Lovely stay in the hideaway.

Very comfortable decorated to a very high standard. It would benefit having a fridge with a freezer compartment as it was very hot when we stayed. Neil and Jo perfect hosts.

Lovely stay as usual, The Hideaway is very peaceful and in a great location for exploring Dorset.

It was very warm during our stay and I think maybe an extra fan would be good so you can keep both the bedroom and main living space cool. Also a fridge with a small freezer compartment would be brilliant. Aside from that the cottage is beautiful and Neil and Jo are always on hand if needed.

We loved our time in the Hideaway in Verwood.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation set in a glorious private garden, with its location being just 4 or so miles north of Ringwood.

Easy access to the south coast and new Forest. We s gem of a property and will not hesitate to rebook in the near future. Brilliant hosts too nothing is to mush trouble.

Great accommodation.

Couldn't find any faults with the hideaway. The access was our only problem. As 80+ year old with mobility problems, it wasn't easy for us to get up to the road. We had to wait to be picked up every time. For younger people it would be great. Saying that we would go back again.

The Hideaway is the ideal place for country walks.

The property was clean and modern, but the toilet isn't ideally placed if you have mobility issues. There's a small issue also with the lounge lights that keep flickering (probably just a new switch needed) and note that there is a fridge but no freezer. The owners were lovely and they left welcome gifts that were much appreciated. We had a lovely relaxing holiday there and managed to avoid the rain most days.

We had a little difficulty in locating the Hideaway as it is not obvious from the road, but that was the only negative aspect of the property.

The Hideaway was immaculate, tastefully decorated and furnished, well equipped and comfortable. It is located in a quiet, pleasant location. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

This is the 7th time we've stayed at The Hideaway and we've already booked for next year.

It's a fantastic base for exploring the many wonderful things in Dorset and its a lovely cottage with fantastic facilities. The hosts Neil and Jo are so friendly and even though you're next to their house you barely know it. Only addition I would add is to swap the fridge for one with a freezer drawer but perfect otherwise.

The property was spotless, the owners extremely pleasant and helpful.

It was a very quiet location with easy access. The only very minor niggle we both found the sofa a little uncomfortable. We would certainly recommend the Hideaway. Plenty to see and do in the area.

The property is beautiful, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, lovely bed linen and everything you need provided.

The setting is absolutely amazing. Beautiful secluded views over owners garden with our own private patio. Easy parking, quiet and peaceful but easy walking access to restaurants, pubs and shops. Nothing not to like. Would definitely return and recommend

Everything we needed was there apart from a decent mirror the bathroom. Jo the owner was helpful and friendly.

The property itself was very well maintained, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would recommend The Hideaway for couples looking to explore The New Forest and its South Coast environs.

This is a lovely bungalow, clean and with every thing you need for a holiday.

Although it is in Verwood it is a very quiet area. The only slight problem for us, being an old couple, was that the sofa is a bit low, otherwise it was perfect. Thank you.

This place is perfect.

I stayed here for three weeks after selling my property and before completing on my new one and it was ideal. Everything was of the highest standard and the place was clean, comfortable and warm. Best and speediest GCH I've ever come across and excellent WiFi which was essential in the circumstances. And Verwood has a lovely selection of pubs and cafes, shops, and a great chippie all within walking distance. Plus lots of walks to choose from if this is what you like to do. I'm hoping to be back for a real holiday next time!

Lovely place to stay anytime of year, spent a break here over Christmas,immaculately clean modern accommodation friendly welcome from Jo,Prosecco and mince pies and a decorated tree greeted us on our arrival.

Excellent pub a short walk away. Highly recommended.

It is a compact unit which is very well equipped with good quality equipment. Neil and Jo the owners made us feel very welcome on arrival and were always available if we had a query. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

If the owner had not told us it was number 40 we would still be looking for it , it is also off the road .

Drive way was steep had to take care when walking .

We had a wonderful week exploring East Dorset combining this with much needed time for relaxing.

The Hideaway was perfect for this. The accommodation is well equipped to a high specification. The location is peaceful yet within easy reach of amenities. The hosts were welcoming and friendly.

We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and shown the facilities of the bungalow which were more than adequate for our needs.

The bungalow was immaculate and well equipped in a very peaceful setting. It was also very comfortable. The perfect setting for visiting places north, south, east and west. We hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

The quality and the cosiness of the place was just what we were after, and it provided a great base for our adventures. Verwood is a lovely town, right on the doorstep of some great walks and places to visit. The accommodation is super quiet, and the owners were brilliant. Highly recommend to anyone!

Our 2nd visit to the Hideaway we love Bournemouth and surrounding area The cottage was again a delight spotlessly clean every thing you need was provided nice outside area to sit in if you get the weather (we didn’t ) but still enjoyed a nice restful break in a delightful quiet setting will return again without a doubt

The holiday property was very clean and beautifully furnished throughout.

The location was good and places of interest were within easy reach. People were friendly and there were local pubs and shops nearby too.

The property was in excellent decorative state and very much to our taste. The fixture and fittings were of a high quality. This was a work trip for us, the location was perfect, access to and from the property was easy, privacy was also very good. A lovely bungalow with beautiful fittings and spotlessly clean. The Prosecco and chocs were a nice touch. I hope to return in the near future.

Well equipped cottage with quality fittings, cooker etc, quiet location, good central location with easy quick access to New Forest and surrounding resorts.

Cottage was slightly smaller than expected but adequate space for two. My only minor criticism is that there is no freeze box in the fridge, when one is on holiday, ice cubes are essential for those holiday drinks. Putting that aside, I would stay there again and would recommend this cottage to others.

Large enough for two and well equipped with above standard appliances. Faultlessly built and tastefully decorated, a true haven. With the back garden area for your use, the perfect spot to relax and discuss the day after touring Dorset .Greeted warmly by the owners and the chocolates and Prosecco were most welcome ! We would definitely go back.

The Hideaway is perfect, great location. so peaceful and its reassuring knowing the owners are just next door if needed. The Hideaway has everything you need. Only small detail I would add is a fan as it gets very warm if its hot out. Highly recommend the property, its a great base for exploring the local area.

'The Hideaway' is an excellent property for a peaceful retreat and is well situated for visiting many places around not only Dorset, but Wiltshire, Hampshire and Somerset.

A modern, very clean and well equipped cottage.

Neil and Jo are very friendly and helpful owners. Located in a quiet area of Verwood but with pubs, restaurants and shops within easy access.

We have never stayed in anywhere so we’ll thought out and clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners were very nice too.

We stayed here 29th May 2021 for a week and it was the perfect location for us.

Away from the hustle and bustle, no road noise just the sound of the birds singing in the trees. The place was immaculately clean, plenty of indoor space and in show home condition with quality furnishings throughout. There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. Because of lockdown we had to wait an extra year for this holiday but it was well worth the wait. This is a 5 star modern holiday let in our book but without the 5 star price.

This was a delightful cottage.

It was finished to a modern & very high standard. Everything you could possibly want or need was provided. It is situated at the end of a short drive in a quiet area in the lovely village of Verwood. Verwood is ideally situated for visiting Southampton & Poole to the south & Salisbury & Stonehenge to the north. We couldn’t fault our stay & can’t recommend it enough.

A warm welcome and thoughtful gift greeted us on arrival. The bungalow is very well equipt, tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and in a peaceful quiet location. Appreciated having the central heating and washing machine. The weather was not great with only one dry day but as the bungalow is in a good location there is plenty near by to do and keep dry. Even managed a long day trip to Isle Of Wight. A highly recommendable property which we would very much love to stay at again.

The hideaway is absolutely perfect in every way-it’s in a very central position-we had lots of great days out,including a trip on the ferry to the Isle of Wight.

We had a great stay at the cottage which is very conveniently located for exploring the area, within a short drive to the coast, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Old Serum and other local places of interest.

Couple of pubs within walking distance as well, The Swans having good offers most nights. We were made very welcome by Neil and Jo at the cottage and it was lovely to receive a welcome gift on arrival. The cottage is perfect for two people, spotlessly clean, nicely presented and well equipped. It was also nice to be able to come back and just relax on the peaceful and quiet patio area after a day out sightseeing. Overall all, we had a great stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to others.

Second time booking this cottage and it was everything we remembered, it was like a home from home and the hosts couldn't be friendlier.

The accommodation was lovely, it was the perfect setup for a quiet getaway - beautifully laid out and well equipped for comfort, and so peaceful.

The accommodation is a very short walking distance to a lovely pub, and to the local supermarket - perfect - and is on the doorstep of such a lot of the best places to visit in Dorset. The owners have designed a lovely holiday let for visitors to recharge their batteries. We could not recommend it more highly.

Really appreciated the thoughtful little bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been curtains in the bedroom, as the blinds let in a bit of light in the mornings. But overall it was great.

Owners left us a nice bottle of Prosecco and box of chocolates. Morrisons have a new large supermarket just down the road. Cottage is perfectly situated to tour the area, lots of National Trust properties within easy reach. New forest is very close with lovely open countryside and views of the ponies.

People reliant on wheel chair might find path from car to accommodation difficult - limestone chips quite rough.

The cottage was simply lovely.

It had everything we could have possibly needed. It was very clean and furnished to a very high standard. It is the perfect location for exploring around 10 mins to New Forest and about 20/25 minutes to Bournemouth by car. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again in the future. Also thank you for the procesco and chocolates - lovely touch!

In between selling our house in France and relocating back to the UK our week's break in this superlative holiday let with the friendly and helpful owners was a restful relaxed one.

The property was modern and is of a very high standard, everything was of a very good quality and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Neil and Jo were the perfect hosts, very helpful and accommodating, would stay again.
