Little Rondeval

A very nice holiday home.

Well equipped with helpful and friendly owners, who were there to help but not intrusive. I would recommend highly.

A very well equiped Annex with all that you need and more.

Great to have a large freezer, especially as we were there during the june heatwave. Lovely home made cookies, thank you. A good hub for getting about. A short walk downhill into Totnes, plenty of places to eat and drink all dog friendly. A good bus service. The annex was spotless and the hosts friendly and approachable.

Great location, both for exploring lovely Totnes and for the wider area. Beds were comfortable, the water was hot, and the temperature ideal. The home-baked welome cookies were a super tasty treat on arrival, thank you so much!

The owners were welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and warm. The location was ideal for us. We have no hesitation in booking again.

The kitchen has everything you need to self-cater. The only (very minor) suggestion is that it'd be nice if the Velux windows were cleaned. Otherwise a lovely place, with friendly hosts, thank you.

We found the property extremely comfortable, well appointed and an ideal base for exploring the area.

The owners were very welcoming and we had no issue with them living in close proximity. There was no intrusion on our privacy, in fact they were more than helpful, if advise was required, especially with parking in Totnes.

This is a very pleasant, well kept and well equipped property, ideal for a quiet holiday in a beautiful part of the country.

The nearby town centre has lots to offer and other interesting places are not far away. The owners are right next door and are ready to offer good advice when needed.

Well equipped with tea, coffee, milk and cookies! However we found the bed very hard and uncomfortable.

Some guests might feel having the owners front door just a few steps away that they would prefer more seclusion.

Lovely little place, very clean and comfortable.

Great location just enough distance away from town so not to hear the hustle and bustle but a pleasant walk. Had everything you needed in the kitchen, very kindly left us some milk and cookies that was lovely. Only very small down point is the rear courtyard isn’t completely enclosed and we did get a visit from a little dog that popped in to say hello, luckily our dog is very sociable and didn’t mind the company but had to keep the back door closed if we were out of the room.

A really great holiday home with all the facilities you need.

The location is very good for day trips, and Totnes centre is only a short walk away. We had a super holiday.

It was just bad luck that the hot water system that had previously never been a problem had a fault in the middle of our stay.

The owners moved heaven and earth to get it sorted out. Not easy on a bank holiday weekend! They are extremely kind people, very conscientious, and clearly take a pride in making sure their guests have a good stay. We recommend the property without reservation.

We were very happy staying at Rondeval.

It was very clean - I am allergic to dogs but the owner had changed some cushions around so that my allergy wasn’t triggered at all. The beds were very comfortable and we really appreciated being left some essentials such as homemade biscuits, milk and tea bags to have a cup of tea when we arrived. We enjoyed the walk back from town and it was a relaxing place to come back to after training. It was also a secure place to leave our car when we were away and we appreciated the owners being accommodating on the last day. We would be happy to come back again.

The property was exactly as listed with easy instructions to access property.

The owner was friendly checking if everything was ok. The Christmas tree was on which was lovely . The owners left milk and butter for us plus some lovely home made mince pies. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you’d need to cook yourselves. I was so happy as it was private but warm and homely. I would happily stay here whenever I visit Devon as it’s good value and in a very convenient location.

The owners had taken much care to provide the essentials, and I commend the information package. which was well considered and helpful. The property is an annexe to the main house: the owners were very friendly and helpful with queries. A good location: walkable into the town, and quiet, even though it is close to a main road. We had an excellent holiday. Highly recommended.

Just spent a fabulous week at little rondeval.

Beautiful annex to owners own home. Made to feel very welcomed by Katherine and Peter. The gorgeous homemade chocolate cookies made the long journey worthwhile. Totnes a lovely town with quirky shops and very dog friendly. Great base to visit the many nearby attractions and lovely countryside of Devon.

The accomodation is lovely; very well designed, comfortable and clean. There is on site parking for one car and road side parking just outside the accomodation for a 2nd car. The owners Katherine and Peter live in the house, attached to the property. They were very friendly and helpful and, readily shared their knowledge of local areas to visit. Totnes is an ideal base for exploring Devon's amazing countryside and beaches. We had wonderful days out and cosy evenings in, what more could we need, it was perfect.

The cottage was well provided with everything we needed, was immaculate and was very modern. Katherine and Peter were superb and very thoughtful hosts. The few minor problems we had were dealt with immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. You will enjoy your stay. .

The owners have created a comfortable, well equipped and welcoming home from home.Katherine and Peter are extremely friendly and helpful. It is on a frequent bus route to both Plymouth and Torbay, and is an easy walk to the centre of Totnes. We really enjoyed our time in the property and would certainly return.

Katherine and Peter were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Nice touches e.g. dog bed and dog towels provided along with some welcome provisions (milk,butter, cookies). We would like to definitely stay again.

My wife and I paid a very brief visit to the area on a family matter, so not really a holiday, what a superb property, so comfortable, clean and well appointed.

We met the owners (the rental property is attached to their home) they were very friendly and welcoming. As far as my wife and I could ascertain the description of the property on Sykes' website was spot on. The whole property is so well fitted out to a high, modern standard, stunningly clean and well decorated, we have stayed in very few better appointed holiday lets during the last 50-years, we thoroughly recommend it. There are just a couple of minor points that we felt were worth considering, they most certainly are not criticisms, but may help future visitors. Firstly, Rondeval is on quite a long road and all properties have names not house numbers, Sykes' documentation simply states that the Postcode will lead to the property, it did, but we had to look carefully at each house name as we drove along the road, so it may help if more detailed instructions are given to help find the house, especially after dark. Secondly, my wife and I are not in the first flush of youth and I have mobility problems so we were concerned about the shower, we felt that a non-slip mat in the shower could be advantageous, it would alleviate the worry of slipping for the more infirm guests. Superb, we wish that we could have extended our stay.

A short walk from the centre of Totnes and a short drive to the sea. The hosts are lovely, very welcoming and they couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Recommended from every point of view.
