Coach Cottage

We had a lovely stay in Coach Cottage.

The only issue was that the fridge was very small and we couldn't fit all our shopping in it. We also dropped an item behind the dressing table in the bedroom and when we went to get it we notived that there were a lot of cobwebs and dust at the back. It didn't look like it had been dusted for a long time. We would still be very happy to stay again though.

it was pleasant stay in a well kept property and all the furnishings and fixtures we of high quality.

Ideal location in a nice quiet village, excellent place to unwind. The shops and all amenities in the village were quite good and we hope to return at some point in the near future.

We really enjoyed our stay in the very comfortable cosy cottage with very Good facilities.

Beautiful linen and towels, comfy bed and Good shower. Perfect for October but would find the outdoor sitting area not suitable for a summer visit.

The cottage was lovely.

Warm and comfortable. Plenty of beautiful areas to visit. My only comment would be that the outside seating area described is in fact just a table and chairs outside the front door.

Wonderful property with everything you would need apart from a slightly larger fridge.

Bed very comfortable and a great shower. The Kingfisher pub is within crawling distance and local shops very handy.

A clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage, central but quiet, with off road parking which is a real bonus in the narrow streets of Colyton.

Local pubs seconds to minutes to walk to. Axmouth and Seaton about 15 minutes by car, so a nice location.

We enjoyed our stay at Coach Cottage with the ease of a personal parking space.

It's well equipped and it's quiet there at night to wake up refreshed for days out. Colyton is a sweet village. There's much to see in town eg. the church, a visit to the heritage centre is a must and a walk through the narrow streets & area is all worthwhile. There's a few little cafes, two pubs to refresh your taste buds

Very comfortable cottage in a great location for local walks and pub.

It had all the equipment we needed for a week's stay with a very comfy bed and great shower. We were very lucky with the warm weather (in April!!) and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. If we had not been so lucky, the downstairs areas could have possibly been a little damp.

What a lovely cosy, clean and well equipped little cottage this was.

It had everything we needed for a great relaxing stay. We especially loved the amazing shower and the huge comfy bed... The village of Colyton is a lovely friendly place with a great local pub/restaurant, the Kingfisher, nearby and an amazing fish and chips shop amongst other facilities. There is lots to do in the surrounding area and some great walks...will definitely return here again as we have so much more to do and see....

We absolutely loved the property, neighbours were very helpful and friendly .

No advice or facility for composting either. We took rexycling back home. Many others in the guest book comment on this issue too. Thanks for the bedroom door hook.

No issues-accommodation excellent.

WiFi good and strong. Smart tv had Netflix and Prime available which was much appreciated. So too was the heated towel rail, as we chose a particularly cold and wet week to visit. Thank you for the milk, tea, coffee etc to get our holiday off to a good start. Very happy.

A great home for us for the week we stayed.

Immediately welcoming on arrival, very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The owners had clearly given thought to what they would need if they were staying (not always the case). Nice neighbours too. Exceptionally well and centrally located for easy access to all the places around us that we wanted to visit. Also, really close to a local shop and excellent pub/restaurant (Kingfisher) and not very far from several other great restaurants in nearby towns and villages.

The overall experience was positive however we have issues with the heating system and bed comfort.

There is a thermostat in the hallway which we thought was ours to turn up or down, we only required heating in the bathroom and hallway to dry out wet towels or clothes. The thermostat was not responding and this reported to the owners but it seemed to be on a timer. Our bed consisted of 2 single beds pushed together unfortunately not comfortable beds

Loved the cottage & the village. Hosts really helpful enabling use of washing machine next door as ours broken.

All went smoothly, the accommodation fully provided, neat and comfortable.

Ideal location for touring East Devon

A very well refurbished and furnished little bolt-hole.

..it was just what we were seeking for a few days R&R....clearly alsowell suited for exploring further up the coast and so we may well be back!

Beautifully restored with delightful and comfortable accommodation. Welcoming flowerbed beside the entrance door. Excellent parking. A very impressed visitor!

Quality refurbishment with solid character doors and a fabulous shower.

Very clean. Only improvement I can think of would be a hook on the back of the bedroom door.

Can't fault it, had a great stay, very nice cottage, just need to update pictures on your site.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated.

the car parking space was good and off road out of sight. Not really dog friendly as there was no enclosed space to allow a dog to roam in safety Outside seating was adjacent to the area designated for car parking and not suitable to relax in.

The cottage had everything needed for a wonderful holiday.

Fabulous shower, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and a very cosy lounge area. Bonus to have on-site parking.

Nicely situated and comfortable.

Plenty to see within a short distance. Local buses go through the village. Colyton itself has good walks and pubs.

Everything you need is provided very clean and comfortable Lovely idyllic village with some good walks Handy for loads of touristy towns and villages I only marked comfort down 1 point as the bed was far too hard for me but obviously a hard bed suits some people

Owner was good to call about Wi-Fi on our first day.

It needed restarting but I can imagine some guests would have been frustrated by it. I had no telephone signal throughout the week, on EE. Fortunately it worked ok on the virgin network. Otherwise, we had everything we needed. Parking was easy. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great. Nice and airy living space. Dishwasher and tables were provided. There was also a washing machine. Easy access the the beaches by car. People were friendly. Nice stay.

Beautiful cottage.

Perfect for the two of us and a perfect cottage in this recent heatwave - bedroom downstairs was so lovely and cool. - it got a bit warm upstairs but you’d expect that in this unprecedented weather and it just meant we preferred to go out to eat at the Kingfisher Pub which was lovely, welcoming, good food and only a few steps away!! Only thing I’d suggest in the property is a pair of oven gloves and maybe more than 5 hangers - (we needed a few more for the two of us) Overall a lovely holiday in a lovely village - and the tram was the icing on the cake

Can’t remember the last time I needed to take a hair dryer!

Fortunately Tesco was close by and I bought one. Cottage clean although crockery not checked as I found mashed potato on the masher (photo was taken) We were asked to clean cottage and leave as found but cleaning appliances not up to scratch considering pet allowance. Improvements needed

The bathroom has mould on the tiles, and it looks like something is growing on the plastic of the shower screen.

For security reasons we did not leave windows open when we went out. The walls must be very thin - as we could hear our neighbours - their TV, microwave and the thing that use to make me jump is when they turned on the water tap when we were in bed, it was quite loud. I assume they could hear us as well. And being really picky - the bedroom drawers need to be waxed so they can run smoothly and be less noisy, especially if you needed to open a drawer in the night. The cottage had a lovely feel, it had everything we wanted, it was in a great location and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place to stay in a beautiful village.

Lovely little upside down cottage, great for two people and ideally placed for lots of attractions.

The only downside was no garden should you want one but we knew this before booking. Bed extremely comfy and the fluffiest towels I’ve ever had on holiday. Colyton itself a lovely little town with plenty of history.

A pleasant little cottage located off the centre of a very quiet and beautiful little town.

Easy walks from the door and ideally located for visits to many places of interest. An ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Such a lovely cosy , clean cottage with all the amenities you need , and such a lovely friendly town .

Colyton is a great place to stay in East Devon.

Near to so many beautiful places. Great local amenities, even has a Garden Centre! A very quiet and peaceful location and the cottage is well situated in the village.

Beautiful cottage & village. Central for many locations to enjoy days out.

Absoloutely no garden area where my dog could be safely let off the lead.

The outdoor space advertised is misleading with a table and 2 chairs plonked outside the front door. Food was left in the cupboards and found a San Miguel bottle caps left on the side. All in all the cottage is cosy with the odd cobweb, its a nice little village and the neighbours were friendly.

Comfy cottage in great location

Instructions for the cooker had to result to the Internet to find out how the oven worked.

Enjoyed the village so interesting to go on the guided tour also the Tram. The butchers was brilliant so friendly people. Lots of nice beaches and gardens to visit. Such a relaxing holiday with just a few minutes walk to shops and local pub with a lovely garden to eat in the evening. Many thanks.

Fabulous place

The one drawback to this cottage is the lack of outside areas for relaxation.

Chairs and a little table are provided but only the car park and at the moment a builders yard are of sufficient size to accomodate them .There is nowhere even when the builders are finished to have outside seatings. I really do not want to look at a car park while relaxing.

Colyton is a lovely village, The Kingfisher Pub is great, and just a short walk away.

Coach Cottage was clean, warm and very well equipped. We came home feeling refreshed.

I was disappointed that there was no garden area where my dog could safely be let off the lead.

We went for toilet walks. The information provided by the cottage owners had no information about recycling rubbish and when refuse collections happen. Also there was no information about how the oven worked and the storage heaters needed studying to get them up and running. However the cottage was cosy and warm,everything worked and there was always plenty of hot water. We enjoyed exploring the village and the neighbours were friendly and helpful.

The adjoining walls to the cottage next door must be exceptionally thin because we could hear every conversation, sneeze, snoring, etc.

Also, the outdoor space advertised is misleading. A table and 2 chairs plonked in a car park which resembled a builders yard does not constitute outdoor space.
