A delightful property in a great position for exploring North Devon.

Owl’s Nest is very well appointed and the owners are welcoming, friendly and only to happy to help with suggestions of places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and have no hesitation in recommending it.

It was a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed the time in Elaine‘s and Michael‘s Cottage.

There is everything you need for a few Perfect days in Devon. House is very clean and cozy and the garden was perfect for our dogs. Thank you

Owls Nest was an amazing holiday for myself, hubby and our dog.

The cottage was everything we could wish for and more. Clean, comfortable, quirky and home from home! ..Elaine and Micheal were such lovely hosts and people. The farm and gardens and the dog field are amazing. Central to Ilfracombe,Saunton sands, Exmoor( all within 20 miles) half hour!!.. but the cottage is out the way and peaceful on a working farm. Just how we like our holidays.

After a full day's traveling we were delighted to arrive at such a cozy and comfortable cottage.

A tea tray with goodies had been set for our arrival making us feel very welcome. The downstairs space was perfect for ourselves and our two small dogs. Everything we needed was available to us. The double bedroom had great space and a very comfortable bed. Brilliant bathroom with a fabulous shower. Our dogs loved the spacious fully enclosed garden, great for humans too. Hosts were warm and friendly and couldn't have done any more for us. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Owl’s Nest has everything you need for a perfect stay, the surrounding areas are stunning and great location for exploring North Devon, the owners are nearby if needed and are very welcoming but you also have your own privacy.

Owl’s Nest has so much history and has been sensitively restored by the current owners into not just holiday accommodation but a home with all the comforts you need and if you want the perfect break then we would highly recommend staying here - it really is a special place.

Exactly as described, welcoming owners around should you need them, very dog friendly which was lovely, warm and cosy with everything needed, nice and quiet for a good nights sleep ( heard the owl several times

We had the most lovely, friendly welcome from Elaine and 'Ben' dog.

The cottage was gorgeous, comfortable and well-equipped. There was peace, quiet, bird song and bleating sheep. Just perfect! Nothing was too much trouble and Elaine left a delicious welcome tray of chocolate cake and tea/coffee for our arrival. The local area has lots to do but some tourist/seaside places not open in March, so be aware. The pannier market in South Molton & Quince Honey Farm are worth a visit. We will be returning. Thank you Elaine & Michael. So pleased we found your little gem of a hideaway.

Fabulous stay and very welcoming host

Thankyou for a lovely relaxing stay in Owls Nest.

We needed time out to relax from our hectic lifestyle and somewhere we could take Tia ( our very old dog). The cottage was nice and cosy and had everything we needed. Thankyou Elaine for being an attentive host and helping us out with the thing we forgot to bring. Tia says thanks too, she felt very settled. We loved the area and how everywhere we went was so dog friendly. Would definitely recommend .

We all had a fantastic holiday at Owls nest it was clean comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

Our hosts were really lovely including Ben. We especially liked the enclosed garden and massive secure field for our 2 setters to enjoy, we didn't want to leave and will definitely be going again in the future Thanks again to Elaine and Micheal our hosts Julie, Dave, Murphy and Bracken

The cottage was excellent and the hosts so welcoming.

Upon arrival we found a fantastic Devonshire cream tea waiting for us and a very kind welcoming note from our hostess. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday to anyone and look forward to staying there again next year! .

We had a wonderful stay at Owls Nest.

The cottage was like a home from home. Elaine and Michael were perfect hosts. The cream and scones waiting for us in arrival made for a lovely treat. And the visits from Ben (retired farm dog), made the stay perfect. The cottage is well situated to visit all areas of Devon. We enjoyed a variety of coastal and in land walks.

the cottage was great nice and relaxing with great views and ideal for exploring North Devon the couple were very kind and welcoming nice to come away relaxed and refreshed

A lovely cottage.

Central to get about. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Excellent and secure facilities in the field for our dogs to run around in. We will definitely look to visit again. Thank you for a lovely holiday

A wonderful week's stay.

Very comfortable, spacious and extremely friendly owners. Great location for both inland and coastal walks. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is fantastic and very comfortable.

It has every thing you need for a totally relaxing break. Elaine and Michael the hosts are perfect and really helpful. fresh home made scones with cream and jam on arrival was a lovely thoughtful touch. Set in a really quiet working farm in the heart of the most beautiful countryside make this a location we will re-visit

A beautiful well equipt cottage with fabulous views.

Very comfortable with all the home comforts you need. Scones on arrival were a lovely surprise and delicious!! Would highly recommend. We had a wonderful week!!

Owl’s Nest is a fantastic holiday cottage.

We arrived to lovely flowers and a cream tea waiting for us on the dining table. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable - no faulting it. The outside space is nice and peaceful and perfect for sitting out in. Elaine is really naively and she was on hand for any queries we had. We found the cottage location ideally placed for exploring North Devon and would definitely come back if we holiday in this area again.

Adorable cottage, in adorable setting.

Was greeted with a warm welcome from our Host Elaine, and "Ben". After which we decamped, from the car, and found our inviting space, in living room and bedrooms. We took our cream tea, that was prepared for us to the seating area in the garden and enjoyed the last moment of the "golden hour". We thoroughly enjoyed our relax and recuperation chilling in the evenings, and our sleep was great each night. Owls nest was in a convenient spot for getting to the coastline each day. We enjoyed our visit to Saunton, once in rainy conditions and the following day in sunshine. We used our last day to pack up our stuff in relaxed situation, and left with happy hearts before leaving to visit Lynton. As it was a birthday treat and holiday for one of the grandchildren, I think the choice was excellent, and went down well and enjoyed by all. One of the nicest choices made in this area, would I go again... Most certainly.

The'Owls nest' was very comfy & very clean.

Elaine, the owner was very friendly & helpful. It's rural location was peaceful. We would highly recommend it

We had a wonderful week at Owl’s Nest and such a warm welcome from Elaine,Michael and Ben.

I really loved the little touches like the dog gate separating the room and the beautiful enclosed garden, which ensured our young dog was secure and happy. The cottage was ideally located for exploring the whole of North Devon but so quiet and relaxing. Thank you, we’ll definitely be booking again.

Lovely cottage.

Elaine and Michael were very welcoming and attentive. The cottage was very clean and well equipped and had lots of information on hiking, local restaurants and supermarkets etc.. The cottage is well situated for exploring Exmoor and it is not too far to venture south to Dartmoor. Thank you for a great stay.

Elaine and Michael (not forgetting Ben) are excellent and friendly hosts.

Superb, clean and very comfortable cottage, has everything you need when on holiday. Great location for walking and exploring North Devon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hope to book again. Have no hesitation in recommending Owl Cottage as ideal holiday home for that well relaxing break.

Have just returned from a wonderful extended weekend at Owl's Nest.

Elaine, the host was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area, and took time to make sure we were settling in, and her welcome biscuits were delicious! The cottage is lovely - extremely clean, comfortable and has all the facilities you need for a stay in the country. It's in a great location for exploring Exmoor and the local villages and towns. Thank you so much Elaine - will definitely return in 2024!

We stayed a week, a lovely time spent here, lovely hosts, spotless and comfortable cottage, in a peaceful setting.

Hope to be back again.

Delightful property with every home comfort, plus fabulous views!

Sheltered, private garden - a real sun trap whilst we were there - to enjoy the BBQ. A real joy to visit the many coastal towns in North Devon - scones in The Greenhouse, Lynton , are second to none!

We had a wonderful time at Owl's Nest, thank you!

Elaine and Michael are so friendly and helpful, and their dog Ben is lovely. Our children were allowed to help feed the sheep which made their day! The cottage itself is very practical and comfortable, and we highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage, clean and comfortable.

Elaine and Michael are so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and so did our dog, thank you both. We would definitely love to stay again.

A lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world.

A cosy and comfortable stay.

Elaine and Michael were most hospitable. Thank you for accepting the booking at short notice and to the helpful, friendly staff at Sykes who were super to deal with!

An incredible stay.

The house is absolutely perfect, cosy , impeccably clean. Beautiful area.

Thank you for a lovely stay and warm welcome.

the cottage was fully equipped, clean and well thought out with games and books. Was really interesting to see the photo album showing the process of the original renovation of the property. We loved being welcomed by Benny the dog when we arrived back from days out. Thank you very much. x

The holiday cottage was lovely and hosts excellent.

Skye's email at the end of the holiday was rude ,sarcastic and tainted to that was a lovely holiday.

Well what can we say.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owls Nest and the welcome we got from Elaine with her cream tea was very much appreciated indeed. It was a joy to come back every day to such a warm comfortable cottage and especially the warm welcome we got from Benny the dog! Would 100% recommend anyone stay here.

A great place to stay.

Owners were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was lovely and the farm setting was great. Our kids loved feeding the sheep and playing with Benny the dog!

The cottage and facilities were amazing, the hosts were friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and will definitely look to return.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage.

Elaine and Michael were so welcoming, with a lovely cream tea and fresh flowers waiting our arrival. The cottage was spacious and well equipped, with everything we needed, and in a fabulous location. It is a bit difficult to find though.

Just returned from Owl's Cottage.

We had a wonderful time, relaxing at the Cottage and exploring North Devon. The cottage is well equipped with comfortable furniture and is very dog friendly with straight access into garden. Plenty of space for our dog to play in designated field and was very safe. The owners, Elaine and Michael were very welcoming and friendly, always happy to chat and offer advice. Thank you. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to return.

We had a wonderful time with such lovely welcoming and friendly hosts.

Owls nest and its surroundings are perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. Plenty of information in the cottage as well as the hosts knowledge. The dog had a great time with the freedom of the fields and the children enjoyed vising and feeding the lambs. It's a perfect place to see Devon and we will be returning.

Lovely place in a lovely setting,so peaceful, would definitely recommend it,Neil & Dawn from the isle of wight

A beautiful 17th-century cottage in wonderful quiet surroundings.

Excellent facilities in the cottage and a warm friendly welcome from our hosts! A very pleasant stay with good access to the surrounding area. Looking forward to returning another time.

Just come back from a week in owls nest, the cottage is cosy and homely and Elaine couldn’t do enough when we had a power cut,we arrived to a cream tea which was amazing and fresh flowers I can’t thank Elaine enough for sharing her cottage and being the perfect host will definitely be returning

We have just spent a very relaxing week in the owls nest a beautifully converted shire horse stable in the most idyllic setting.

Elaine and Mike were ideal host’s who went well beyond the usual expectations of a holiday let. We will certainly return as a week wasn’t long enough.

Beautiful cottage and location.

We absolutely loved our stay. Elaine and Michael were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Such a peaceful break with stunning views.

A beautiful fully equipped doggy friendly cottage.

.When we arrived the cottage was already warm and toasty ready for a cosy night. The Owl's nest is the perfect cottage for taking your pooch along. Definitely will be coming back, highly recommend.

Elaine and Michael made us feel very welcome.

They were cheerful, helpful and always available.

Wonderful hosts!

Elaine took our girls three times to feed the sheep which really made their holiday extra special! The dog had his own field to let off steam every morning. The home was superb. Literally only improvement would be for a more comfortable mattress in the double bed. Otherwise the home and Holiday was faultless.

We had such a lovely week at Owls Nest.

The cottage is incredibly well equipped and decorated lovely. We were very comfortable and enjoyed returning at the end of each day. Elaine is very welcoming (and so were the scones) and the kids loved chatting to her each day. She even took them into the field to feed the pet sheep, which they loved. The views are stunning, surrounded by fields and sheep. We took our dog and he had a great week too!! We would love to return.....the kids want to stay for 2 weeks next time!

Fabulous cottage, clean, well equipped, location beautiful, very friendly hosts, Ben the dog was a hit with our six year old grandson.

We had an excellent holiday at owls nest.

The cottage was perfect, with everything we needed, and a cream tea to greet us! Elaine and Michael were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be returning at some point

Owl's nest was a great place to spend our holiday it was beautifully clean and well decorated with every thing you could ask for for a comfortable stay.

The enclosed garden was great for our dog to be able to go outside safely and lovely to site in to enjoy a drink or meal for us.South Moulton is a good place for exploring the area and we had great time travelling round. The Owners are very friendly and welcoming and always happy to help. We would definitely recommend this holiday stay if you are looking for somewhere in this area.

We had a lovely week at Owl’s Nest.

Elaine was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome, even ensuring everything was ok on the 2nd day (braving the rain!). The cottage is well equipped and they seem to have thought of everything! The garden is well enclosed but there is no direct access from the house which may be a problem for those with dogs for letting them out particularly if they have wandering tendencies! All in all it’s a lovely base for a beautiful part of the country and we would definitely recommend.

Good location for visiting North Devon area.

Very friendly hosts. Useful adjacent area for dog walking. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Very pleased with Sykes in general - friendly and obliging staff.

Everything about Owl's Nest was perfect.

Elaine the owner was warm and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cream tea with fresh scones and fresh flowers which awaited us on our arrival made us feel instantly at home! If its peace and tranquillity you want, waking up to bird song and the occasional bleat of the sheep with perfect views then Owl's Nest is the place for your holiday!

The cottage is on a working Exmore sheep farm, Elaine and her husband are very friendly, as is Ben the sheep dog.

Feeding the lambs was the highlight of the week!

Fantastic week’s holiday, two of us plus Labrador loved Owl’s Nest and the farm run by very friendly professional hosts.

Cottage is very private, old with lots of character, high standard modern kitchen/ bathroom etc. Good walks from the cottage and short drive to Exmoor moors. Local town has great market place for local food, crafts, antiques. Location is perfect for exploring the amazing beaches, many have huge dog walking areas all year. So many beautiful places within 45mins drive of Owl’s Nest including Lorna Doone Valley and Valley of the Rocks as our favourites. Absolutely recommend Owls Nest and would consider rebooking.

Tranquil setting and very comfortable accommodation.

Hosts are very keen to ensure you have a wondrous stay. Thankyou very much.

Such a lovely location and the owners could not be more friendly or helpful.

We felt so welcome. The cottage is beautiful and has lovely views out of every window. It is really well equipped and you don’t want for anything. It’s the perfect base for exploring North Devon. We hope to go back again soon

Booked the Owls nest for my husband as an anniversary getaway.

We took our two dogs, who loved how much land there was to explore and loved playing with Ben the owners dog. This cottage is the perfect place to escape everyday life and just enjoy peace and quiet. The owners are super lovely and accommodating. We would definitely go back again.

Lovely rural location with the owner on hand to give useful advice.

Friendliness 0f Michael, Elaine and Ben.

We really could not fault this cottage.

It was a truly lovely location, the cottage was very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished. The shower was amazing as was the heating if needed. You couldn’t wish for nicer owners, friendly and chatty if that what you want, but also left well alone with just a passing wave when needed. We will certainly return.

third time we have been to owls nest, elaine michael and ben the dog are excellent hosts we always enjoy going there

Brilliant holiday.

Elaine and Michael were very welcoming. We have a nine year old who loves farming, he was feeding the sheep every morning with Elaine and flying kites in the field in the afternoon. The house is in a lovely position and was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this house.

Had an enjoyable holiday.

The owners of the cottage were always on hand if any problems occurred. The cottage was well equipped and the enclosed garden was ideal for our dog. The cottage was ideally located to explore many locations. All in all a home from home.

The cottage was spotless and very comfortable and catered for your every need in every way.

Elaine the owner was the perfect host she was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her,the cottage is definitely a credit to her and her husband.

the garden is not as big as the photos show .

there are 6 steep steps up to where the table and chairs are on a very small grassed section.

The Owls nest is a great little cottage.

When I saw it advertised on the internet i thought that's just what I need to get away from the hustle & bustle, just to take it easy and relax, but not too far from the beach or the shops. Elaine was there to meet us on our arrival. She is such a lovely caring and helpful lady, nothing was too much trouble for her. Then when we get inside WOW,lovely kitchen, real comfortable sitting area.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. 2 double bedrooms. Everything spotlessly clean, just perfect. Thankyou so much Elaine & Mike for helping make our stay at The Owls nest so enjoyable. Hope to see you again next year. From Gloria &John

Great cottage, complete with gorgeous dog Ben!

What a super week we enjoyed in Owl's Nest cottage at Poadmarsh Farm.

Elaine and Michael were so kind and welcoming allowing our 15 year old daughter to help bottle feed Hector the lamb and even taking her out to the top fields to meet the other sheep! We were greeted with homemade cake and tea which was lovely after rather a long 'Bank holiday' type journey! There are lots of places to visit within a 45 minute drive and the accommodation is perfect for dog owners. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is a private garden (accessed to the left of the front door, not from within the property itself) backing onto fields of sheep and perfect for a BBQ. The beds were comfy and the cottage was super clean with homely touches. We left feeling relaxed and recharged and can't believe we have never explored this little corner of England before now. If you want a lovely 2 bedroomed cottage to do the same, don't hesitate in booking this little gem!

EXcellent location for what we wanted.

....and closeby to a major trunk road for Devon was very useful

Lovely location in peaceful , tranquil part of Devon , yet easy distance from communication and facilities .

Mike and Elaine , the hosts , are superb . Helpful and friendly and very welcoming. Owl's Nest has been renovated with taste and flair and retains its authenticity ,. Every comfort is provided . I cannot praise the cottage or the hosts highly enough. Most recommended.

Wonderful, simply wonderful.

Owls nest was one of those diamond cottages where everything seemed to have been thought of. Cosy, comfortable, loads of character and clean. Very child and dog friendly and the owners were so friendly and accommodating. A wonderful stay thank you.

Elaine & Michael were wonderful and friendly hosts.

Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in a lovely, not too isolated and access to Exmoor and the North Devon coast is easy. We will go back again sometime.

Owl's Nest is a lovely cottage with open plan kitchen/living area & two good sized double bedrooms upstairs.

The property was comfortable, very clean & had everything we needed for our stay. Elaine, the owner, was very friendly & we loved being welcomed home each evening by Ben the dog! We'd highly recommend staying here.

Had a really relaxing week fantastic location Owls Nest was perfect would love to go back again highly recommend it!

We had such a great time on Podmarsh Farm.

Elaine was a very nice host, the nighbours in the other House were friendly and the weather was from his best side. Everything was so well equiped, the kitchen, the BBQ outside and the beds were comftable to get a good night sleep. A very nice place to stay! We did great tourings by bike and foot, exploring Devon S. Roessner Germany

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, very clean and the layout and space was perfect.

It’s also set in stunning surroundings which is so peaceful and perfectly located to get to the local amenities and beaches. The owners of the property were such lovely people, so welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone you certainly won’t regret staying here. We will definitely be going back next year and look forward to seeing Michael and Elaine for a drink in the garden and of course there amazing dog ben who was totally adorable.

Owl's Nest is a lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location, offering great views across North Devon and Exmoor.

The cottage is very well appointed and we wanted for nothing. The garden is secure, secluded and has a barbeque and garden furniture which we enjoyed using during this balmy, unforgettable summer. We had a great week here and Elaine and Michael are lovely hosts and Ben, their working sheepdog, is full of fun and loves to play ball. We hope to come back and savour the Devon life again another day!

This cottage Is beautiful, Elaine and Michael are lovely hosts nothing's to much trouble and its lovely to wake up to the sound of the sheep and lambs.

Nice place to recharge your batteries
