Description

In a quiet setting, with lovely views over the garden is this pretty semi-detached cottage.

Accessed via several stone steps and a gravelled sloping pathway, Wisteria Cottage is picture perfect and an ideal base for couples.

This former dairy has been newly converted to create a bright and airy living space with original windows, hand stripped wooden floors, beamed ceilings and vibrant eye catching fabrics.

On the ground floor in the spacious living/dining room you can gather with your loved one for film nights in front of the TV and dinner for two at the dining table.

You will want for nothing in the sleek, modern kitchen with its smart wooden surfaces and high gloss cabinets.

When you're ready to retire, you'll find the gorgeous bedroom set on the mezzanine level with a TV and an en-suite shower room.

Wisteria Cottage adjoins the owners popular tea rooms (open Tues-Thurs and Sunday), stay and enjoy a light lunch, cream tea or Sunday lunch or take your feast to your own private patio whilst taking in the cottage garden views.

And with much to do nearby, you'll want to explore the local area.

The National Trusts Compton Castle is just a few minutes walk away.

Head into the bustling centre of Paignton where you can stroll along the esplanade, visit the Victorian Pier or enjoy a fish and chip supper on the green.

For days out, why not head Paignton Zoo Environmental Park or catch the steam train to Kingswear and then on to historic Dartmouth by boat.

The awe-inspiring South West Coastline offers a challenging hike across rugged clifftops and taking in some charming villages.

Further afield are Dartmoor National Park and the golden sandy beaches of the South Hams.

Wherever you spend your days, Wisteria Cottage is sure to delight.

The cottage was very comfortable, welcome pack of wine, cake, flowers and milk in the fridge a welcoming gesture.

Very quiet situation, the steps up and gravel path would be a challenge to anyone less fit than an active seventy year old. . Overall an enjoyable stay, Perhaps a shower mat could be an addition.

Wisteria cottage is lovely but for us to remote very steep climb from car park up more steep steeps than we’re describing tea rooms closed more than open Lanes leading to property confusing and very narrow I don’t think its location is suitable for older people after 5 days we left early and went home sorry I can’t recommend this holiday Richard turnbull
