Rabbit's Warren

Everything was fine.

Nice private corner of the plot. Ample parking. Had all the facilities we needed and was spacious. A couple of things need to be addressed which we pointed out to the owner who was kind enough to check on us.

God bless the person who decided on the roof insulation.

There were some hot days but even with the skylight, the cottage did not get too hot. Bifold doors let cool air in before sleep so sleeping was comfortable. The cottage was clean and the site secure. Everything was as stated in the description including the milk in the fridge. We had a very pleasant stay.

We found Rabbit’s Warren a comfortable, clean and well appointed holiday home.

The bedroom was spacious and the king size bed was comfortable. There was a good sized wardrobe (with plenty of hangers) and ample drawer space. The kitchen had a good collection of knives, utensils and equipment and there was plenty of crockery, mugs and glasses. The electrical appliances worked well, and there were instruction booklets for each of them. The long sofa in the living area was comfortable for reading, watching television or nodding off! We enjoyed a quiet two weeks possibly because the other three similar properties close by weren’t fully occupied during our stay. Although Rabbit’s Warren is right next to a couple of tennis courts belonging to the Country Club, the noise tended only to be the thwack of the balls and game-related conversation. We were surprised how often there wasn’t anyone on the courts.

Very enjoyable stay at the Rabbit Warren.

Well equipped, clean & comfortable property. Very hot in the evenings but the weather was exceptionally hot. Close to the motorway to make visiting Portsmouth & surrounding area very easy.

Very comfortable cottage in a quiet location.

We found the cottage to be bright, spacious and modern.

The kitchen was well equipped, the shower excellent, and the bed very comfortable. The location was also good, being close to facilities and places for sightseeing. We visited the historic dockyards in Portsmouth over a couple of days, the New Forest, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, as well as Chawton where Jane Austen lived. Would have liked to visit the Isle of Wight, but ran out of time. Would certainly stay at the cottage again if ever back in the area.

A peaceful, quiet property, with everything we needed, to a high standard - we would happily return and recommend it.

The whole cottage is a delight and the setting just great.

I was the only one of the three that week ,so it was blissfully quiet with only the calls of the tennis players over the wall to be heard. It was positioned well and I only drove around 8-10 miles a day to get places of interest to me . The massive Marks and Spencer store at Hedge End above Southampton is an absolute joy to a fan of their stores. Pity its such a journey from Suffolk!!

Our second visit and we hope to book again.

Rabbits Warren is so thoughtfully set out for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Very welcome milk, tea and coffee. Well supplied with towels etc. Comfortable bedding and sofa. Warm and light. Well supplied kitchen. Helpful owner too. So relaxing. We enjoy the area and of course the Naval Dockyard with the Mary Rose, New Forest, Brickworks Museum, Titchfield Haven nature reserve and many others.

Absolutely wonderful base.

Well fitted out. Quite. Perfect.

A very attractive and well appointed cottage with high quality bedlinen and a firm comfortable bed.

WiFi worked well and plenty of programmes on the TV including NETFLIX. Useful to have a dishwasher and washing machine, both of which we used.

V comfortable, quiet and spacious semi- detached cottage .

Lovely log burner for cosy winter nights. Great location for exploring the area , including the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth, coastal walks and the New Forest . Plenty of places to eat locally, & out & about. Well appointed bathroom & kitchen; always a bonus to have a dishwasher ! Great to have the facilities of the leisure club to use on site- we did use the swimming pool in the evenings. Loads to do in the area - we could have easily stayed another week, & would recommend this cottage for friends wanting to explore the area.

We had a great stay at the Rabbits Warren.

Lovely accommodation, high level of cleanliness and very comfortable. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful host. Ideal for visiting Portsmouth and Southampton. We hope to come back at some point.

We had a great 4 night stay at Rabbits Warren.

It such a lovely cottage, so comfortable and clean. We wanted to visit the New Forest, Portsmouth and Southsea on this short break and it was in a central location which it very easy to do them all. We will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends, and if we are in this area again would love to come back.

The property was well appointed, very clean and quiet.

The only issue we had was the lack of "sea side" places to visit/eat at in the area.

A beautifully presented property in a lovely tranquil setting.

It was immaculately clean snd had everything needed for a relaxing break. The close proximity to major roads made it easy to explore the surrounding area with lots of goof restaurants in the area. We would love to come back in the future

Loved our stay here.

Had more than was stated in listing. There was an iron and ironing board, a fan, and a hairdryer. The place was immaculate when we arrived and we had a lovely week. Kath who owns the property came at the end of the week and was happy to spend time chatting to us. Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay at Rabbits Warren.

Spotlessly clean, ideal location for all the local attractions and nice and quiet.

This is a lovely little cottage.

Very comfortable and extremely well equipped. We had a great week and hope to return soon.

Had a lovely stay at Rabbits Warren.

Place was clean and tidy. Kitchen well equipped with all the essentials, not that we did much cooking. Pub and Waitrose nearby. Lovely location. Close enough to visit Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Southampton and the New Forest. Only small niggle would be that the mattress is a little firmer than I like. But we both slept well enough. And hot water starts to run out on second persons shower, but that's probably easy to adjust. Would love to come back and actually use some of the country club facilities next time. Thank you Karen.

We arrived on a chilly day to find lovely and warm accommodation, as described.

This is one of the most comprehensively equipped holiday cottages we have stayed in; it was very clean and well presented with comfortable furnishings. The Jack and Jill bathroom was a plus. It is situated in a small picturesque courtyard adjoined to other one, and opposite another. All have their own outdoor seating areas but the weather meant we couldn't enjoy these. It's in a nice quiet spot and makes for a peaceful stay, but not too far away from shops and eateries. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rabbit's Warren.

It was really quiet and an excellent size for the two of us. It was central to the things we wanted to do but a lovely place to return to and relax in peace and quiet. We certainly want to stay again.

We enjoyed our holiday.

Many thanks.

We had a fantastic time staying in the Rabbit Warren.

Great location for all our holiday plans.

Very smart, stylish, accommodation and bigger than it looks in the photographs.

The location is so peaceful and yet really close to the coast and the A27/M27 for visiting the area. A great stay in Rabbit's Warren.

Very pleasant , like home from home.

All bedding and towels top quality. Everything you need in the kitchen. Don't forget to pack a USB and electric saver adapter plug though.

Very nice property in excellent setting with first class facilities.

Location was also good for local coast , shopping facilities , and also for trips to Portsmouth , Southampton , New Forest etc . Portsmouth city centre , historic docks , Spinaker Tower a must visit . Thanks Kathryn , will return in the future

We had a comfortable week and particularly enjoyed being able to have a fire in the woodburning stove, and hope to return later in the year.

Perfect location for Warsash and Hamble Le Rice and exploring Southampton and Portsmouth areas.

Lovely comfortable cottage, well equipped with everything we needed. Always lovely and warm to come back to. Would definitely go back.

A very comfortable well appointed apartment in an ideal position for exploring the area.

Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated and plenty to do in in area.

The owner was very helpful also.

We found the Rabbit Warren a very comfortable, well equipment cottage and after a day out it was a pleasure to return to it.

The cottage is situated In a quiet location and well placed for exploring the area, ideal for walking or visiting or attractions (West Dean gardens are well worth a visit) and a good selection of shops are close by. The only improvement I can think of is it would have been nice to be able to recycle our waste. We will return to this lovely cottage.

Thank you to Kathryn the owner of rabbit Warren.

We had difficulty times as we were having our bathroom renovated and had a lot of issues. We had to extend by two days as we still had no heating and water. Its a lovely place to stay very clean and has all the little extras you need for your stay. We will definitely go back when we have the rest of the house to renovate.

Lovely luxurious little cottage

Great cottage with all the fittings & features we could expect.

Also, such a great location, being very tranquil but only 5 mins drive to the major road networks. We are already planning to return next year.

lovely cottage, would definitely return

We were only using the property for bed and breakfast accommodation, but found it very clean and comfortable and relaxing to come home to in the evenings.

The “Country Club” association sounded great but it was nothing special and did not have any dining facilities - in fact our local council-run basic leisure centre has far better facilities!

However, the rental property was top notch, very clean and had everything we required. There was no visitors’ book to record our appreciation of the property, which is unusual, as was the honesty-box for wine and nibbles. We have often arrived to find complimentary wine and local goodies at properties but never been asked to pay for them. That said, it was obviously not a money making exercise as the products were fairly priced but much more good will would have been generated by the provision of a complimentary bottle and a piece of cake! (However, there was a pint of milk in the fridge). Overall, an excellent property and a good base for exploring the area.

A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a quiet location.

Access to the country club was a bonus.

The holiday cottage, along with its furnishings and fittings were without exception to the highest standards, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and would without doubt recommend it.

...

Excellent facilities and a lovely place to spend a few days

Superb cottage in a great position and will definatly stay again.

The only small problem being the washing machine which locked the door whenever the drying feature was used. It could not be unlocked by following the instructions. The only way to unlock was to use another wash cycle without a dry cycle which meant a long time to still get wet clothes out of the machine. If this minor problem was sorted out I would score the cottage as a 10 out of 10.

Rabbits warren had everything we needed for a weeks stay, very comfortable, warm, quiet, a home from home, plenty of walks nearby but still close driving distance to two cities, would recommend

This was our second stay here, this time for my 50th birthday.

Great place for some peace and quiet, with great facilities on your doorstep. We will be returning.

A quiet, rural location about 4 miles from the coast.

A very well appointed cottage but the only problem was not being able to turn the under-floor heating down low enough. Apart from that, excellent.

Situated in a good location for getting out and about with the added bonus of complimentary use of spa/gym facilities of Abshot Country Club.

The accommodation is furnished and fitted throughout to a very high standard - has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Including washer/dryer, dishwasher, iron & ironing board and clothes horse. There is a full size fridge/freezer, full size electric oven with 4 hobs as well as a microwave. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. There are TV's in the living room and bedroom. If the weather is cold, make use of the log burner, it makes for a very comfy warm and cosy environment. Can't fault it at all and would highly recommend.

The Rabbit's Warren is an absolute winner and incredible value for money.

We were looking for a place to stay near the coast while repairs were done on our boat. We also had project deadlines, so we needed a spacious place with good internet where we could park off for a week. Rabbit's Warren was absolutely perfect for our needs and it was such a lovely environment that we enjoyed every minute we spent there. The place is even better than the photos. A large featured skylight in the lounge gives it lots of light and airiness and the unit has everything you could ask for, including a beautiful, spacious kitchen, dishwasher and a combination washer/dryer, and for me, a luxurious tub, to spend a very comfortable and cozy week there. We also enjoyed use of the full service, but unpretentious, health club and punished ourselves with a couple of grueling spinning classes. My husband also surprised me on my birthday with the most fabulous massage by Elaine, whom I highly recommend for anyone who needs a little TLC. And, although we didn't use them, there's also a full service hair salon and a sports medicine therapist on the premises, so it's a nice way of booking services you might need without leaving the grounds. The area feels like it's out in the countryside, but a decent sized full service shopping center, including a large Waitrose is less than five minutes drive away. Kathryn was a wonderful host and we can't thank her enough for allowing us to stay at her beautiful place!

A lovely hunt to unwind after a long day doing courses.

I would definitely stay here again, even to escape from the busy lifestyle of the city.

This cottage is clean and comfortable, with spacious interior and a quiet location it would be nice to receive a welcome gift like a bottle of wine as a lot of cottages are doing now.

But on the whole it's a nice cottage.

Excellent well equipped accommodation, perfect for a relaxing week.

Location convenient for a multitude of destination. Really good facilities at the Country Club. We will definitely return.

The mattress on the bed was not very comfortable XXXX OWNER RESPONSE XXXX The mattress has now been replaced.

We spent a weekend here and it was lovely, was able to relax.

However in our opinions we found the bed very uncomfortable. The facilities were brilliant it had everything you needed couldn’t ask for anymore. XXXX OWNER RESPONSE XXXX The mattress has now been replaced

Ideal setting for relaxing and a good position for exploring Hampshire

We had previously stayed at the Abshot Country Club holiday accommodation and yet again it proved an excellent choice.

Spotless, lovely accommodation in a very quiet area within easy striking distance of Southampton and Portsmouth.
