The cottage was nice, clean, and very comfortable. The hosts, Kelvin and Sue, were incredibly welcoming and always happy to help. Overall, a great experience and would happily stay again.

Perfect for easy access to locations in all directions from there. Nice surprise to find a freezer in the kitchen as it says in the listing's its a shared one. Very friendly and helpful owners who gave myself and my dog a lovely welcome. Sitting in the living room in the evenings was so comfortable after a day out walking. Best sofa I have sat/stretched out on in a holiday cottage. The wet room was great. Loved the shower. A very nice holiday in a place it was a pleasure to return to every day.

What a lovely place to stay , great location, had all we needed to make it a home from home, very dog friendly and the owner was friendly and so welcoming.

We had an absolutely amazing stay.

The property is beautiful with all amenities you could want. Comfy bed, sofa, big kitchen with everything you could need. The grounds are spectacular with lots of beautifully gardened outside space and a lawn for games. It’s very quiet but literally just off the A30 making it a fab base to some exploring. Okehampton is just down the road with plenty of shops and cafes. The hosts couldn’t be nicer- welcoming and helpful with ideas for local walks and places to go to. Can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to come back.

What a beautiful and spacious property in a fabolous setting.

Ideal base to explore both Devon and Cornwall due to proximity of good road links. The hosts Kelvin ams Sue were very welcoming and the cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Would definetely reccommend.

Such a gem of a place.

The hosts are friendly and accommodating, the cottage is beautiful and so homely. Easy to find and being dog friendly in such beautiful settings are hard to find. Will definitely be back

A very nice annex, nicely designed and run by a lovely couple.

The only reason I have not given it a 5-star rating is that I found the bedding and towels smelled stale. Luckily my daughter lived close by and she supplied fresh bedding etc. I would add a health and safety point: in the dark I found that there are trip hazards nearby the door, and I fell badly on my final morning when leaving. Some lighting perhaps needed or at least a torch for tenants' use. Some clarity may also be needed for customers about whether a supply of logs and kindling comes with the tenancy.

Lovely 1 bed cottage in idyllic gardens, loved the chickens and ducks roaming, friendly and informative hosts, thanks for the welcome pack, tea, coffee, scones with jan and clotted cream, lovely!

Comfy big bed, nice en-suite plenty of storage. Good area to relax and watch TV. Stunning kitchen/diner with everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay in mid May would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

A nice place to stay with everything we needed, well positioned too.

This was first time we'd gone anywhere with our dog and he was made welcome. I would recommend it as a nice enough place to stay without a dog too! All I'd question is that the living room is upstairs and kitchen downstairs which makes it difficult to persuade a dog to go back downstairs to sleep if you've been watching TV upstairs together. Hence ours slept upstairs in the living room. We had covers in case he went on the sofas. But he could nudge open our bedroom door easily so we had some disturbed nights. I did find the lounging chair very comfy to sleep on during those nights. On windy nights the light kept going on outside which shone into the living room spooking the dog. There's a washing machine but you need to check the owners aren't already using it. It's a bit ancient and is used a lot. Lovely owners though. Helpful. Chatty. Generous. Thoughtful. I'd go back, but without the pooch.
