Holly Cottage

A wonderful cottage with everything!

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in a beautiful location. I will definitely stay here again and again!

The whole place was lovely loads of character the people in Somerset are very helpful this is my thirteenth stay in Somerset and Dorset as you an tell I love it here

We had a really lovely time at Holly Cottage.

It is so beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our small children and dog. We went on day trips to Montacute House and West Bay/Bridport and there was much more we could have explored in the area. My favourite bit of the house was the comfy window nook - perfect for reading after the kids went to bed!

Great base and location.

Cottage clean, tidy and well equipped. Beds also comfortable. Parking available for only one car, however plenty of parking in Church car park a couple of minutes walk away. Recommend a visit to the New Inn, made welcome with good food.

No mention of bathroom being down stairs If you have a big car parking is very awkward

The kitchen implements were not clean.

The lounge area has seating for 3 but the cottage sleeps 4 The shower was awful

We have had a great week at Holly Cottage apart from the road noise!

The delivery of newspapers at between 4 - 5 every morning was very noisy. We think fans will be a necessity during the warmer months, unfortunately we had to sleep with the windows open which didn’t enable us to get much sleep. The house is very well equipped and comfortable although could not find a dustpan or iron. Beds very comfy and everywhere vey clean and well supplied. The New Inn made us very welcome and well worth a visit.

Holly Cottage is a wonderful place to stay if you’re planning a visit to Somerset or Dorset.

Ideally located for the Jurassic Coast, Glastonbury and many other places of interest. The cottage is beautiful and very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need and there was even a pint of milk in the fridge and some welcome treats! The village is lovely and we received a warm welcome from the locals in the Royal George Inn. The Sunday roast was amazing! And a scotch egg or West Coker Cannonball from the local butchers, still warm from the oven is a must. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. Myself and my family will definitely be back. Thank you Holly Cottage for a lovely holiday.

The cottage is beautiful and has been restored to a high standard.

It was well equipped and the off road parking was a bonus, albeit a right squeeze manoeuvring in and out of with other cars present. There were two major flaws for me; the mattress and pillows were cheap and extremely uncomfortable. Given the standard of the downstairs, this was a real disappointment. The second was a lack of washing machine. I personally would have sacrificed the dishwasher for one. When you are back from a beach walk with a wet dog, it would have been so lovely to chuck towels etc in. If those two points were addressed, I would be back at every opportunity!

The property has been decorated to a high standard overall, very clean and has all you'd need for your stay.

A cot / highchair was also made available for our stay. We did find the stairs a worry for little one as it's immediately outside both bedroom doors. We loved the fresh milk, tea, coffee, biscuits that were left. It was a lovely touch and so nice to be able to have a drink on arrival. A welcome book would help as the bin/s for instance were confusing and totally different to anything we have back at home. The garden with outside seating is a lovely touch and very enjoyable to sit out in. The parking is quite tight and with a big car we found it difficult to get out when other cars were also parked. Overall though we've loved our stay, would recommend and come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Holly Cottage, the cottage had everything we needed, very comfortable and clean, fantastic walks for the dog our on door step.

Great central location to explore Somerset. Fantastic relaxing break and would definitely stay again.

Holly cottage is a little gem in a small village.

I would definitely recommend this cottage. Even with the road blocked off due to road work it was not noisy. A lovely little pub and lovely residents. The property has everything you could want. We will definitely be back.
