage, and within easy reach of places to eat and drink. Parking was in a nearby carpark for which a weekly ticket could be purchased through the local councils website. The village is very picturesque and is ideal for a break for couples.

The property is quaint with exposed beams in the ceilings and a good amount of interior decoration.

It was very clean and tidy - even the coffee plunger was clean! The Kitchen is small with one sink, and, not having a dishwasher, a dish drying rack would have been good (perhaps it got broken?). We used an oven tray rack as a substitute. Only having 4 sets of cutlery, plates, bowls and mugs does ensure the dishes get done! You do need a decent amount of mobility to stay here as the toilet is upstairs with the bathroom, and the two steps up to the front door are quite high, so any knee or hip niggles may return. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs are good, the King size bed does fit without being too snug. It didn't matter at this time of year as we could have the windows open. We utilised the fact that the front door is a stable door, it was handy The location is not to far up the street from the waterfront, and there is a little bit of up-hill walking to get to the courtyard door. Whilst there are restaurants and Pubs nearby, the is little noise pollution and we slept soundly. Car parking is not an issue after the main school holidays, and we managed to find a spot on the main waterfront roads 4 out of the 5 days we were there, so paid less than £3 for the whole time we were there. We don't normally try properties where we can't park the car nearby, but with a bit of organisation, we managed it and were experts at what we needed when and where by the 3rd day of our stay. If you like to be surrounded by quaint sea village life with artisan food and crafts, this is the place for you.

A wonderful Location so surprising when you walk out of the entrance corridor definitely recommended.

The cottage is great for 2 people and a Dog.

The cottage is lovely in an excellent position in Appledore.

I do think it would be a good idea to say that people with reduced mobility might find the access steps quite difficult

Spotlessly presented (the cleaner deserves a bonus) the cottage is expertly laid out internally and ideally situated in a quiet courtyard with just three other properties managed by the same owner.

John's, the high quality local shop, has all the food you might need for your stay. Highly recommended.
