Second time of staying at Enfield.

It’s a lovely cosy cottage, we had a great stay . All you need in the property is there, we can’t recommend it enough thank you.

The accommodation was excellent in every way and was ideally situated for exploring the beautiful coastline and magnificent Exmoor as well as being easily accessible to Porlock itself.

The house had everything you would want and need to make your stay comfortable with a lovely back garden offering fantastic views of the countryside. The owners were helpful and informative when needed and made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location.

Close to the amenities in Porlock but also well placed for the SW coastal path and walks on Exmoor. A real home from home, one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

We found Enfield to be very well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing break.

The Cottage is situated within an easy walk to the village which has all you could need. Enfield has a lovely garden and a stream running through the front garden.

Lovely house very comfortable, we had 3 couples staying and there was lots of room, big kitchen which helped with cooking and lots of equipment to cook with.

Excellent location right in the centre of Porlock and parking in the street was a bonus. The only thing I would mention is the dishwasher door does not close, we put the bins in front to secure it, which worked. Also not sure the fan in the attic room en-suite is working? we certainly never heard it come on. Apart from that brilliant cottage would definitely stay again. Thank you

The property was perfectly situated in a quiet residential area.

It is a few minutes walk to the local amenities and was ideal for us with a wide range of walks available locally. Ideal for walkers and for visiting the more general local area.

Enfield is a wonderful place to stay for discovering the delights of Porlock.

It's exactly as described, literally 2 minutes from the main high street and a convenience store ( open till 10pm everyday), 4 pubs to choose from, a handful of cafes and selection of shops. The whole house is beautifully decorated, very comfy seating, dining area spacious, bedrooms very comfortable, all 3 have their own bathrooms. The kitchen is well thought out and perfectly stocked with appliances, equipment and cooking. essentials . It was a warm and cosy home from home, lovely outdoor area too, which we couldn't benefit from due to inclement weather sadly! Plenty of places to visit too, don't miss Dunster, it's beautiful, Lynmouth was lovely too, and Minehead. Taunton was a nice place, but felt a bit underwhelming. We also liked Watchet. Enfield was a great place to stay, however as the owners are changing the alloted change over day to a Friday....sadly, we won't be able to make a return visit as we work on a Saturday, (a lot of holiday-let owners seem to be forgetting the public-sector working people these days) Friday change overs really only cater for office/home workers. Otherwise it would definitely be on the "returns" list.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was very homely and comfortable, having everything we needed.

Parking wasn't a problem, we were able to park outside the cottage. The location is perfect being close enough to the the local shops but also very peaceful. Thank you, we would definitely recommend it

A very welcoming, sociable and comfortable house close to Porlock High Street.

The property has been decorated to high standards and is well equipped with everything guests may need. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Has outside space, decking area and nice gardens. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing week at a lovely house.

It was super clean and had everything we needed. Parking was no problem at all - we were able to park 2 cars right outside the front. This place offers great value for money, and I would definitely return and recommend it to others. The area is absolutely beautiful! There's a fantastic park just around the corner which my kids absolutely adored. It's just a 15-minute drive to Minehead for that classic seaside vibe. The Porlock weir is also very pretty - only a 10-minute drive, or more like a 30-minute walk downhill. We also loved the open-roof bus, but I would recommend driving to Blue Anchor Caravan Park because that's where the bus starts. It tends to get full once it arrives in Porlock. The only downside is that the stairs to the top bedroom are quite steep, so it may not be very suitable for younger children or elderly people.

Lovely stay at the house for our family’s annual visit to the area.

House was perfect for what we needed. Only issue we found was the steepness of the stairs up to the third bedroom.

bin collection information is confusing, not used to having to put bins out at a holiday cottage and information in the pack and information on the council website is both conflicting and confusing with regard to recycling and waste collection days

Very enjoyable week at Enfield.

Such a lovely quiet place to stay. Very clean cottage and had all we needed. Loved the proximity to the village and that there were so many walks on our doorstep. No problem with parking.

Enfield is a lovely comfortable home from home.

Everything we needed was there for our convenience. The house was very clean and tidy, the beds were very comfortable - the garden terrace was lovely to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening - the little brook in the front was charming. We loved Porlock and Porlock Weir and Exmoor is just magical. In all a lovely relaxing holiday Jessica and Jonathan

Enfield is a lovely property situated in quiet area.

The house was extremely well furnished with plenty of the everyday appliances one would need at hand.The information provided at the property was very helpful. The nearby facilities were within walking distance for those basic essentials. 'Piggy in the middle' provided us with a very good meal and the local bars were very good. There are plenty of enjoyable walks roundabout the area. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to the area again in the near future and if available,staying at Enfield. Thank you to the owners and in particular to the cleaner for providing us with an exceptionally well presented house for us to stay.

The property is spacious, comfortable and was spotlessly clean.

Good facilities. It also has a nice decking area in the garden out the back. The owner was very quick to respond to a small issue we had. Some great places nearby for walking. Good place to stay!

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Parking in the road outside is a little challenging. A short walk to the village centre.

What a lovely well maintained property was very well furnished and stocked very cosy and comfortable would definitely holiday there again.

The owner Debbie is a very nice lady and nothing is to much trouble we had a lovely stay and the cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the coast. The Exmoor Coaster is an lovely open top bus that goes just round the corner from the cottage goes right upto Ilfracombe through Coombe Martin and Lynmouth the views in Exmoor were breathtaking and we would recommend you try this as well.

This was a lovely property; well-maintained, well-equipped, clean and comfortable.

There was plenty of room for the five of us to comfortably relax in the living room and eat around the dining table. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed, even cooking oil and spices, which is really helpful when on a self- catering holiday. The decor was modern and fresh and it was clearly a much loved home. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious and impeccably clean. The location was fantastic, a brief walk to the Main Street and lots of lovely country and seaside walks on the doorstep. It provided a great base from which to explore the local area. The owner was friendly when communicating and the process of booking through Sykes was very easy. We would recommend the property to anyone and are looking to return.

The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your comfortable house.

Thank you for the milk etc and particularly for providing the Christmas tree and decorations. Very thoughtful. This part of the country is beautiful, with some lovely walks. The house is in a perfect position for both the walks and the shops, pubs and cafes in Porlock.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Enfield is decorated to a high standard and has a very homely feel. The mornings & evenings are blissful sitting out in the garden and the walks around Porlock are very pretty. Everything spot on for a family of 5. The only thing I would ask to be more clear is process around the bins, we were a little unsure. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.

We had the most wonderful week at Enfield.

The perfect base for exploring Exmoor. The property is well equipped & warm & cosy. A lovely place to unwind after a day exploring with extremely comfortable beds. Set in a quiet country lane with a short stroll to the shops.

Spacious will accommodated and yet cosy for six adults.

This is just the most perfect holiday & relaxation property.

It is beautifully presented and cleaned to a high standard. It has all that you need for a long or short stay. The property is very centrally located but is on a quiet street just 5 minutes walk from the High Street that has cafes, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. It is also within a short distance of several lovely footpaths. There is a lovely garden with this property too. Sykes says that there is no Wi-Fi but in fact there was and it worked perfectly! We got parking outside the property.

The house was so comfortable and and the decorating and furnishings were excellent.

Great location Porlock 5 mins walk away with good pubs and restaurants. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Yes, 4 adults stayed at the cottage.

There was a lot of space and the house was decorated to a very high standard. We all commented that it was like being at home. The owners we would guess use the house frequently. As stated it was home from home, not items being bought for a rented house which most people would never buy. Well done owners for providing first rate accommodation ( a lot of thought had gone into the design and furniture ) at a reasonable price. These were the considered views of all 4 adults. Amazing cottage in an amazing location

An excellently and tastefully furnished property, owners have provided everything you could need ,its cosy, comfortable and is in a beutifull part of the world ,it would get full marks if only it had a dedicated parking space, the house is on a narrow lane with parking outside 0ne side of the lane only and we could only park on the whole lane once in the week we stayed.

To be fair to the owners they did mention they could not guarantee your parking and we found a place every day not to far away so to us it wasn't a big issue on the whole an excellent stay and deal

A lovely cottage with everything you need in a great location, near to the local shops and places to eat.

There are lots of nice walks from the cottage and a short drive to explore more of the coast and Exmoor. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, We had a wonderful stay, thank you!

Absolutely love this beautiful cottage.

We returned to this same gorgeous place after staying Christmas 2018 and will return again. It is in the perfect location, facilities are brilliant and the cottage is so comfy and homely. The bedding and towels smell so fresh and the bedding and bed are the comfiest. Highly recommend x

We liked the house very much and Porlock is a nice, friendly village in which to stay within easy reach by car of several nice beaches.

A good place to take children, particularly if they enjoy fossil hunting! In fact, all three generations of our family enjoyed themselves. Somerset is lovely and we fully intend to revisit sometime, hopefully soon.

It’s more like a home than a holiday home. Perfect location too in the beautiful Porlock. Would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a perfect stay in Porlock.

There were 4 adults and we all enjoyed staying at the cottage.

It was roomy and the kitchen was like a second lounge. There was a good selection of DVD'd which we didn't use on this occasion and the instructions for the use of facilities were spot on. We initially had a problem with the wifi but the owners were very helpful in sorting this out -the rest of the week it worked perfectly. Yes we would highly recommend this cottage it is a very high standard at a reasonable price.

The cottage was very nice and clean only about ten minutes from the shops .

lots of activities to see and do only draw back is that you have to drive out and about to see them .The person who said that the beach is about 10 minutes away was not telling you the truth more like 35 minutes away down a very long path to not a beach but lots of pebbles no sand .we went in all the pubs 3 in all and the people were very nice and chatty the food was all home made .The road the cottage is on is very tight and winding road with first come and first served parking ,but there is parking at the top of the road .

Great cottage, very comfortable and spacious and the garden gets the sun most of the day and has a good range of patio furniture

We found parking to be easier than expected.

Just took turns with other residents as spaces became available. Only drawback for one of our party was the lack of a toilet on the ground floor, but house very adequately provided with bathrooms and toilets. Very central for various facilities, including shops, pubs for meals and local places of interest.

Our 22nd walking holiday with friends staying in cottages all over Britain, Enfield was certainly in the top three.

The location, comfort, extremely well equipped, quirky cottage ticked all the boxes for our annual break.

We had an issue with rubbish.

Both bins were full on arrival and we could not find anywhere local to dispose of our rubbish.

The cottage was very warm even though we didn't use any heating.

It felt spacious and yet was homely. Very tastefully decorated.
