The Hideaway

Well equipped self contained studio.

Access is via some very narrow single track roads which are often found in rural locations. Good base for trips inland and to the coast.

We had a wonderful 4-generation family get together using the Hideaway as additional accommodation and which can interconnect to the Red House.

I don’t know if the Hideaway would normally have access to the grounds but when hiring both properties we thoroughly enjoyed the space and especially the grounds. The little orchard was at its best and we enjoyed the countryside walk down to Lyme Regis and local surroundings. The Red House badminton, hot tub, cold barrel and sauna were well used and the garden shower a bonus! The Red house was very well equipped and the books and games provided entertainment too. Very peaceful location. Great location and place for making memories! Thank you.

Excellent place to stay!

Spacious, exceptionally clean, had everything we needed

We had a lovely stay, the accommodation was fantastic, quiet and family atmosphere.

Was very happy with property

We stayed for two nights, but unfortunately the second night was ruined by a big party taking place in the main house (not the holiday home) which went on until almost 6am.

I spoke to the party host and they said they’d informed people living on the estate, however us as holidaymakers were not. I messaged the host via the Sykes app on the morning of checkout to ask if they’d been informed, but received no reply. If we’d known about the party we wouldn’t have stayed here. The accommodation was fine, just a few suggestions for improvement: instructions for checkout (e.g. where to put rubbish, do you want the bed linen removed?), side tables to put your drink on when sitting on the sofa, some starter milk, tea and coffee to go with your welcome biscuits and snacks. The fridge door might need looking at as you think you’ve shut it, but it gets caught on the work surface. Unfortunately we also weren’t provided with a bin bag, a dirty cloth was left at the sink and the cheese biscuits in the welcome pack were out of date. These things altogether meant we didn’t have a comfortable stay. The accommodation was in a good location close to Lyme Regis.

The place was extremely quiet and well appointed.

Not a lot of exterior sitting space. We ended up chasing the sun around the carparking area. Don't try walking into lyme regis unless you are extremely fit. Suggestion to the owner. Supply a small cordless vac to help with the clearing up.

We had a wonderful couple of days visiting Lyme Regis.

The hideaway is in the middle of a beautiful old country estate and has a parking place right by the entrance. It is a very peaceful place to stay and a quick drive into Lyme for plenty of restaurants. We explored the local walks and it was wonderful countryside all around.

The facilities were great and just what we needed for a self catering holiday. The location is ideal. It is set in a secluded spot but only a short drive or amble down to the beach. We will hopefully return very soon!! Thank you.

The accommodation was lovely and very clean and everything you would need for a short stay was provided.

The welcome package was a nice touch. The only downside was whoever was above were very loud and played music until quite late.

We had a lovely last minute get away I have had silent retreat but this tops my list.

If you require internet it drops in and out so suggest you supply your in but as we wanted to live off grid it worked for us with all the modern touches lovely sleep would Recommend a stay Thank you

Nicely done up.

But why cold slate floors ? Tiny sofa tiny tv which was difficult to work. Control on shower not right got burnt or cold. Very small kitchen, no plug in the sink! Washer far too complicated aka microwave. Who wants to stay someware and spend an hour working it out. Not even an iron or hairdryer. A small carton of milk would have been a nice touch as the shop is miles away Not impressed

There were no windows in the lounge/bedroom other than the french door.

the only opening window was in the bathroom. Could be a problem in hot weather. The only cooking facility was a combi microwave but there were no cooking pots/pans to put in it. The bedding was filled with duck feathers which could be a problem for anyone with an allergies which needs to be in the description. The welcome folder could do with more information regarding local facilities. In saying this the place is very nice for a quiet relaxing break.

Lack of information concerning: *extractor fan in kitchen not obvious it us there *the fact that the tv works with WiFi with no direct links to the terrestrial channels which assumes everyone has the necessary IT skills Also lack of plug for kitchen sink.

Directions to the property could have been clearer as GPS was inefficient.
