A great place to stay with all the facilities needed for a great holiday

We had a lovely time at Robins Down, it had everything we needed for 2 and our dog.

The garden is fabulous, large but secluded. Loved the shower too. Off-road parking. Perfect spot to walk to the harbour/sea front, and good access to Woolacombe, Hele Bay and Lynmouth. We had a wonderful week and hope to be back soon!

Absolutely spotless.

Made to be very welcome. On the listing we don’t think it specified there was a BBQ and a hairdryer - so we were over the moon to get there and see a BBQ, which got used everyday. The garden is amazing, great size and our dog felt straight at home there. Owners are lovely, very welcoming. Amenities faultless, space perfect for us as a couple with our dog. A short (but hilly) walk into Ilfracombe town, and found parking there was free after 6pm for an evening trip to the harbour.

The facilities were great and the property had been cleaned to a high standard throughout. We also felt very secluded and had our own privacy which was great. We had a lovely time, the hosts are so friendly and happy to help with any questions. Thank you so much

The location was ideal, close enough to walk into town(if you don't mind a bit of a climb to get back!) but far enough away if you like your space/privacy. It had everything we could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful accommodation in a very good location near to good walks and also the sea front and harbour of ilfracombe.

The lovely enclosed garden made it perfect for our 5 month old pup to have freedom to run around. The views from the beach garden is beautiful and the bungalow had everything you needed to enjoy the stay. Will definitely return in the future

Robins Downs was a jewel of a find.

From arrival to leaving the owners Andy and Dorne were on hand to answer any questions and offer help and advice throughout our stay. The welcome pack of wine and milk was a nice touch. The accommodation itself is fabulous, very modern large open space living area with sliding doors looking out to a lovely view and great garden. Full range of facilities available. The large super king bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in whilst on holiday. It was absolutely spotless and is evident the owners have built it with thought and consideration for guests to have a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend Robins Downs, we had an amazing time with our pet who loved the large outside space. Good location, nice and quiet with safe parking. Would highly recommend.

The property is in a great position and we had a great stay.

The accommodation is very good, beautifully furnished with everything you could ever need for your stay. Very comfortable bed. If your mobility is poor there are a lot of steps down to the property but otherwise this is not an issue. The decking area and garden is great and very secure if you have a dog. All in all would highly recommend.

We booked for a week and loved how relaxing and tranquil the location is.

The accommodation is amazing, everything you required, spotless and well thought out. There was wildlife literally on the doorstep, squirrels, different birds and robins that would visit the decking and put life into perspective about what really mattered. Onsite secure parking, with the hosts providing welcome and support alongside a good balance of privacy. There were steep steps down to the property and we knew this from the listing, so we were prepared. The location had great costal walks, easily walking distance into Ilfracoombe and 6 mile drive to Woolacoombe - which was stunning.

We had a fantastic break, the property was well equipped, really enjoyed sitting out on the decking Our Tom (dog) really enjoyed exploring the lovely garden.

Loved this place, hosts friendly and easy to talk too, we would have liked to use the advertised hot tub on Christmas day but that was not available which was a shame, also our dog was bigger than they expected but they let us use the cottage, overall would love to go back in the summer but maybe without the dog.

Really lovely property, was perfect for our week away in north Devon.

Had the best night sleep as the bed was super comfy, really dog friendly with enclosed garden. You’ve got the coastal path literally a 5 min walk away, so I walked ilfracombe to woolacombe which was a great 8mile hike with stunning views. You have shops, pubs, cafes, all within walking distance so is a great place to explore the local area. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful holiday let quiet location yet close enough to the town and surrounding beaches.

Very nicely built and put together.

Very private area and situated 10 minutes from the town. Very friendly owners who are easy to deal with and were happy to help with anything we needed.

A mirror in bedroom for make up/hair and coffee table/footstool would be good. Leave instructions to open/close gate on arrival.

Well equipped with everything you need provided. A very peaceful stay. Convenient location for shops, great dog walks and beaches. Accommodating and friendly owners. The most comfortable super king size bed I have ever slept in. Thank you for a wonderful stay, just what we needed.

It was lovely & relaxing.

A mirror in the bedroom would’ve been useful & possibly another coffee table in the living room but not essential. It was spotless everywhere & family were friendly & helpful. We’d definitely book it again if we came to ilfraconbe. Thanks for a great break.

The property is fantastic.

Perfect for 2 people with great indoor and outdoor space. If you are looking for a relaxing bolt hole then you can't beat this place.

The cottage is excellent : comfortable, well-equipped, peaceful and the owners very happy to please.

However, we had no idea about the 43 steps down to the property. As we are both in our late 70s and my husband has mobility issues, before booking we checked the access with Sykes Collages both through the on-line chat and speaking to Martin directly. We were told the only steps were two or three to the front door. This totally ruined the enjoyment of our holiday. Although we had help with our luggage, from very helpful electricians working on the property on arrival and from the owners when departing, the worry about ascending and descending the steps clouded everything. We understand that representatives from Sykes visited the property several times while it was under construction, so there is absolutely no excuse for this vital piece of information being omitted from your website.

The property was exactly as its listing, in fact almost brand new and pristine.

In fact would love to know where the bathroom tiles were from!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. There were refreshments supplied ( tea / coffee and fresh milk) for our arrival and ice for our G&Ts. Would be really happy to visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
