We had an absolutely gorgeous stay over the weekend.

Everything was spotless and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. The decor was so lovely and modern, we would love to stay again and would highly recommend.

Hi Claire and Fred, Your house was absolutely amazing, fully equipped and you did all you can for helping and supporting us.

It was very appreciated by us. Also the guide in your house was very helpful. We have one tip for you. Maybe you could make the garden al little bit more attractive. Our view was obstructed by a 3-part fence. When we want to visit Somerset again, we definitely consider your house. See you next time.

A really lovely property, well equipped with everything we needed.

Perfect location for exploring, we visited Stourhead, Longleat and Clarks Village during our short stay. Would recommend and hope to return again.

Accommodation & dairy farm site is superb; comfortable, extremely clean, & private, with a lovely and enclosed back garden that is private & dog friendly/secure - essential for us as our dog always comes with us.

We would describe the accommodation as spacious, high spec, with a scandi/contemporary feel & decor, with everything one needs for a comfortable self-catering break - a home from home. The towels, including bath sheets, and robes are a nice touch along with the additional Cowshed quality products ... shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, hand wash and hand cream were very welcomed & appreciated & makes for lighter packing of ones suitcase as well. The only addition we suggest is a tv in the master bedroom, as after full days exploring there is nothing quite like a cuppa watching tv in bed. The owners are really lovely people & should be very proud of what they have achieved, thank you both, we will return. A big thank you for the cheese and crackers, a product from the contented cows of the farm, yum! One can choose to stay on site or, as we did, explore the many beautiful surroundings that are all within an hour or so by car; Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Glastonbury and many more. This is a working dairy farm & you can see the hard work of the owners and how well the animals are looked after, they roam and graze all day in the fields of the farm. This was particularly nice to see as the cows/bulls are beautiful animals and we feel animal welfare is paramount. Thank you very much for a lovely stay. We will return. Accommodation was awesome.

Spacious, comfortable, plenty of utensils etc. Well thought out, high spec. Group enjoyed it immensely. Great stay.

A very pleasant stay, with easy reach to coastlines both north and south.

Some nice local walks and places to dine out. Accommodation was spotless.

Great property, so clean and spacious - great for our dog, but also for our son who uses a wheelchair.

Whilst the property is not listed as accessible (the thresholds on the door are quite high and it doesn't have grab rails etc), the inside is fabulous being open plan, and the wet room and bedroom on the ground floor is great - so we were able to manage this well. The cows are beautiful and made for a really interesting stay. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back.

Stunning property….

.very modern ….but the flies were horrendous….sadly these things can’t be helped…but there was a can of fly spray provided!..

A problem with flies - we have to go and buy some electric fly bats and some fly papers to keep them under control.

The electric zapper provided was insufficient to control the number of flies that came in from the cattle. Could have done with a little more toilet paper Only provided 4 dishwasher tablets for 7 nights Was a hot week and needed a fan in the lounge - it’s a god job we bought our own Otherwise accommodation was great and we had a good week

Seating area in rear garden and front door area need cleaning and tidying up.

Air conditioning filters were filthy and needed to be cleaned during our stay. TV needs to be set up for Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Just had a lovely relaxing week staying in Linden Barn.

Property was exactly as you see on the website, spotlessly clean with high end appliances. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely phenomenal accommodation and what a lovely host in Fred - who answered the phone immediately when we rang.

The barn is a sleek, modern and airy space, which has been fitted and decorated to the highest standards. It has a Nordic "Hygge" style to it. All homewares are quality brands and we loved that the toiletries are by "Cowshed". The entire space is beautiful and we are taking design inspiration home with us. The fundamentals are spot on: - Large comfortable bed - Great water pressure in showers and bath - Immaculately clean throughout - Loads of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery - A great size garden that IS fully enclosed for large and for small dogs Not only all this, but you are allowed to walk the entire farm grounds, circa 300 acres and the property is so easy to reach, drop off the Wincanton A303, but very peaceful. Stourbridge is 12 minutes away and Cheddar Gorge an hour away. Highly recommended and huge thanks to Fred for a fantastic stay.

This is our second visit in 4 months having stayed at Basswood Barn in September with friends holidaying from Holland.

I can honestly say that we feel these are the best properties we have ever rented as they are so well maintained, spotlessly clean extremely well equipped and furnished. Everything in our opinion has been thought of to make a holiday perfect. The owners attention to details is second to none including robotic mowers which avoid disturbance by a gardener. If we could award 10* we would!

The barn was beautiful, it was comfortable, spotlessly clean, the quality of the furnishing and decoration was impressive and there was everything available that you could ever think of.

There were welcome gifts and special delivery of a gift for Christmas I loved every day of our 14 day stay thank you for a wonderful Christmas break.

Amazing property with every home comfort you could wish for (and more!

). We loved the high spec gadgets including the underfloor heating and magical blind. We went on the weekend of Storm Bert and so weren’t able to utilise the lovely garden seating. We were very warm and cozy though. Loved our stay and have already recommended to family. Hoping we can return to try it in the warmer weather!

What a beautiful 10 days we had at Linden Barn.

The decor is superb from top to bottom. Lovely comfy bed, fabulous shower and all equipment of the best quality. A really fabulous place to stay Can't recommend it enough.

This was our second stay at Lime tree barns last time was in the Tilia Barn The standard was as good as the first time and did not disappoint.

If you are 6ft tall beware the steel beam in the upstairs bedroom. The only improvement that could be made is to the roadway in as it has a number of pot holes. We will stay again and much enjoyed our visit.

This is probably the best holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in.

It was extremely clean, well presented, well lit and beautifully warm. The ev charging was what originally attracted us to the property, always a plus when you have an electric vehicle. We loved the Barber cheese left for us in the fridge so much I’ve ordered some online. I reported a problem with the outside hose and it was literally fixed within minutes. All in all a lovely stay. We hope to visit again.

The property was well maintained and spotless on arrival. All the furnishings and fittings are top quality and you can really see a lot of care has been taken in the maintenance of the property. Plenty of room for four adults. Thank you once again.

Our stay at Linden Barn was amazing.

The way it has been designed and the quality of the fittings and features is exceptional. The living area, kitchen, and both bathrooms are straight out of a show home. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. We could not have asked for more, and if you do need anything, Fred the caretaker is always happy to help. A great base for exploring Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. We will definitely been returning.

Every time, another level of detail. This trip we enjoyed the bbq (spotless) and even some local cook books! We’ll be back. Again.

Lovely place ultra modern cleanliness it was spotless and all the utensils you may need ,the beds were nice and comfortable showers are lovely with plenty of hot water,sitting in the garden was a pleasure with comfortable outdoor furniture and barbecue, supermarkets and fast food nearby and a pub 5 minutes drive,highly recommended.

It’s was super stylish & extremely comfortable. Everything you could possible need is there & Fred was super helpful on several occasions due to a flat battery on my car. I loved the welcome pack

The property was very clean and ready to welcome you.

The track to the property needs a sign as if dark on arrival you find it hard. The house has everything you need for your stay, however a chair suit to sit and work in would have been helpful as was working whilst try. I enjoyed my stay and my family came a visited us bring my new grandchild and will return again. Host very helpful and easy to reach , they contacted us when window were being which helped with our dog there.

This is a very modern property.

Everywhere was clean and tidy and there was an electric air freshener so everywhere was fragrant and the property was lovely and warm with underfloor heating. A toast rack would have been useful. We did have a lovely holiday in a super property. EV charging was very usefully.

Of course the place was fantastic, I could tell from the pictures!

The shower was the best ever. The attention to detail was also fantastic. I met the owner one day and he was lovely, letting me walk my dog in his fields. The weather was appalling but it was everywhere in the country. I did receive an extra cleaning bill of £84 and some pictures . I can honestly say that both blue cushions were stained on the backs when I arrived because I noticed them when I picked all the downstairs cushions up and moved them, as I didn't want my dog grabbing them. I did mop the floor on the Thursday as it had been raining like mad and dog paw prints were all over the downstairs tiled floor. I mopped the paw prints off but I'd obviously missed some dirt by the back door. I assumed the cleaners would mop the floors anyway . There was also some dirt on the chest area of the robe which I didn't notice but would of assumed would come out in the wash. I put one of the bath mats in the washing machine but from the pictures it looks like it's gone grey, so apologies for that. I have stayed in many self catering places all over the UK and Europe and never had such feedback before, but such love and care has gone into this place that the owner is rightly very proud of the immaculate nature of the property and wants it to remain that way. I'm just sorry that i didnt notice these things before i left and made a better job at cleaning up! It's put rather a dampner on a lovely stay. Anyway, it's a lovely place and anyone who gets to stay here is very lucky indeed.

Linden Barn felt like a magical place over the Christmas period.

The owners put us a big real Christmas tree up for us and they even blocked in the back garden so our small dogs could go for a little run around. The barn itself is amazing. Warm, welcoming and fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. The kids even said “We’ve never stayed anywhere as posh as this”. I think we were all blown away with how fabulous the place was. There’s a Morrisons and Lidl literally five minutes drive away so perfect for stocking the cupboards. We didn’t get to see much of Wincanton because it was very bad weather but we didn’t care because the barn was so lovely the kids didn’t want to move anywhere. Amazing place and would highly recommend giving it a try.

A fantastic property.

5 stars for this wonderfully designed and built home. A great location for arrival and for travelling to differing beautiful towns and heritage sites nearby. The owners have completed a fantastic 3 properties using Scandinavian design and Eco credentials. We had a lovely stay and it is dog friendly.

The Linden at Lime Tree Barn in Wincanton - not sure where to start!

The barn conversion exceeded expectations with its high-spec fittings, luxurious White Company home fragrances, and top-tier Cowshed toiletries. The attention to detail extended to the quality bedding and towels, as well as the well-equipped kitchen. The combination of these elements contributed to a truly first-class stay in a delightful location. It was immaculate inside and outside, we tried our best to ensure we left the property as we found it. Absolutely faultless and a credit to Fred and Claire, the owners. We'll be back!

This was the perfect place to stay to explore parts of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire and we would recommend it to anyone wishing to do the same.

The standard of the accommodation was extremely high, similar to what you would see on ‘Grand Designs’ and it was clear that everything had been very carefully thought of when designing the barn. We were able to have a relaxing week away exploring the area with Linden Barn as a great base to come back to every day.

Well this was a lovely place well designed and situated in a great position.

Linden Barn was everything we'd hoped for and more.

It was a perfect base to explore Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. The weather was warm for September so having air conditioning in the bedroom was a very welcome luxury. We travelled with our small puppy and the garden was perfectly enclosed to allow her to roam without worry. Fred, the owner has thought of everything including a lovely welcome basket of local cheese, crackers and apple juice. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful rental.
