Ixworth Cottage
Description
Ixworth Cottage is a delightful, pet-friendly barn conversion set on a small holding just outside Ottery St Mary.
The setting is ideal for those who wish to access the coast as well as explore all that Devon and Dorset have to offer.
The smallholding is home to a wide range of animals, and, depending on the season you may encounter Pygmy goats, sheep, pigs, and chickens.
Arrive and step into your home away from home, where you will find a spacious open-plan living space awaits you and your loved ones.
Cook up a feast for breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, which can be enjoyed around the dining table for four.
After a day of adventures, you can look forward to sinking into the generous seating.
Here, you can cuddle up with the family for a movie night on the Smart TV.
Outside, an enclosed rear garden provides a private spot to rest after a busy day's adventures and the wild meadow to the rear provides a lovely backdrop in the summer months.
The owner has a small shop on site selling jams, preserves, cured meats, and honey from their own bees, and a larger farm shop is within easy reach.
Ixworth Cottage is an ideal base for friends, families, along with your furry friends, with both bedrooms able to be set up as two super-king-size beds.
Enjoy a rural retreat at Ixworth Cottage.

What guests are saying
Comfortable house; good facilities; and lots of hot water.
Although within reasonable walking distance of local garden centre, farm shop and Ottery St Mary, the roads are quite narrow with no footpath.
Brilliant location, a remote feel but easy reach to the main road.
Clean and tidy with everything you need (we couldn't find the visitors book though) and the convenience of 3 Farm shops (including their own) and a garden centre within less than a mile. The homemade jam and fresh eggs were a nice welcome gift. The only thing i would say is that if you do bring a dog (we didn't) is that the garden isn't fully fenced between you and the neighbouring property. The 2 very friendly goats who were always pleased to see me was an added bonus too. A great cottage, we'll definitely stay here again.
We were looking for a place to stay that was near to lots of places to visit.
And for us, this turned out to be the perfect place in the Perfect spot. Very easy to find. Accommodation was brilliant. Very attractive to look at. Had a cosy lounge area & adequate kitchen space. Bedrooms were spacious & comfortable. Bathroom is a decent size. Has a garden seating area with barbecue. On site farm shop sells delicious jams & honey, that are produced by the hosts on site. Also sells locally produced bacon, burgers, sausages, etc. And local apple juice. Hosts were friendly & welcoming. Highly recommend, & would definitely stay there again.
