What guests are saying
An amazing house, set in idyllic surroundings.
Literally 5mins from town but you’d never know it! The house is very spacious yet cosy with warming oak / wooden doors, floors etc. Extremely clean, bright & well maintained. Nothing was amiss, huge range of crockery, cutlery and children’s plates & bowls etc, so well thought out. The hot tub was an added bonus. Very clean and well kept. We all enjoyed the welcome tray of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, plus fresh milk in the huge fridge! It’s so peaceful, surrounded by fields and woodland. Although we only stayed for 2 nights. We are already looking at staying again for longer!
What a beautiful place.
Knowle House exceeded our expectations and the photos don't do it justice it's an absolutely stunning house. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, (just take a few extra tea towels with you). The whole place is beautifully maintained and we were lucky enough with the weather to be able to sit outside every day. Close to Okehampton for shopping, we booked a supermarket delivery for the evening we arrived which was perfect. Highly recommend Wongs the Chinese, and a visit to Drogo Castle. We had a lovely time. Thank You.
Knowles House was everything it said and more.
The facilities were great and it was very peaceful and in a beautiful location. It’s had everything we needed. My only criticism would be that having larger bath sheets would be welcomed for our larger guests and some cutlery by the cooker area, otherwise it can’t be faulted. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be spreading the word to others. We are hoping to be back soon. Thank you for allowing us to share your home and surroundings.
