Bantam Cottage

Very comfortable and clean.

Had everything we needed. Power shower, dishwasher, hairdryer, iron all very useful. Nice to have tea, coffee , sugar and washing up liquid etc provided. Handy to have a farm shop on site. Abundant wildlife. Peaceful and relaxing. Nice gift of jam and eggs. Would have preferred a more enclosed garden space for the dog as not completely closed off from neighbour. Lots of dog friendly places to visit within a 30 minutes drive: Seaton tram, beaches, Powderham castle, donkey sanctuary. A very enjoyable stay and would return.

Accommodation was amongst the best three we have ever stayed in.

Bed and bedding /towels etc all good quality and everything was spotlessly clean.Lovely quiet location but with close access to all amenities you might need. Clive and Nicky are lovely hosts and we would recommend staying at Bantam Cottage to anyone thinking of booking. Mike and Brida

Clean, well equipped and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful rural setting.

A true little gem in the west country.

Clean, comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. A great base for us to visit family. And to top it off, a little shop so we could stock up on the homemade Jams and honey.

The Barn was so warm and comfortable, well equipped and finished to a high standard.

The beds and bedding were luxurious. I always take our own bedding because I hate poor quality linen, but it wasn't needed. A gift of lovely homemade jam and fresh eggs were provided, and there was tea and coffee in jars. Great communication from Clive the owner by text .He was there to greet us upon arrival. We've stayed in a few holiday homes, this was by far the best. Lovely owners....lovely barn...lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay at Bantam Cottage, which had everything we needed; it was clean and tastefully furnished; the over the bath shower was excellent.

The welcome pack from the owners, of fresh eggs and home-made strawberry jam, was a lovely surprise. Bantam Cottage is well positioned to explore the coastline and countryside of Devon, with National Trust properties within half an hour's drive.

Great location, extremely clean and cottage is supplied with good linens, towels, kitchen equipment and a lovely home shop selling the farm honey and produce.

Property was beautifully clean when we arrived.

The location had some lovely walks very close by. My children loved staying on the farm and enjoyed seeing the goats and pigs everyday. We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and jam- thank you so much! Both Clive and Nicky were friendly hosts.

Cottage very clean and comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Location excellent. Peace and quiet set in a very beautiful spot. Absolutely would stay again and highly recommend.

Stayed in this cottage twice before and always enjoyed it.

Great location to explore all of the East Devon coast line and villages. Owners and hosts live on site and are very nice. They run a small shop and sell their own honey and other locally produced products. Only one safety point - could do with a non-slip mat for the bath when taking a shower.

Bantum is a lovely, clean cottage looked after well.

All facilities are there and the washing machine in a separate shared space was very welcome. The patio was a nice space to sit, but it isnt an enclosed space as advertised. We are fortunate to have 2 good dogs now, other dogs we’ve had in the past would have been on lead all the time as they can easily get to next doors patio. Clive the owner was great, there if we needed anything. Great walks, lovely weather and lots of fab pubs in the area! Thank you

A lovely characteristic property with good outdoor space and super wild flower embankment.

The farm shop sold delicious produce and the hosts were very welcoming. We explored the coast line and each destination we went to was only a 20 minute drive. There is a well stocked supermarket in the village for those sweet treats! Thank you for a peaceful relaxing stay! Michael and Rebecca

No fancy stuff just plain and simple, just what I want. Clive very friendly and helpful. Good base for a short break .

We loved the cottage from the start we arrived.

Nicky welcomed us on arrival and Clive was a lovely host, always ready for a chat. The eggs and jam were a welcome surprise and the food in the farm shop was top quality. We loved the goats and pigs, very friendly and curious! Regan our Collie had a fabulous time too.

We had a lovely time at Bantam cottage.

We met Clive on arrival and chatted. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Quality linen, towels etc were all good. All the facilities worked well. The WiFi was reliable (important for us as we were Geocaching each day). The patio area at the back has been developed and will be very useful when the weather is more amenable. A large BBQ. Parking was directly outside the property so unloading was quick and easy. We have no hesitation in recommending Bantam cottage and hope to return in the near future.

We had a great week staying in Bantum Cottage.

It is cosy and well equipped with everything you need. There was plenty of room in the garden for our two Labradors to run around. Also having a small farm shop on site made purchases of jams, honey, eggs and sausages very easy. The cottage is only a few miles from the coast which the dogs loved. Thank you Clive and Nikki for a the welcome goodies.

Bantam Cottage was the perfect cottage for our family.

Very well it equipped, very clean and comfy. The garden/patio area is surrounded by wild flowers which is beautiful and there is a BBQ available (although we didn't have the weather for it). There was plenty of space for the 4 of us plus a dog and the location meant that we only had short drives to where we wanted to go. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly and their farm shop was an added bonus with fresh bacon, eggs and charcuterie. Would highly recommend a stay here.
