Aunty Junes Cottage

We had a wonderful few days in Aunty June's cottage.

The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Charlie and Debbie were excellent hosts and the 'goodies' left for us were much appreciated.

We had a lovely stay at this recently renovated cottage.

It has been finished to a very high standard and was a welcome retreat during the heatwave, staying wonderfully cool throughout our visit. The owners are a lovely family who were friendly, welcoming and always happy to offer help or local recommendations. The cottage is also very dog friendly, which we really appreciated. There were just a couple of small things that could make future stays even better. The cutlery, particularly the knives, could do with being replaced as they weren't very effective. We were also surprised that there wasn't a vacuum cleaner, basic cleaning materials or a shower squeegee available, as these are useful for keeping the cottage tidy during a stay. One thing worth noting for anyone with a reactive dog is that the owners have their own dog(who is lovely!) and cat, and their garden sits directly alongside the cottage's small garden. The outdoor space isn't completely private because of the neighbouring garden, so it's something to bear in mind if your dog is sensitive to nearby people or animals. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay in a beautifully renovated cottage with welcoming hosts, and we'd happily recommend it.

Just the place I wished for .

Clear photos and description of the lovely cottage in just the location I needed. Absolutely beautiful. Birds ,fields , so peaceful,walks and near Dartmoor.All you needed is close by if you love the area as I do. Such great hosts Titch and Debbie and the gorgeous dog Nelly . Welcome pack was a suprise and the cottage is perfect with a great deal of thought gone into it ,everything a couple of family would appreciate,Well done Debbie Titch and everyone .Thankyou for the fantastic stay ,Booked for next year ,looking forward to it .

Such a lovely cottage, spotless with great facilities and lovely outdoor spaces.

In a great location for exploring Dartmoor and the local towns, Chagford is close and perfect for eating out.

Excellent accomodation, beautifully kept with great facilities.

Free WiFi, books and games thoughtfully provided. The welcome pack provided was a thoughtful gesture and helpful, caring hosts on-site will certainly encourage repeat visits of this property. Countryside location with views over Dartmoor, towns/villages in easy reach. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

A lovely homely cottage which is very well cared for and clean.

The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. The cottage has a lovely view across the moors and is well situated for walks, but is also very easily accessible from the A30. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Calm location, still conveniently close to the motorway.

Aunty June’s was the perfect stay whilst home renovations were carried out.

It’s a home from home with all the essentials. The bed was comfortable, the duvet luxurious and the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. Would recommend to anyone!

Our stay at Aunty June's cottage could not have been better.

The hosts Debbie and Charlie were so welcoming , friendly and full of helpful advice. The cottage itself was one of the best we have stayed at. Everything was spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, good Wifi and TV, all the kitchen equipment you could ask for , easy parking , nice garden , easy reach of the A30 ....and some GREAT pubs and National Trust properties . Oh , and our doggie loved it too ! Many thanks .
