    “Thank you for the generous hamper left in the kitchen, greatly appreciated.”

    The house was superb and gave us enough space for 8 adults and 5 children under 7 years and the dog. It was large enough that each family had some privacy but there was enough space and equipment, cutlery etc that we could all eat our meals together and sit together in the evenings. The garden was just right for the children and dog as it was secure and safe for both. The beach was an easy walk with the children. The area was very dog friendly with the walk over the cliffs and the beach. We ...

Positioned just a few minutes walk from Teignmouth's, popular family-friendly beach, the beautiful Eastcliff Gardens and the town's famous Lido open air swimming pool, everything you could ask for is right here on your doorstep.

You could describe this impressive property as an 'Arts and Crafts' house.

Contemporary and period features have been harmoniously balanced with plenty of unique and quirky detail to add fun and supreme comfort.

A striking new dining room added at one end of the property, sits in stark contrast to the original coach house.

This super stylish, glazed room is furnished with an extraordinary wood dining table and will impress all your Instagram followers.

Open bi-fold doors to enjoy a wraparound timber deck where you can sit in the sunshine with morning coffee and listen to sounds of the sea, which is almost on your doorstep.

A richly decorated, cosy sitting room invites you to snuggle up (there are three shallow, carpeted steps with a grabrail down into the living room).

Read a book, enjoy your favourite movie or check out the ‘fun and games’ cupboard tucked away in the corner.

There is a beautifully fitted white kitchen and two bedrooms: a double and bunk room that share a shower room on the ground floor.

On the first floor you will find a four gorgeous double bedrooms.

Draw straws to see who gets the king-size double with the en-suite roll top bath, or the double with the feature fireplace, original stained glass window and en-suite shower.

Two further double bedrooms share a shower room and each of the upstairs bedrooms have fantastic views over roof tops to the sea.

The garden is gated and enclosed, its gently sloping lawn offering ample space for the whole family to relax, barbecue and play when the weather is fine.

There is also a games room to keep everyone amused, equipped with a pool table, table tennis, table football and darts.

There is ample parking and as you are right in the centre of the town, you can park up and leave the car behind.

Take a short stroll along the promenade to the famous Victorian pier.

The town has some great restaurants and plenty of shops and cafes to enjoy.

For younger ones there is a children’s play park with water fountains.

Teignmouth is a wonderful family friendly resort that will appeal to all ages and interests and is well worth exploring, providing you can tear yourself away from The Coach House.

About the location

TEIGNMOUTH

Dartmoor National Park 12 miles; Torbay 13 miles; Exeter 15 miles.

The historic, seaside town of Teignmouth is situated in South Devon on the mouth of the Teign estuary and boasts a working harbour, sandy beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre and sea activity centre. The seaward side of the town is known as ‘the Den’ and has elegant Georgian buildings, a large public area with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a miniature lighthouse. On the opposite side of Teignmouth are fishing boats and beach huts, plus views of the village of Shaldon and the hills of Dartmoor can be seen. Teignmouth also hosts folk and jazz festivals each year, whilst both the town and Shaldon hold annual carnivals and water regattas. If you decide to venture further afield, there is plenty to see and do close to Teignmouth including; the stunning Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, plus the nearby harbour towns are well worth exploring.
