A brilliant property for rest and relaxation after busy days at the coast or exploring the surrounding countryside.

Lovely cottage peaceful and a ideal base for nearby attractions i would give it 10 out of ten pity orthor cottages are not to this standard

We had an amazing stay at Cherrywood Barn, it was so peaceful and was just what was needed.

The property was fully equipped, it was spotlessly clean and was just gorgeous. We will definitely be booking again

Veranda with orchard view. Lovely, quiet village setting; many walks available close by. Excellent village pub with extensive outdoor seating. Close to a few shops in S.Petherton for supplies.

Very spacious, warm and comfortable accommodation, with a pleasing view over an orchard.

Hard to fault it. Well situated for National Trust properties and the famous East Lambrook Manor Garden is about 3 minutes walk away.

What a peaceful setting just to the north of South Petherton with a wide variety of birdsong for company as you relax on the verandah looking out over the orchard.

Everything as you would wish from the warm welcome from the hosts, well equipped kitchen, comfy king-size bed to the roomy powerful shower. 5 minute walk to a pub serving food, several NT properties nearby and 20ish miles to Hive Beach at Burton Bradstock - even retail therapy at nearby Street Clark’s outlet village! We had a lovely week here and will recommend to our friends and family.

Very enjoyable long weekend spent at Cherrywood Barn.

Hosts very welcoming. Accommodation very comfortable and well maintained. Local pub (Rose and Crown) and short walk away and made to feel very welcome. Lovely food inc Sunday Carvery. Lovely views from balcony of the wildlife and birds. Would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely accommodation, peacefully located behind the owners property with easy parking beside property.

Walks from the doorstep and lovely village pub only a few minutes walk away. The weather was very wet when we were there (January) so we did not use the ample outside covered space. Access to the property is up steps and across a lawned area. It would be beneficial if the lawned area had some paving stones as this did get very wet and muddy underfoot due to inclement weather.

Great tranquil place to stay with everything you could need, I felt safe and secure and my dog Ruby felt at home as well.

The views were stunning and the property was modern but also had a rustic charm.Derek was super friendly and helpful and the fresh apple juice and cake was delicious. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again or recommend it to anyone, I look forward to visiting again.

A perfect stay at Cherrywood Barn.

A friendly welcome from the owners who left us delicious home made apple juice and lemon drizzle cake. Accommodation was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The heating kicked in quickly and kept us cosy.The kitchen had everything we needed , the living area had a comfy settee and tv with lots of channels and a dining table for two. The internet was good. The bedroom was spacious with a comfy bed and soft bedding and a full length mirror. The shower was nice and powerful. Although the barn was in owners’ garden you weren’t aware as had separate entrance and parking. They were welcoming and friendly without being obtrusive. We couldn’t fault our stay and would highly recommend a stay here.

A very pretty and peaceful property in an attractive village.

It was very spacious, warm and comfortable for a couple, and everything had been thought of. Great bathroom, comfy bed and well supplied kitchen area. It overlooks an old orchard with wildlife visiting, we saw Green and Great Spotted woodpeckers, and apparently deer can be occasionally seen. We used it as a wintertime base for visiting National trust places, nearby towns and museums, in the summer it would be lovely for rambling and walks, (the very friendly owners provided a good range of maps and instructions). The coasts are within reasonable reach (about an hour each way), if you fancy a longer day trip. The local pub is a few minutes walk away, and we enjoyed some nice meals there. The property is upstairs and reached by steps, just to be aware.

Very well presented barn conversion in a perfect location in Somerset to explore.

Comfy bed, lovely bathroom with a great rain shower with plenty of hot water. Open plan kitchen living area with everything you need. Good Internet. Owners left a delicious lemon drizzle cake and some home made apple juice for our arrival. Lots of National Trust properties to visit nearby. 5 stars.

We loved our stay Cherrywood barn , we were met at the gate by the owner who was very welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know.

It’s a lovely peaceful location and we enjoyed our walks around the area. The property has everything you need and it was very kind of the owner to make us a lemon drizzle cake and home made apple juice, which we enjoyed. We enjoyed our trips to Barrington Court and Haynes Motor Museum and the local village of South Petherton. Had a lovely meal and welcome at the pub in the village The Rose and Crown. Definitely would recommend for a relaxing peaceful place to stay, just one small thing the gate to the property was difficult to open wide to get the car out as it drags across the lane, but it wouldn’t stop us recommending. The owners are very welcoming and you are greeted by a lovely welcome gift.

The setting is perfect, we loved the village location which was ideal for dog walks and enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking an orchard. It was very well placed for the visits we wanted to make to Cheddar, Wells , Langport and Somerton. We would definitely stay again when we visit the same area, and would have no hesitation recommending to others.

Beautiful surroundings and the accommodation is top class . They have thought of everything …. Even home made apple juice and the best lemon drizzle cake ever which was such a thoughtful addition on our arrival . We really did not venture far apart from the pub a 2 minute walk away ..

A warm welcome from Mr and Mrs Baker to their fabulous Cherrywood Barn, tucked away in an idyllic, quiet hamlet near South Petherton and looking out onto garden and orchard.

Our hosts gave us valuable advice about places of interest and where to visit with our dog (Ham Hill being a great example). They had prepared lemon drizzle cake and apple juice for us. If I could improve anything at all it would be to supply milk and tea/coffee. Overall it’s a TEN from Louise, Jeremy and Buddy!

Great location, quiet and private. Accommodation was clean spacious, warm and comfortable, exactly as promised. Good central location for places of interest.Highly recommended. Only thing I’d add is that there might be a need for some anti slip measures on the outside wooden stairs as potential slip hazard when wet. Would definitely revisit this site. Great!

What a wonderful place to stay.

If you want peace and quiet this is for you. Derek was very helpful and welcoming. Comfortable bed and a grest shower, always a bonus! Lovely off road walks which our dog loved, as did we. 5 mins walk to the Rose and Crown which a perfect pub. Welcoming with great food and drinks. Nice 30 min off road walk to South Petherton which is a beautiful village. The Holm is a must for a meal and the Brewers Arms is another lovely pub with a coop just down the hill.

The accommodation was lovely and clean and the area was really peaceful and quiet. The lemon cake and apple juice the hosts left for us was lovely and they were there if we needed anything but also left us to enjoy our holiday. Good location for us - saw two sets of friends and did some sightseeing all in a short week-end.

The property was quirky, spacious, warm and relaxing. Probably one of the better places we have stayed East Lambrook is lovely with gardens and a pub 5 to 10 mins walking Hosts were welcoming and available when needed Lovely place to stay

We had such a peaceful stay for a Christmas getaway, a very spacious property, the photos do not do it justice, the cake and apple juice were a lovely welcome, would definitely recommend to friends and family if they wanted to stay in the area.

We found the barns location in East Lambrook was a great base to explore Somerset further & cannot recommend more highly. The owners where very welcoming. Cherrywood Barn was an excellent property to stay in - quite spacious for 2 plus our dog, with very clean, modern facilities (eg oven), and a lovely setting behind the owners house surrounded by trees, flowers, and a lovely lawn with the sounds of nature a really soothing and relaxing background.

We felt really welcomed on arrival and was able to use the property as a great base to visit other places, but also lovely for local walks and a couple of evening meals in the local pub. Definitely a place that we will consider going back to

Our hosts were very friendly and approachable. The setting was quiet and peaceful but with plenty of opportunities to explore all that Somerset had to offer. Will definitely return in the future and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Had a lovely stay at Cherrywood Barn, everything was spot on.

Our only problem was we could not figure how to work the oven and microwave as digital, difficult for older people like us but we had planned to eat out most of the time so not really a problem. We were very lucky with the weather so we're able to make the most of the lovely balcony and peaceful surroundings. Local pub a very short walk away and fantastic Sunday lunch. Owners Catherine and Derek were so nice and the Lemon cake and Apple Juice were so nice to have on arrival. Only thing we feel that could have improved our stay would be to have access to a couple of relaxing garden chairs to enjoy the garden. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This was our 2 nd visit to this property as we liked it so much.

It was very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is situated in a pretty village with easy access to the Dorset coast and there were several national trust properties within easy reach.

A modern barn conversion in pristine condition, with just about everything there anyone could need for their stay.

Excellent. The only thing I would have liked from Sykes was, in addition to the travel directions, would be SatNav coordinates or what3words to assist in locating the property entrance.

We were greeted by Catherine on our arrival and show round the barn.

This property is outstanding ! Extremely well built, tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is perfectly set out and the bedroom has lots of space and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for 2. Having the covered balcony is a nice touch, offering somewhere tranquil to sit on a warm evening and enjoy a glass of whatever you fancy. The Lemon Drizzle cake and Apple Juice were greatly appreciated too ! It was great choice for a base for our excursions, within walking distance of the local pub for evening meals and a drink. We would recommend Cherrywood Barn to any couple looking for a friendly retreat.

Cherrywood Barn was a delight to stay in.

Catherine and Derek were very welcoming. There was a delicious cake and their own apple juice to enjoy whilst relaxing on the balcony. The barn itself was spacious, modern and clean with quality bedding, as was everything else provided. There are nice walks from Cherrywood Barn itself, particularly to South Petherton that is just right for a circular walk as there are cafes to break the journey and a baker selling locally made bread. The nursery and garden at East Lambrook is a must for plant lovers. We have a further two weeks booked later on in the summer and can’t wait to go again.

We enjoyed sitting on the veranda having a cuppa watching all the wildlife. Owner met us at the bottom of the lane as we arrived much later than expected. We would have struggled to find it in the dark. Very welcoming. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wishing for a relaxing break. Thank you. The cake and apple juice were delicious!

The Cherrywood Barn is a tastefully converted barn.

We were welcomed with homemade apple juice and delicious lemon cake. Peacefully situated in East Lambrook, the Cherrywood Barn is a great place for a break in a rural setting - walks start from the garden. Yet all amenities are nearby; the pub around the corner and all the shops within walking distance in South Petherton. Recommended!

What a fabulous property, everything we could have wished for and more.

Our host, Derek was very welcoming and helpful, and the bottle of champagne in the fridge was a lovely treat to see in the New Year with. Plenty of interesting places to visit close by , Montacute House was a joy to go round, and lunch at the Kings Arms at Montacute is highly recommended.We will definitely be back here.

If only all holiday lettings were as well thought out as Cherrywood Barn.

We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and the location. Nothing was too much trouble and as a couple with a dog in tow this was about as good as it gets with the hosts giving us good hints and tips on where best to go. We could not fault one aspect.

Cherrywood Barn is an exceptional property.

Felt really at home in peaceful surroundings and welcomed by owners who have done a magnificent conversion job.

The cottage is in the most beautiful picturesque village and meeting the locals was a real highlight.

We used the cottage as a base to work from and to adventure around Somerset, Devon and Dorset. After long walks and sea air it was nice to come back to the cottage, to sit on the veranda, drink some home made apple juice and cider, eat some home made lemon drizzle cake whilst watching the sunset over the apple orchard. We never wanted to leave.

This is a real gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle.

If your looking for total relaxation then you won’t be disappointed with this beautiful accommodation and wonderful owners.

We had a fantastic time during our week at Cherrywood Barn; the area was beautiful & quiet, with many cracking walks right from the doorstep.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful & large & the kitchen was well equipped. Derek & Catherine were excellent hosts, who’re knowledgable about the area & who also make good cider on site(!) . The lemon drizzle cake which came with the welcome gifts was DELICIOUS!! We would certainly come back for another stay in the future, if we could award 11/10 stars, we would do. Thank you to Derek, Catherine & Nora! (Woof)
