There's a lot of hype about places to go and stay, but if you want to get away from everything then this is the place for you.

It really is a tranquil and quiet place to stay, our westie Rodney got on really well with Archie, as I think every dog does. The best recommendation that I can say is that we booked for next year before we left.

had a wonderful, very happy and relaxing week's stay in Erin Cottage in June. We really enjoyed and appreciated the comfort of the cottage, the cosy bedrooms, the well kitted-out kitchen and the spacious living area with ample wifi and TV streaming devices. And the view of the outside gardens, so pretty with the bonus of a self-contained and private barbeque area down some stairs on the right, The owner Siobhan was extremely welcoming when we arrived, and very helpful when we had a minor problem to resolve. And to top it all there were so many fabulous beaches right on our doorstep: including Looe, Fowey and Polperro. It was a holiday we'll always remember. We definitely will be back.

We only had a short break in Elgin Cottage but it was lovely and clean - cosy and peaceful in lovely garden surrounds.

Erin Cottage is a splendid holiday retreat, the cottage is one of the best we have ever rented.

The gardens are beautiful and everything was exactly as listed. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts who were always on hand for assistance. Looking forward to our next visit.

A lovely little place to stay.

I loved the beds they are so comfortable, which is very important to me as I suffer with a lot of nerve damage and arthritis. Everything was as advertised, a very comfortable place, with all home comforts. I would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Lovely farm cottage set in beautiful gardens and only a short drive into Looe.

Very well equipped and comfortable for our week stay with our dog. Siobhan the owner was very welcoming and helpful and on hand for any assistance needed. Great location and only a short drive to many lovely places along the Cornish coast.

Everything that you could possibly want was in the holiday cottage . Location was beautiful and in a great area to go off exploring . We will be back as my dogs loved it as much as we did . Couldn’t have asked for better well done to the owners for doing it so well .

The cottage was so central from Looe and Polperro. We loved the location, the bed was the comfiest we'd slept in, the owners were lovely, a welcome gift of a Cornish cream tea and milk, would definitely like to come back again one day. Fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast. Thank you from all of us! Lovely visits out to Looe, Polperro, Polruan, Fowey, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Newquay and Plymouth by train from Looe Station

We had a really lovely holiday staying at Erin Cottage.

It was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Siobhan, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to other holidaymakers. It is located within easy reach of Looe and Polperro and there is a shop and a pub a fe minutes walk away. Thank you very much for a great holiday!

There became a morning ritual of watching the local Barn Owls on the TV and counting the chicks.

This is a lovely little cottage, perfect location.

Sadly we had to come home a day early, due to an operation cancellation. This was a little frustrating because we were having the most perfect time. Siobian was so so lovely as were our neighbours, The grounds were so lovely for our dogs who also had the best time. Everything was just a stones throw away. The chickens were also very polite, they popped over for a chat one evening. The owners are big animal lovers and were so accommodating. The only down fall was the allocated parking spot as I had to pick up my puppy from the grass area to pop her in the car,(she doesn't like travelling!) and due to the parking position I had to step on the mini slate wall to get to the car which wasn't cemented or stable and I fell with her in my arms hurting my knee quite badly,(so dont repeat my mistake) apart from that they couldn't do anything more to make this little bolt hole perfect.

We were greeted by Siobahn the owner, who was very helpful and friendly.

The cottage was very homely with everything you could need. The location was a great base to reach out into Cornwall and Devon. The chickens roaming around the yard were great to see and the video footage of the Barn owls nest was a treat. We will be back . Thanks

Erin Cottage is part of a beautifully restored barn.

The decor and furnishings are very tasteful and the cottage is well equipped. The beds are extremely comfortable with food quality bedding. Siobhan and Archie (the dog) are very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are visiting our friends in the area.

I would put more but unfortunately on my second day there I was rushed into hospital where I spent the week, the owner bent over backwards to help my partner who despite everything enjoyed her stay in the cottage, yes we will be going back hopefully for a more relaxing time.

The Erin cottage was fabulous, like a home from home.

Comfy clean everything that we needed for our week there. The family who own it was very very friendly, when we arrived they was there to welcome us, and tell us of things to do around Looe and where to eat. Would recommended to anyone who wants a lovely peaceful and restful holiday.

The owners were welcoming and everything was beautifully tidy and clean.Although we did feel the double bedroom was slightly cramped We would stay there again.

Owners were really helpful and nothing to much trouble. Erin Cottage is delightful, but has everything you need. Grounds are kept beautifully maintained . Local shops are a couple of minutes in the car or a short walk and well stocked. Asda delivery is available here, we arranged for the morning after our arrival to save troubling the owners, no substitute which was great. We took our dog and I have to say he was welcome everywhere which was a welcomed suprise. Great places to eat, local fish and chips - Kelly's was great. For something special Talland bay hotel was amazing, fabulous views and free chicken for the dog was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend Cardwen Holiday Cottages, cottages to suit different holiday groups or needs or the fab farmhouse..all decorated beautifully, no dark and dinghy here.

We arrived quite late at the cottage and Siobhan welcomed us with scones, jam and cream which went down well after a long journey.

Beautiful surroundings and cottage very comfy. A great base for visiting all the beautiful beaches and towns of Looe, Polperro, Seaton/Downderry, Polruan, Fowey and Mevagissey. That's just a few places.

Our host was superb, providing great local information and recommendations.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The decor is lovely, everything we needed facilities wise, set in beautiful gardens. Plus a great location for visiting places around Cornwall. Would highly recommend and hope to come back.

We loved our stay at Erin Cottage.

The pictures don’t do the cottage justice which is finished to a really nice standard. Very clean and felt safe with the COVID procedures. Excellent location for Looe as well as Polperro and Liskeard, and further on to Fowey and St Austell. Siobhan was a lovely host and very helpful. Our children loved the gardens/grounds and in particular the chickens :)
