Absolutely lovely place to stay.

If you like peace an quiet this is for you. Beautiful views and lovely space for your pets to enjoy. The owners are friendly and helpful, but not in your face. The only criticism I have is that the pillows for sleeping were much too hard and I did not enjoy a good nights sleep, which is what you want when you have been out all day exploring. Otherwise they thought of everything you could possibly want.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway.

The house was stunning and every detail had been carefully thought about. It is in the most beautiful and peaceful location where all you can hear is the birds. Located close by to all the wonderful North Devon beaches. A lovely garden for our dog and two children to explore and pick plums. Christine and Les were very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely come back again it’s magical. Thank you.

Lovely welcome and great place to stay.

My dad hasn’t slept through the night in 5 years until he stayed here. Completely recharged and will definitely recommend and stay again.

Hideaway was a lovely place to stay - clean, bright and equipped with everything we needed.

It was the perfect place to explore the area and we had some great days out. We enjoyed our week there.

The property was very clean and comfortable and the beautiful gardens were lovely for us and our 2 dogs to use. The area of the hose is very quiet and rural but we visited some lovely places around half - 1hr drive away including westward ho' Appledore, Instow ,saunton sands and sandymouth! Many thanks to Chris and les for a great stay.

Beautiful cottage and gardens in a quiet location.

Although initially feels quite remote you are in fact only 3 or 4 miles from any shops or eating places. Ideally placed for visiting beaches and other sites around North Devon. Perfect for a quiet relaxing break.

We had a great week stay here despite the weather, the cottage is fully equipped with everything you need.

Beautiful views of the countryside from all aspects, Christine and Les have created the most wonderful property providing everything you could possibly need on a self catering holiday. They were on hand to help if needed, but leave you to it. I am yet to stop in such a clean well equipped holiday home.

We loved our stay at Hideaway- it is such a peaceful place.

From the moment we arrived we could relax, as everything is so clean and the welcome from the owners is so warm and friendly. The highlight was sitting in the garden listening to the birdsong and looking at the beautiful oak trees. Thank you! We are already looking forward to next time!

Les and Christine have created a fantastic holiday home, very modern, very clean, comfortable and everything you need for a self-catering holiday, a great find and a true gem. I was very grateful to Les, who helped me setup the EV charger for our PHEV. Very welcoming hosts, around to help while letting you get on with your holiday. We will definitely be booking again.

As a previous FHL operator we try to leave the proprty cleaner than when we arrived, but it was so clean this was impossible.

I absolutely loved the Hideaway.

The garden was a great size for our dog and children to run around in and had such a magical feel. We loved the open lay out of the house. It was warm, clean, well equipped with everything we could possibly need and so welcoming with a Christmas present under tte tree, fresh cakes and milk in the fridge. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return there.

A lovely few days.

The cottage is as described, very clean and comfy and particularly spacious downstairs with wonderful views. We appreciated the utility room for our dogs. And the peace, all we heard was birdsong.

The house is very well and comfortably equipped, and is located in a classic Devon rural location.

It is in a very peaceful, relaxing location with background music provided by the local owls. The owners Christine and Les are very helpful.

Very quiet and some beautiful walks nearby and lovely garden. Other places easy to get to. Would highly recommend, very clean and spacious cottage, plus the added extras. Thank you Les & Chris for making us welcome. Hoping to return.

Comfortable, attractive house in a perfect country setting It is exactly as seen in the photographs.

There is everything needed for a self catering holiday and all the furnishings and equipment are as new. I would recommend it for a stay in North Devon.

Lots to love: great location, well appointed, feels brand new. It's extremely peaceful, but easy to reach all the places we love in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Hideaway is extremely spacious and very well fitted out.

The owners have thought carefully about the needs of holidaymakers with a dog. The property was beautifully clean and welcoming. The location is very quiet and peaceful and close to nature with great walks on the doostep.

We could not fault the cleanliness throughout. The bed was very comfortable with hotel quality bedding and pillows and the whole house is furnished to a high standard. There is a large , beautiful garden to relax in. Les and Christine were very welcoming and helpful . They have an extensive knowledge of the area and were able to suggest some great places to visit. Thank you for a lovely stay we will visit again.

Lovely house and peaceful location.

Spacious kitchen/dining/ lounge area - great for relaxing in after a long day out walking or viewing the spectacular local gardens. Owners very friendly and helpful.

A beautifully presented cottage in a stunning, secluded location.

The Hideaway is just a short distance from the market town of Great Torrington, coastal towns and walks and the fabulous garden at RHS Rosemoor. Chris and Les are perfect hosts, friendly and helpful, full of local recommendations. To sum the cottage up in three words: immaculate, stylish and tranquil. We will definitely book again, so much more to be enjoyed.

We were the first guests!

Everything was new, shiny and as described/photos. Beautiful quiet spot overlooking a forest, stream and a field of sheep. The EV charger for daytime solar trickle charge and overnight cheap rate charging was brilliant and saved us time and money charging on the road! Kitchen well equipped, and essential cleaning and bathroom supplies all provided. Great Torrington a few miles away has all the essentials, and quick to get to. A really pleasant stay, thank you!
