Cherry Tree Cottage
Description
This 18th century terraced cottage is located in Noss Mayo, facing the river across a lane.
With homely comfort, period features and designer fabrics and furnishings, this is charming accommodation.
Traditional stable doors lead into the sitting room, all cosy and snug.
The two en suite double bedrooms are on the two levels, with a smart kitchen on the first floor where you can open the back door to the garden on a sunny day.
This garden at the rear is terraced, with steps taking you up to a sunny elevated decked area where you can see the river between rooftops.
You have the bonus of a second outdoor seating area down by the river, accessed across the lane and with a table and chairs.
You need only to stroll 200 yards to relax in one of the friendly pubs, which offer a tempting menu too.
Plymouth has all the city amenities you could wish for, with restaurants, a theatre and history to explore.
Around the village are lots of activities to experience, from sailing to paddle boarding, riding and tennis.
And of course, the lovely coastline is the focal point of this South Devon region, with a beautiful sandy beach at Mothecombe and a brilliant beach at Wembury for rock pooling, swimming and visiting the marine conservation centre.
With all this surrounding the cottage, Cherry Tree Cottage is a lovely place for a relaxing break.

Great property in a fantastic location.
Had a terrific week in one of Devon’s hidden gems.
What a great stay!
The little cottage was just perfectly located and beautifully presented - clean, well kitted out and even a bottle of wine on arrival. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
On arrival we surprised to find the property was up for sale, We understand the owners wanting to still offer holiday lettings, but having a for sale sign outside just felt a bit odd.
The property was clean but a thorough dust of all the hard to reach spaces is an absolute must, yes it’s an old property with beams and everyone gets cobwebs, however the kitchen spotlights, ornamentals sailing ship above the cooker and the chandelier in the upstairs bedroom need a good vacuum, along with the seaside themed nicknacks. The bed upstairs was super comfy and the towels and bed linen were lovely quality. There wasn’t much room for groceries as every cupboard was full, so really well equipped with everything from an egg cup to a hot water bottle but better organisation of what’s what’s would help when you self cater. The TVs were a bit tiny .. and we could only get Netflix on the one in the downstairs bedroom, sounds daft but if you get a wash out weather week a bit of binge watch TV is going to happen however hard you try to resist. We really liked that fact there was an en-suite and full bathroom which helped enormously even with just 2 of us, no queues for the bathroom, heating and hot water plentiful and we always always look for a property with a washing machine as we are keen walkers and hurray there was a clothes airer . In such a quaint teeny tiny village parking was a luxury with 2 very friendly pubs in striking distance. The location was picture postcard perfect, the walk around the South West Coastal Path, is in our opinion an absolute must. We loved crossing the Vosses ( causeway) between the villages, and using the ferry to get over to Warren Point although it was £20 for 2 for a return trip. However a real novelty when you live so far from the coast All in all a great week.
